I am disappointed with the customer service that I received from Tashmans. I had a sliding mirror replaced about a year and a half ago. It wasnt placed properly and has been wiggling back and forth within the frame the entire time. No mention was made to me by the guy who took measurements prior to ordering the mirror, or by the guy installing the mirror that there would be need to have the frame replaced in addition to the mirror. The mirror just broke spontaneously, I spoke with Lucia over the phone. She wasnt very friendly, and told me that it broke because I "did something to it" and I the only reason why I didnt replace the frame at the time I replaced the mirror, was because I "didnt want to spend any money. Well, now I have hundreds of dollars down the drain, and all I will not be using Tashmans in the future for any home repairs.

What a wonderful store - like stepping back in time where courtesy was extended to all. I went there to discuss my insurance agency in the WEHO area and Kenny was very gracious in talking to me and I was not even there to buy anything. My husband is a GC and he knows and likes this store. I wonder if they decorate for Christmas and that takes you back in time too. I will have to check it out! But I will be back there before then, something always needs fixing at my house. If they do not have it in stock - you do not need it.

Incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff. Im always amazed that no matter what Im looking for, someone will say, "Oh, you mean this?" walk to an aisle, and then come back with exactly what I need. If youre looking for corporate, look elsewhere. This is like being at a hardware store in Mayberry. The staff makes you feel right at home, there to help with whatever problem youre having. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

We selected the enclosures we wanted after shopping around and making sure that Tashman was giving us a good price. The man that came to measure and then install was very nice and did a great job. I havent had any windows installed but I think they are a great alternative to Home Depot which I keep telling myself Ill never go back to. They are knowledgeable and Ive found them to be helpful. I used to shop at Laurel Hardware but its a restaurant now. I think their prices are very reasonable and I dont mind paying extra for customer service which you dont get at the big boxes.

Great service, and many items are compatible with prices of the big stores. Convenient local store, with great support and help! Extremely repeat customer for many years!!

these guys are a rip-off. If you want bait and switch this is the place to come. I ordered a window at a $150 install price. they tried to switch and charge $250 for install for a window that was $290. Plus they tried to charge over $100 for two brass hinges and a window latch. Got to be kidding. Absolutely not the place to shop.

Tashman installed an enormous one-piece tempered glass window in 2010 and Ive asked them back since to install two new crank-outs in my office and replace both of my big sliding screen doors in the kitchen and dining room. Top quality materials and craftsmanship, on-time performance and very pleasant folks in the bargain.

Finding good tradesmen that can expertly restore original materials, repair original work to the existing quality or provide new work that matches quality, style, and integrity of the 1920s is difficult to say the least. Got my keys copied here by Taylor. She was super helpful and detailed oriented. My key was a bit unique and she really took the time to make sure the blank is the appropriate key. I know there are other cole hardwares in the city, but this one is the best! They even have a master locksmith onsite.

I have been using Tashmans since I was a kid. With LA traffic Tashmans has anything you might need, from paint, screens and hardware. Prices are reasonable and the staff is great. Some of the staff has been there for over 15 years.

Great local Hardware store. Yes there are big box chains out there. BUT here you get personalized service. Selection for tools is a little limited but they are working on getting a new line in on power tools according to the owner.
