You know how if you have pets with special dietary needs, nothing out there really helps entirely? I felt like I was always missing something or that the pet food industry was missing some pretty basic facts. There are all kinds of special foods out there, but once you *have* to buy special foods for your pets, you realize that youre actually quite limited. If you refuse to give your pet the "prescription" food that seems to make them even more sick, then youve struggled to find the right options for your pets to save you from cleaning up constant messes or tons of vet visits. Go here. Go to Protein for Pets. Contact them ahead of time if you dont believe me. Before I bothered going to the store, I wrote their company to ask for recommendations for my special needs pets who seem to not be able to tolerate most anything. I got a huge list of recommendations of food brands I had never HEARD OF before back from an extremely helpful lady, who happened to be at the store the first time I ventured in. Protein for Pets proves that despite all the specialty pet foods out there, there was still more- there are companies out there that get the basics our pets need without an insane price tag. Just- most stores dont order or provide those foods for some reason, and they are not experts like the staff at Protein for Pets. I will have difficulty shopping anywhere else from now on. Maybe in a pinch or only for our pets that dont have health problems (yet). On the expensive foods that I used to buy at other stores that Protein for Pets carries, the price is much lower than the chain and other specialty stores. Frozen raw diets? I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM!!!!! They only sell the best foods, yet their prices are AMAZING!!!! They even have a food that they make themselves, its grain free and super health, yet a 50lb bag is $16!!! I almost didnt believe her until she showed me. They were even willing to give me the food I had been buying on amazon at the same price!!!!! Plus even though I live on the far east end of Simi valley, the girl still offered to deliver my food directly to my house!!(I declined of course, because I work in that area anyway, and wouldnt want them to make the drive). Both the workers I met also knew soooo much about every food, and explained to me that whole ordeal about science diet, and walked me through the store until I found the perfect food for my dogs. Also the best part was when I went to check out, she gave some samples of all kinds of treats, and foods. My favorite being a raw food called sojos complete, that lasts forever, you just need to add water, wait 15min,and it ready. Perfect for an emergency kit!!! Both girls were also so kind to my 2 dogs. I brought them in a little stroller, and they let them both come out and play around the store. Both of my pups were also stuffed up on sample treats and cuddles while there. Neither wanted to leave, I had to drag them both out of the store and into the car! I cant wait to go back, and neither can my pups!!!!!!!

Awesome place! Dont have very man things besides food, but the stuff they do have is always TOP quality. For instamce my dog has one of their Rok leashes and i couldnt be happier about it. Hes a husky and likes to pull so this leash takes out the pull by spreading it across the rubber core inside it. Also the food is TOP SELF stuff.
