Overpriced store. They are only interested in getting profit. They will be nice in the beginning to hook you into this expensive hobby. Once they earn your trust, they will start upsell and overcharge you. They sell crappy product for high price. Go to SCV Aquarium. You will save money big time. For example, they charge $40 or higher for yellowtang fish. SCV aquarium will charge only $15. Wholesale price for yellowtang is about $7-10. So you are paying 4 or more times to valencia pet. Cleaner shrimp I paid $40 in VP. I paid $15 in SCV Aquarium.They all come from same wholesale. If you are setting up new tank, you will pay about 30% (70% less) in SCV Aquarium than what you have to pay Valencia Pet. I was once Valencia Pet customer. I had so much trouble with them. For instance, they billed me $900 for just changing pump, and didnt resolve the issue. I contacted SCV aquarium, they solved it for only $150 with high end product. I became SCV aquarium customer and never looked back. I upgraded to 180 gallon salt tank from 60 gallon. I paid same money for setting up 180 gallon. Very high quality. If you have money to burn, just go ahead to valencia pet.

I had a horrible experience with another local fish store buying and setting up my first saltwater tank. They sold me the wrong tank which the motor broke after 1 1/2 weeks leaving me with frag coral, shrimp, and a clown fish dying. I went to Valencia Pet and they helped me pick out a new salt water tank, supplied me with the CORRECT water testing kits, walked me through the process of each test, allowed me to pick out some amazing live rock, which they had just got in and was still in the back room, and even gave me the most beautiful fan frag coral for free!!! I love them for being so helpful, informative, and treating me like a family member when I was FREAKING out about my first tank!!! You guys are AMAZING!!

The only bad thing i can say about this store is maybe the lack of inventory (compared to other stores). Other than that the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to share their knowledge with you. They also will give great deals on used equipment such as their display tanks which, are in great shape. The livestock is in excellent condition and much better looking than most pet stores. I go here once a week for my water changes and I have never seen neglect towards the animals or see the cleanliness ever decline. This is best store for salt water fish in Santa Clarita. May be slightly pricier on certain things but you are getting quality along with a quality helpful staff.

I bought my fish and his food here. When I ran out of food I went back to get more. The owner said she was out but had another brand. I bought that only to find my fish wouldnt eat it. I went to return the food for a refund or exchange and the owner wouldnt do either. She assured he would eat it?? Well he didnt. I left without her crummy food and bought the brand I needed at Walmart for half the price.$2.78 instead of $5.What kind of owner would lose a customer over $5. this owner. So rude and shortsighted

I decided to set up a salt water aquarium. I had no idea what I was doing, The staff at Valencia Pets are the best! They taught me everything about how to start my aquarium, buying the right fish/corals and talked me out of “not reef safe” fish (even when I wanted them! Lots of hard to find fish/corals! Super clean that really takes care of the animals. Very patient and helpful!

This store has all ur salt water needs & if not they will get it for you. They have fresh supplies of fish & coral ever Tue. They are very knowledgeable on fish/coral & will help you with whats best for your tank/fish.

Great local Fish store. Everyone here I super helpful and knowledgeable. Nowhere in Santa Clarita has more saltwater fish and coral. Also just a fun place to go and look at fish.
