I had a bad experience in the store on Tampa near the Costco. I brought in a product which we were told was a defective, it was Inova. The managers (s) really didnt help us at all. And we have been a a loyal customer. But your managers did not deal with what I wanted to happen. We had been told that there was a recall with the Inova, nevertheless your people did nothing for us. And we had heard there was a recall but the manager had no clue of working with people these are the worst of worst people in this store. For sure I will not go into that store again. And we have done so much business with you. I guess I can give a shot to the store on Chatsworth even though its a little further. I cant believe the poor dealing of the manager on Tampa is not good with people-- I wont be dealing with this team. It is a disgusting team-- all of these should be fired and get new people. Ive never seen this kind of bad service and empathy with customers. Isnt it the people and customers really count-- not in that store. Disgusted horrible. Bad experience. Bryan Haserjian

Went into the store to buy some food for my aquatic turtle and a few fish for the pond. The food selection was a little disappointing in selection and price, but I made a selection. Then I went and located the fish I wanted to buy. An associate walked up and asked if I needed assistance. I said "yes, Im going to buy some fish." He replied "let me get someone to help you." Then he walked away. I waited for almost 20 minutes. No one came. As I waited, I got a good look at the store. It is in dire need of cleaning . After 20 minutes, I decided to skip the fish and check out with the turtle food. There were 3 employees standing around an office door gabbing when I approached the check out line. A fourth employee asked " are you ready to check out?" I said "yes." She said "let me get someone" as she walked away from the registers and went to get the first employee who couldnt help me in the first place. He was busy flirting with a young girl who was stocking shelves. I put the turtle food back on the shelf and found another store to spend my money in.

The man working in the grooming salon nicked my dogs nail (unbeknowst to me), my dog nipped at him (unbeknownst to me), and he stormed out of the room stating that the service was over with no explanation. I understand that safety is the highest concern for both him and myself; however, I did not deserve to be treated in such a fashion. I will not be returning. P.S. My dog weighs 9 pounds, is shy and I was fully cooperative in doing whatever the groomer needed me to do to make this a safe experience for everyone. In fact, I called the store a week prior to find out what I needed to do to make this a smooth experience. I did not demand to have the service completed, nor did I make a scene about my dogs nicked nail. I came to this store to have professionals cut my dogs nails, and I learned the hard way that the groomer was unprofessional and rude. Again, I will not be returning.

When i walked into the store there was no one insight, also it took me 15 to finallu get some help and that was because i had to go look for and employee to help me. The funny thing is that he was standding around with 2 other associates just talking and we i said "excuse me" to get their attention he seemed disturbed. in charge of the aquatic section refused to seel me fish. He judged me by looking at what I was buying. That was very unprofessional and rude. He said that I didnt know how to take care of an aquarium however at least half of all the fish they had were floating, gasping, and swimming abnormally. Also there was a hug number of fish that were dead and the remaining fish that were alive we eating the dead ones. I could tell that they had been there for a long time because the corpse had been ripped apart. WORST PLACE EVER also its very dirty.

I have 10 bucks in pet perks and decided that I would check out this store seeing that they have saltwater fish there. I was getting some emerald crabs, hermit crabs, and some sharknose gobies. As the aquatics "expert" was lifting up the the rocks to get the gobies, I observed some movement on the rocks. After further observation, the rocks bottom was covered in fire/bristle worms. The "expert" claims they wont spread throughout the tank just through water, bacteria, and such. However, with multiple years of experience, a tank that previously had an infestation, and a huge amount of research on the worms, yeah, right. If you are looking for fish, inverts, anything pertaining to saltwater and is in their water, DONT DO IT.

After an 8 hr shift from work I was finally free to take my dog to PETCO for his nail trim last week. I wasnt aware that they closed at 7pm that day but I arrived at 6:15pm. The girl at the salon didnt smile or acknowledge my presence until she was done walking from her chair to the front desk. Long story short, after about 15 minutes I came back to pick up my dog and she begins to lecture me: "Next time dont come in when I only have 30 minutes left before closing." I was the ONLY customer there. I am very disappointed in their customer service and poor people skills. I will not be returning to this place again.

Horrible experience! First time walking in the grooming salon.. The lady in the front did not welcome me.., her name was Jennifer.. She was rude too me! Very unprofessional greetings by Petco and very unprofessional bad attitude... My dogs didnt like her vibe because she was mean to the dogs and aggressive to the dog.. This employee needs more training if she going deal with pets..she was also mean to me as a client... I will Never go to this place For grooming or anything else.

I was appalled by the treatment of the red eared sliders. There are way too many of them in one tank. Many had white marks on the backs of their heads where they had been attacked from their tankmates. Either dont sell res at all, or care for them properly, one or two in a tank that size max is what a tank with 10+ res had in it. Additionally during my stay not one employee approached or tried to help me, and the selection of aquarium decorations was picked through and boring.

I like the Northridge Store, yes there are some issues with parking when the IN and Out store is busy. Yet I plan my trip there around that issue. I find the people there friendly, and courteous and the prices most times good. I mainly visit the Aquatics section for tropical fish and plants and supplys.
