I walked in looking for a pair of Clark Desert boots. I walked up to the front counter and asked if they had any, they pointed me towards a corner display of the store. I stood there looking at them for a maybe a minute when an employee came over to me and asked if I needed anything. I asked to see some of the shoes in what I thought to be my size. He brought out the size I requested, plus a size lower. I tried on both, and decided these shoes ran massively large and I needed a size down. He brought out the next two sizes down and helped me determine which ones fit me better. He was fast, cheerful, and very knowledgeable about shoes and companies. I finally decided on a pair and left. Great experience with helpful and knowledgeable employees who helped me have a great experience.

The selection is quite large and the shoes range from stylish to hipsterish but not business casual or athletic. There is a special section featuring a sizable (~15-20 different shoes) and broad selection (saucony, converse, vans, roos, oniisuke, puma, etc.) of large shoe sizes (14-18) for those with big feet. There is a much larger section for those with feet 13 and below. Staff are very helpful and accomodating--they let me try on 10 shoes without getting angry. Special orders feature a satisfaction guarantee. They sell a few different kinds of shoe expanders--very useful for when the perfect looking shoe needs a half a size more room.

This shoe store is old school if you consider fantastic customer service and a no-nonsense return policy to be old school. Great selection of quality stylish shoes that are constantly being updated with new models. Great example of the best kind of local business!

Amazing shoe sales! They do great side walk sales. The mens selection is really good! I recommend going to the back of the store. In the very back in the mens there are a lot of good sales.

I LOVEEEEE this store. Every time I visit Santa Cruz I buy a new pair of shoes here. The staff is friendly and they have shoes that you cant find anywhere else. This is a great shoe store!
