Made the worst deal Ive ever made in my life here. Sean lied, without telling me, about my income to get me the smaller down payment, he wooed me by letting me take a Saab convertible to drive as they held my car for days "getting it ready" effectively making it impossible for me to do my own recon, go get the car checked on my own, and made me totally unable to return the car under Californias 3-day return policy. Im new to buying cars, and was a little desperate, and I think they noticed that. The 3-month warranty they gave me, I feel, as a secret token of apology, did me no good as the cars damage was categorizable as "wear and tear" even though it broke down on my way up to Washington two days after driving it out of the lot. Be smart with these guys, and dont let them let "their guys" take a look at the car. Now Im stuck making payments for four years on a Volvo that scarcely goes over 40 mph that nobody wants to work on, including myself! I feel so foolish, and can own up to my own mistakes, but make no mistake: these guys are a business, they have their tricks, and though they are very friendly - buy carefully!

I was hesitant to deal with another small time car dealership, but they had the exact car I wanted. With that said, my experience at Trax was nothing but extraordinary! I first spoke with Carlos over the phone, and he was nothing but professional. It put my mind at ease so I made the trip to San Mateo from Sacramento. Once I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and service paperwork/carfax on the car I was interested in. He gave me the keys and said "take your time". I did and when I returned, the process was flawless. Carlos is a no-hassle, genuine guy who lets the customer talk (Im saying this with upmost honesty). Trax gave me a fair amount for my trade-in, had me approved before I ever stepped foot in the door, and expedited the process as I was on a time crunch. I was in and out in an hour (including test drive). I am very happy with my experience and the way I was treated by Carlos. Definitely recommend and will shop there again if I am in the market. I have bought and sold 12 vehicles, and this was the best experience I have received, no question. Two thumbs up!

I was skeptical to drive all the way to San Mateo from Santa Cruz, Ive always gone car shopping in San Jose, but these guys had a pretty nice deal. So, took the drive up to check out the car, met with Carlos and the car was exactly as advertised!! Plus they had a special offer going on that included a 4year warranty! Carlos was not pushy or rude like a lot of salespeople! He was very helpful and knowledgeable and just overall real cool and easy to deal with!! Carlos got me a nice loan approval with Wells Fargo! Even though my credit is not the best he still was able to get me a lower rate than my bank. I received full KBB trade-in value for my car, didnt take a whole lot of haggling which I hate to do. So FIVE STARS all the way!! Thank you Trax Auto!

I bought an Acura MDX from these people and I drove the car home and noticed when I stop and take off it felt like someone had kicked me and I took the car back once he said motor mount was bad so he fixed it and I told him I didnt think it was a motor mount it felt like tranny is bad but he tried to say it was the mount. This place sold my father in law (who is battling cancer, I might add) a car for $5900. Took it to get checked at the mechanic and there is $7900 worth of work that needs to be done. Yes, they sold him a totaled car. Thing is, my father in law took it on day 3 to the mechanic to get it checked out so the used car buyers remorse grace period was no longer in effect. Yes, this was a bad move on his part, but the fact remains, they sold him a car that was "totaled". Nice work, you screwed over a cancer patient. Congratulations. Beware of doing business with this place.

These people are terrible at customer service. They are dishonest and a waste of time. They dont call back to inform you about the status of your application. Told me to come down Friday so i can put $2,500 down then sold vehicle same day to someone else. Tried to make me lie on application even though I make enough money to support payment. Unethical and totally untrustworthy! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

They let me buy car insurance from them but in three months later they told me DMV could not find out my car insurance and they let me go to DMV website to pay by myself. After that, I cannot get the title from them so far. Now it is in January 2017. Half of year passed...

They pretend to be honest people but they actually rip you off. High interest rates. Make sure to double check that all doors on car are locking and opening properly and everything else is in good condition. It took them twenty nine days to pay off my trade in car. Please go somewhere else to buy your car.
