*** Zawadi deserves a raise! A+++ Service!!! *** My experience started out pretty sour today. I came at open since I wanted to return a dress for a different size. The computer showed over 300 of this product in stock when I only saw 20 or so on the floor. I went to 3 people and received no help in finding the backstock of product. I literally searched the floor for the product number myself, assisting the stocker who was on the floor - who the merchandise pickup man told me to go talk to. She was no help just kept telling me to give my phone number so she can ask her manager if it is in stock. She said everyone was on lunch and she didnt know when they would be back and nobody wants to help her. I then asked Zawadi for help and he took it upon himself to find what I was looking for even though he looked quite busy already. He went above and beyond to help me and successfully found the 3 boxes of backstock within 10 minutes of looking while the stocker lady in the red hoodie wandered for 15 minutes just telling me she didnt know where they would be. I hope Zawadi becomes a manager if he isnt already because his customer service actually showed he was concerned with finding what I was looking for since it was obviously in the building according to the stock in the computer. He found a simple solution to a simple problem. More people need to be like him and realize that a bad experience can spread easier than a good experience these days and the customer service is what makes or breaks a customer coming back or not. More people need to be like him and instead of giving excuses, find a solution to the problem even if that isnt your exact job. Customers are the job regardless of title and without customers you wont have that job any longer. It is pretty inconvenient for someone to ask if they can call you back after people are off lunch so that you can return and get what you are looking for now, especially when you know its somewhere in the building. With this location already having a disasterous parking lot, it is not a place I like to frequent let alone visit more than once in a single day. Help people in front of you, do what you can now, dont tell them you will deal with their problem later. Thank you Zawadi for ending this trip on a good note and not as an irritating one as it had started off.

This is the worst Costco I have ever been to and I have shopped dozens of Costcos in 4 states. Unfortunately since moving to south SJ it is the closest. The main problem beside the lack of parking, it is a smaller size store which leads to many problems... 1. Selection is limited - Many items common to other stores are simply not carried there i.e. Bottled spring water 2. The place is a zoo. The entrance is always congested by people buying cheap hot dogs and pizza at the outdoor food court. 3. Inside it is just as claustrophobic you will spend 1/3 of your time waiting for other shoppers to just move. You will certainly notice the major bottleneck in this store... it is at the produce and dairy coolers. You can spend as much as 3-5 minutes just trying to get past this point. Not sure why they insist on jamming the mess at this corner with a sample station. Also unsure why they dont remedy this problem by moving the bulk produce back a few feet. 4. A lot of subpar perishables. Bought smelly chicken breasts and moldy broccoli on last trip. 5. Returns are Awful here! The return desk is always backed-up and it trails into the exit so they instruct shoppers with returns to form the rest of the line opposite side of the desk- essentially adding a 3rd line (which does not move) to get your receipt checked and out the door. Summary: This store is a ClusterF**K. A far better location to shop at is the Coleman store near SJC. Always well stocked with all the inventory you expect and even at peak times you wont feel like corralled cattle.

Parking is a big challenge some time you have to spend a lot of time to find place to park. After spend one hour shopping left my shopping cart in the main aisle to go get some flowers came back my cart is gone talk to manger she said since you had some perishable food in my cart we had to take it away because the food will go bad , however we know most of the items was in your cart you wait will go bring it back for you wait for 20 minutes they brought a cart with 80% of the items wrong didnt want to wait any longer I asked them have the main manger call me didnt receive any call and I called 2 times left message no response. Other time there was some water on the floor on fruit aisle call the main line to let them know it took them over 15 minutes to respond and I had parked my shopping cart over the area so no one could walk over it and get injured , Finally yesterday 07/29/17 as I was leaving the store when they were checking my items cashier has forgotten to ring up some items and was asked to go back since didnt want to to spend more time I asked them to take the items out of my cart. I have been going to Almaden Costco for years how ever for last few mounts not happy with the store and I am no longer going to this location. I gave one star rating for this location and that star was for pharmacy and the staff , always did have good experience with pharmacy.

I just called the Tire Center a few minutes ago to check on if I could get some tires put on my vehicle and to schedule an appointment. The first guy who answered was confused and did not know what I was asking for (I said "I would like to schedule an appointment or know when I could drop my car off") the tire dept then redirected my call to the tire office I believe. After apx 10min of me letting the phone ring a disgruntled worked picked up in a rude tone (I must of interrupted his lunch) he rudely stated they do not take appointments, which is fine but then proceded to tell me I had to be on Costco property when my car is being worked on. This is either a lie or a horrible policy which needs to be fixed. It does not make sense for a working individual to take off work to come to a "first come first serve" location and hangout until the tire service is completed. All in all rude personell in the tire dept and either misleading employees or bad local policy. They lost my business

Access to this Costco is easy from 85. Parking is a pain with so many other stores in the same place, but its best to shop here before 4pm when it is less crowded both outside as well as inside. Services at Eye care is average, you really need to keep asking for more information on the glasses you need to buy, otherwise you might end up buying which might be wrong or really not suitable to you. Right way to buy here. 1.Choose frames first.(Various sizes/styles available). 2.Once you have decided on the frames then only approach the sales person to choose lenses. They carry plastic (cheapest) carbonate and Hi def (about 160$). 3.Have related health insurance IDs with you. 4.VSP treats costco as out of network provider hence it might be expensive to use that here. I was given this info today by them (August 23). Thanks.
