at 5:30 pm today I realized the special order part bought at Winchester Auto was incorrect. I needed the car fixed by 9 pm. I called every major auto part store in San Jose. No one had the axle in stock. When I finally called Carquest in Meridian the attendant, Andy, took the time to verify his inventory and called me back 5 minutes later to tell me he had it in stock. The problem the store closes at 6pm, and I was in East San Jose, no way I could make it on time. I explained him the importance of getting the part today and he said "come over, I have other things to do before going home, you will find me here". I arrived at 6:25pm, the part was exactly what I needed, and the price even lower of what I had paid on the other store. Thanks to Andy I could make it on time. I think he is an exceptional sales person. Not only he knows his job but he got a terrific customer oriented attitude.

These folks have repeatedly been personable, professional, courteous, and ridiculously knowledgeable for a parts store. (Normally my experience with places like Kragen has been a lot of half-lidded blank stares in response to average-difficulty questions, and wrong parts that I have to prove to the person behind the counter are wrong before I can begin the hassle over returning the parts and finding the right ones.) This is such a small, tucked away location, and a lesser-known retail name, that I was surprised the first time they told me exactly what I needed, helped me install the part, and educated me along the way, within about ten minutes of walking in the door. It takes no time to see youre dealing with real pros, not the ignorant, inattentive retail staff weve come to expect from larger chains.

Seems to be a great place for Auto parts... Got and alternator from them for a great deal . Was able to return my OLD alternator core after purchasing the new one and got almost 40$ for the refund. but i must say the lack of enthusiasm to help customers /to work period- is a bit of a drag ..
