Carmel Blue is a true gem to this city; by far one of the best resources you should take advantage of as an expecting, new parent, or second timer!!! My first time in I was amazed by all the products and variety that they sell in store. Sharone (the owner) really focuses on organic products and truly innovative products as well. She also gives great suggestions and knows all the ins an outs of her products. I had such a great experience, definitely different than when I went to Giggle where they have all the mainstream products. I was really impressed by the classes that Carmel Blue offers, they literally have just about everything which is great, and super helpful. The ‘Childbirth Preparation’ class was a life savor! So much valuable information and it was a great class because it wasn’t overcrowded and you could ask all the questions you wanted. It felt very welcoming and like a safe environment. I went to the one-day class because it worked best for my schedule, however they do offer a two-day and evening series. We took some other classes like the ‘Newborn Care’ and ‘Infant CPR/ Response’ classes, which I highly recommend. Another thing that I really appreciate about Carmel Blue is that you don’t have to have a membership like at Day One (they have different prices for members and non-members). Carmel Blue is a must for bay area parents!

I cant say enough amazing things about Carmel Blue. We took CPR, Baby Sign Language and Babys First Food classes here. I really wish I had taken the Childbirth Prep class here because the one I did go to at CPMC was worthless. In addition to the phenomenal classes the owner Sharone has meet up groups for expectant and new moms. This was invaluable those first few weeks I was home. Their product line assortment is impressive considering the small space. Everyone there is super helpful and the knowledge base is great too. Sharone spent a lot of time working with myself and my husband to find the perfect baby carrier for us (we got the Becco). Other favorite items that they carry are Zutano booties (the only shoe that will stay on thanks to snaps) and eclectic board books including Yiddish language learning and the ABCs of being a foodie. This is hands down my favorite baby store, check them out.

This is so much more than a store. This is a community. This is support. This place has so much love in it and the store owner, Sharone, is so passionate about the mothers well being and their babies. The products in her store are wonderful for all the stages of baby development and milestones they grow through. I found them reasonably priced compared to other stores in the city. The support group I attend is free and its the highlight of my week. Its so nice to connect with other moms in the area and support each other. If your are looking for anything baby related, go here!! :) You wont be disappointed.

I just took the Child Birthing Class with Kelly and LOVED it! I have already started recommending it to friends. My husband and I both felt we got a ton out of it, way more than you can in books or movies. I have also registered us for the Infant Care class. Im am looking forward to it based on my experience with the first class. BTW they have a lot of really cute baby stuff in their boutique. I will definitely be heading back to shop after my baby shower.

Im so thankful Sharone opened this wonderful shop in my neighborhood! I appreciate how responsible and thoughtful her products and merchandise are and how much pride she takes in supplying things that are designed by local moms. Carmel Blue is an indispensable resource for new and repeat and expecting parents.

Carmel Blue has a great and unique selection of items for babys and new parents. Their staff is very helpful and they have tons of nice classes, sing-a-longs, and other events in their space up stairs. If you have (or will have) a baby, its a great place to check out.
