This is my favorite store. Im there Saturday killing time while my wife buys for the up coming cruise. I get a cup of coffee near the front door at the little coffee shop called eBar which is part of Nordstrom. They I relax at one of the little tables just outside on the mall. Best part is the people watching. I love San Diego. The I go in to check out some of the mens things. Piano music is playing. As I get off the escalator on the second floor the piano appears along with the guy playing the music; I know - nice place with there on entertainment while you shop. I walk ahead and through the more formal part of the mens departments (tux, suit, etc.) and take the stairs to the casual section. After looking around I find a chair by the entrance to the cafe. A lovely Nordstrom associate asks me if she can help me find anything. "My wife, but I think she will show up eventually anyway." She laughs and tells me how nice it is to accompany my wife. (Here is where I tell you again how much I like Nordstroms!) The chair is very comfortable and has a little table for the coffee. After ten minutes of looking in wonder at this really cool place I stroll back down towards the coffee shop and past the womens shoes. A live model is there to greet everyone. She adds that little something special, Nordstrom special. I return to the patio area and wait. Mostly that is my job when shopping with my wife. Mostly. I also give compliments at what she has purchased and I carry things back to the car. All good by the way. It is my thing after all!

Store set up is nice and very diverse; However, the limited mens department seemed a little messy to me, just how messy the worker was here! There employee around here reflecting his frustrations towards his customers. I remember that his name was BEN, and this gentlemen strolls around the mens department like a forgotten soul almost anytime the store is open (literally a Sourpatch!). He lacks to provide customer service, and has an attitude bigger than the reality show stars that shop, which is pretty interesting for someone working close to minimum wage. Anyways, minimum wage, or maximum wage- you should always be friendly and caring about the customers and definitely not bring your home problems along with you (even customer dont treat people like that!). Nordstrom, please recruit your stores with friendly employees that care about the customers, and provide a WOW - service. Nordstrom has some nice merchandise, but coming back here is a definite NO NO, and this is all due to the life-hating workers, especially BEN, as described At this point, I would get 10x better service at a Target!!

Ben, the full timer in the very most forgotten corner of the store sold me mens cosmetic product that I bough a couple weeks ago from him. Yesterday I went back with the receipt and the product more than half full looking for a refund. I simply wasnt happy with the result and was looking for an exchange. After I noticed his attitude and his comments that the product is OLD, and even with a receipt that I need an ID? I respect the protocols, but just communicate a little more mature towards customers. Ben was literally a piece of work: SOO AGRESSIVE, and NOT ACCOMODATING. It is actually a shame that Nordstrom hires people like him, because he literally doesnt know how to work with customers and the retail industry. He was making my return very though due to protocols. --- TERRIBLE SERVICE --- AGGRESSIVE & INTIMIDATING ATTITUDE --- NOT EFFICIENT (TAKES HOURS) --- RUDE COMMENTS I would advise Nordstrom to get rid of such employees. They belong in the stocking room, warehouse or just outside this entire company. SUCH A SHAME NORDSTROM!

The selection in the Salon Shoes section in the Fashion Valley Nordstrom is OUTSTANDING and the service is great! The associates provide great insight on the shoes and are up to date on the styles and always help me choose which shoe would be best for me. I have been coming to this Nordstrom for 18 years, and it still amazes me every time! They take great care of their customers and do whatever they can to satisfy their needs, refurbish used products, live up to their guarantee, and get people the exact products they want. There is only one place to shop and that is Nordstroms in Fashion Valley. The great service, they box up the item and get it ready to give. You pay a little more but believe me it is worth it. Every department gives great service and you find that it is the only place for Infant, childrens clothles and shoes, mens apparel, Junior and Women and Ex sizes as well. I have never been disappointed at Nordstrom and it is truly my favorite store !!!!! Try it once and you will be hooked. Quality items, great service and you know your recipient will love it.

I called 3 Nordstoms stores to find a pair of boots that went on sale.They were sold out on the internet. After calling Nordstorms Fashion Valley I got a great sales person that said she would try to find them for me and another pair for my friend. She found me both pairs of the boots called me back and they are shipping to my home. Amazing and so helpful. Thank you Glow, my sales person!!!!

Swung in today to pick up a couple of Mens accessories, as my fashion needs were attended by Shawn (SA), who gave me excellent customer service and was extremely professional. Great vibe in the store and vast selection to choose from. If you happen to be in Mens Furnishings, go see Shawn! Grrrrrreat experience!

Was at the Chanel counter today. Belen helped me pick out a foundation. She was great. While I was being color matched I could hear the other three associated complaining about another customer. One said "...she wasnt even that famous." This went on for prob about 20 min. So, so , so unprofessional...

I always go to Nordstrom if I am looking for business casual stuff at reasonable prices. Nordstroms is not cheap, but it is not ridiculously expensive and they always have what I am looking for. The staff is very friendly and is always happy to help you look for things you want.

High quality shopping experience. Store is clean, has a practical and appealing layout, and there are lots of helpful employees available. Expensive designer racks are prominently displayed, but if you look in the back, there are plenty of more affordable options.

Tip for the ones who want to sit and drink a coffee or tea in a convenient and relaxing environment: There is a cafe on the top floor of this Nordstrom. The quality beats the Starbucks and prices are even cheaper than the kiosk on the ground floor of the mall.

I love the clothes here and the associates are very helpful and friendly. I just hate how the juniors section is all the way on the 3rd floor... the Nordstrom in North County its literally on the 1st floor which is how it should be

This store has a great selection and the staff is very helpful even when youre returning items (Unlike Macys) which frown big league about returns to no end. This particular Nordstroms is high class!
