I reached windows capacity to handle my ability to compute rather quickly, i switched to linux on systems originally designed for windows and was quite happy with the unix based OSs ability and expandability. I went down that road quite a distance and eventually figured id give mac a test. I contacted these guys late at night thinking i would get an answering machine. But someone picked up and asked me what they could do for me. They opened up their store that night for me, answered all my questions and sold me a solid powerbook for a fair price. Later on several months later they took it in on trade for a chunk of change (understand they have a business to run and you probably wont find another business that would give you more for a trade-in) and i purchased a much nicer macbook for a really good price! Also i told them i would have to go home (1hr away) to back up my files, they said not to worry about it just bring it in and they would do the file transfer for me gratis. Upon my next upgrade whenever that may be, i will return to these guys and hope you will too! They are willing to answer any questions and help you either over the phone or in person. Highly recommended and techie approved. Just for info they have windows crap for sale too but my advice is you should invest in a solid computer with a unix based OS! Update: after 5 years of random personal business with these guys I havent found a comparable business that can compete with these guys integrity, expediency, professionalism, KNOWLEDGE, and overall customer satisfaction than these guys provide on a daily basis. Since my first purchase back in ~2009-2010 both my parents, three of my closest of friends, ~10-15 coworkers and my entire church facility has been nothing but completely satisfied with DC Computers. You CANNOT go wrong with these guys. I havent been in to see them in the last year or so (latest visit to say hi) because everything is still running great after several years since last major personal purchase. My point is, these guys work hard to ensure youre happy and fully equipped for your needs. ( nothing more/unneeded) That is all for now, have a good one!

I bought my Macbook from DC Computers in Sept 09. I responded to an add that I found on Craigslist. Since I do a lot of web browsing I knew I wanted to buy a Macbook but didnt want to pay full price. So when I found them on CL I went to their shop. I did a little more research at the Mac Store, when I asked the guys what kind of warranty they could give if any, they replied, "its pretty much the same as apple care at no extra cost." Im not sure how much the extended care is but I think its a couple hundred bucks through Apple. So I was already saving, not to mention the price of their refurbished macbook is lower than the Apple price as well. So I put their warranty to the test a few days ago. I had been having problems picking up wifi signals on my airport and finally had to give them a call. They replied promptly and told me to bring my Macbook in and they would take a look, diagnose and swap out the aiport card if necessary. A day and a half later I now get signals at full strength in places where I would sometimes not pick up a signal at all and my Macbook is fully functioning again. Not only are these guys knowledgeable they also do not pressure you to purchase from them. They want you to shop around and decide for yourself. For all you bargain hunters out there DC Computers is the way to go. Excellent customer service and very reasonable pricing.

how can i prove the title is true? Just walk in the store. Most reputable used laptop stores upgrade all their 4 year old machines with bigger hardrives/rams so that they can keep up with the current line. Not this place. Theyll sell you pretty much the same laptop as it was when it was shipped (five years ago) and theyll charge you what you pay for a used low-mid range current line laptop on ebay. They justify the higher price for crappier laptop due to their warranty/computer repair know how. LOL. Just buy user friendly laptops, ones that easy to upgrade. User accessible ram/hd/keyboard/disc drive. If you cant fix your own laptop by up grading those four things, the laptop is not worth using. They just clean up/restore laptops they find on flea markets/yard sales/estate sales/store return palets/craigslist, and sell them for twice what youll pay directly from a owner/user. Yes. ebay makes more sense or simply learn a little about restoring/checking laptops yourself (not hard), and buy directly from the owner on any local classified. If you learn how to check the laptops, youll never be stuck with a broken one. It makes sense to hold on to more of your money in these times. cut the middle man out. do what these guys do, buy directly from owners cheaply. Only pay top dollar for a new current line laptop.

I had a few issues with my gaming rig and took it in to get looked at a few weeks ago. I dropped off my computer acting foolishly like I had no idea what was wrong with it. I needed a little bit more help when it comes to certain things with my custom built rig. I came back the next day thinking they called me in to bring my monitor since my BIOS would not come up? When I brought in the monitor, guy at the front counter said it would be looked at by Monday? I simply repeated myself letting him know that I was picking up my computer and wanted to see what was wrong with it. As soon as I gave him the specs. He mumbled a bit and I could tell he was trying to blow me off at first. Started throwing numbers at me $1,500-$1,900 for a new build that I didnt want? I asked him what type of upgrades would be possible?? Younger guy working in the back on the computers was very nice and knowledgeable when I asked about CPU and motherboards. I walked out of DC Computers more disappointed than when I brought it in. I understand he has a service to provide, but not like that. Needs better customer service.

My out of warranty Mac Book fell of a couch last week and cracked the LCD screen it wasnt so bad that the computer stopped working but other places quoted pretty high, and wouldnt give me an idea unless I came down and showed them the damage first. I called DC and they gave me an estimate based on the info and then I brought it in, they checked it in and told me to be back at 4, it was that easy. When I got back they were ready and it looked brand new! But the best part is when used it when I got home, it seems to be working better because all the components seem to be tightened or snapped back together tighter than when Apple fixed it last year for the cracked bezel! IN FACT....they even cleaned it for me (which I normally do myself but hadnt this time because I rushed in so fast) I am in love with these guys cause this was so stressful for me but they really were nice and the outcome was awesome! recommend recommend ...and very happy!

Ive had a 06 macbook and up until recently it was working kinda slow. I knew someday I was going to need to invest in a more newer mac. So I decided to check out DC Computers to see if they could help me out. Daniel did a on the spot diagnostic test and let me know that trying to fix/upgrade my current mac would not be the best route to go with and eventually I would be spending more $$$ trying to always upgrade it. So I after looking at about 3 different macs with various price levels, made the decision. Got a MacBook Pro for a lot less then a new one!! Daniel hooked it up with a great price and threw in Adobe Suite. Since my purchase Ive had no issues with my Mac. Amazing service and experience! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to fix or in my case, buy a mac.
