This store is truly amazingly bad in a multitude of ways. I went to purchase a basic car stereo this past week. I chose a $100 model, agreed to pay their inflated installation price of $50, and made an appointment for the next day at 2:00. When I got there at 2:10 that day, the installation technician was out to lunch, but I was told he would be back in a few minutes. At 3:00, he showed up with a huge bag of sushi, accompanied by a friend who was just hanging out with him. I pulled my car around to the garage and waited for them to open the door. They looked at me through the glass and told me to come around to the in-store entrance. My wife had to work at the hospital at 5pm, so I asked how long the install would take. I figured about 30 minutes, since the mounting kit was already installed, and all he would have to do would be to switch out the decks. Ive done it myself in about an hour, but I no longer have the tools. He quoted me 90 minutes to two hours. I challenged him on his estimation, and he stayed firm. I decided to take my business elsewhere and got my 160 dollars back, with a total of 2 hours wasted. The manager told me that if I made another appointment, she would assign me to a "more professional" installer. Now, it is possible that I just ran into a poor installer as a fluke, but I realize now that there is a fundamental flaw in the Best Buy "Road Shop." They have such low volume, they hire local guys to work once a week who have nothing vested in the company. Further, being such a huge organization, its easy to do a half-a**ed effort and slip through the cracks of management oversight. I have put up with Best Buys high prices, poor return policy, poor service long enough. I thought it would be nice to get service in a nationally recognized, nearby establishment, but clearly Best Buy is not the place, particularly for car stereo installation.

Experienced terrible customer service at this Best Buy location. Derek (Derrick?) in particular was not helpful at all and a bit rude as well. I had a couple coupons that I brought in to use for a purchase and had done extensive research in advance and had confirmed with Best Buy corporate that they could be used together. Derek refused and told me he didnt care what I had been told. I even showed him their website, which clearly showed they could be used together. He straight up said "I dont care, Im not doing it." So much for the customer always being right. He wouldnt even as much lift a finger or try to figure out with corporate or a store manager etc if I was right, which I was. I spent an hour or so there trying to get them to take care of me to no avail. So, I left the store and then reached out to BB corporate. They confirmed that I was right and that Derek was wrong. They informed the store leadership at Arden BB about their error. I eventually went back in and they fixed it after another long wait trying to figure things out. Got what I should have in the first place but had to waste hours of my time in the process. Maybe next time Derek should actually do his job and find out the information he obviously didnt know and assist Best Buys customers. Hopefully he learned a lesson that at least sometimes the customer is right, especially when theyre showing you Best Buys official policy on their website.

For being used to online shopping, it felt like a hassle to come in here just for some thermal paste. I only came because I had a gift card that I needed to use. The store layout was really odd. My friend and I barely stumbled upon the computer parts section of the store. It was a single shelf between the TVs and printers. As if selection wasnt bad enough, they were severely understocked. I had to buy an alternate brand of thermal paste because the other two more known brands were gone. Aside from that, there were way too many sales people here!! It felt like playing Zelda, trying to avoid the guards from seeing you. As soon you stop to look at something, they hop on you. Come on, give us some space. If we need something, well ask. Otherwise, though, I suppose it wasnt awful. We were at least able to get what we needed and get out in under fifteen minutes. With all the salespeople keeping everyone else occupied, there was hardly a line. However, I dont think Ill come back. Even though I have at least $15 left on the gift card, Id rather drive up to Frys and spend my own money there. Not to mention, Frys is quite a bit cheaper, with much more selection.

Not an excellent place to get your electronic goods. Its difficult to find someone thats willing to help, for some reason. Even though most best buy stores will stalk you like prowling tigers to go out of their way to help! Their prices suck. Games are always overpriced even though theyve been out for years: At best buy its 29.99, and at game stop its 7.99? Does not compute. ): I went to check on a game today, as well. It was Dark Souls Collectors Edition. I asked a woman at the counter if they had any in. She refused to check, and said the game didnt exist simply because the company wouldnt allow them to pre-order the collectors edition. I kindly informed her Id seen it at Gamestop about 20 minutes ago. Seeming on the verge of tantrum, she said "NO, it doesnt exist!". Fantastic customer service. Id say shop elsewhere and dont waste your valuable time, unless you like dealing with toddlers. If so, then go for it. :)

I bought a Verizon phone in July and opened service with new lines of service. I brought back the phones within the two week period as instructed. They made me go back to Arden to do this as they said I was not allowed to bring it to another store. So I drove there and waited in their line. I turned it in and got my receipt. Best Buy never told Verizon that I returned the phone so Verizon keeps charging me. My bill is over $1100 now. I have gone in, spoken to the Verizon rep stationed at Best Buy, explained the situation. Everyone can see that I brought the phone back but no one will tell Verizon. Verizon states they try to call them and say they will get back to me. They probably are unable to get through just like me. I have now been on the phone waiting for over 15 minutes while the phone keeps ringing. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. My next stop is to call Curtis and get the TV folks out there.

I called in to purchase an open box special on a washing machine. I waited 20 minutes on hold before talking to someone about it. When I finally talked to someone, they verified the washer was still in stock and for sale. I had my credit card in hand and ready to purchase it over the phone, but she said she couldnt process my order and that no one was available to process my order. She took down my information and said an associate would contact me to process my order as soon as one was available. No one ever called me back. I called back the next day, and the washer was sold. I talked to the supervisor or manager or whatever and he said they cant make a comparable discount, and basically that I was SOL. Completely wasted over an hour of my time... worst shopping experience of my life.
