Possibly my worst experience buying anything. Im 14 and I just bought a $300 speaker (UE Megaboom) I ordered online to pickup in store. WORST IDEA EVER. In order to pick it up you need the card used to buy it (yes i have my debit card with me), the order number on the email (yes i have my iPhone with me), and a state issued ID (yes just like every other 14 year old consumer I carry my passport with me AT ALL TIMES). Ok so I was heading there about 30 minutes till clothing so I didnt have time to go home and pick up my passport. So far its my fault, I understand that. Before I came in a called to ask if it was absolutely necessary and to check if there was any was to overlook it. First time I called i was with a robot for 5 minutes then someone picked up, picked up but didnt talk, no greeting, no "please wait for a moment", I just heard the background noise of employees taking to each other. I was patient, I waited because maybe they were just busy. After 5 minutes of me listening to them THEY JUST HANG UP. So I called again... This time just 16 minutes of listening to robot sounds of ringing so I hung up. I decided to try my luck and just go there anyway. Walked in to the pickup center, told them my name and order number and school ID. As expected, nope we cant give you this order without a state issued ID. So I went to plan B, talk to the manager and ask for an override. (I know for a fact that they can override). I showed 4 things with my name on it, my Chase debit card, my Target RedCard, and my school ID, and Best Buy even has in their system my profile with all of my information (Name, address, phone number, email etc...). At this point he restates everything the lady I talked to earlier said. "Its our policy, I cant do anything". Alright at this point I was losing it. Did they really think I was some crook? Then my friends mom walks in, talks to the lady that "helped" me earlier, same response. Now she asks for the manager. Same manager came back, my friends mom said the same thing I did. "Look he has plenty of identification, theres no doubt its not him." He responds the same thing, a bit nicer this time because hes dealing with an adult. So she pushed harder and asked to see that policy in writing. At this point I asked "is there anyway you can override this?" Now he says yes. Ok. Ok. You now think Im really me. At this point if your still reading I apologise for this being so long. If you are not an adult you will not be treated the same. Even if you come in wearing $200 Ray-Bans and a $600 Apple Watch. You can probably tell Im not happy about this visit.

the only reason its one star is there is no option for NEGATIVE 50 stars. location is nothing but slick, con-artist, false promises - no delivery scammers. they will say ANYTHING to sell, once you have problems w your defective electronics. manager RICH, assis manager CHAD will laugh at you and give you the run-around worse than your nightmares. they play games, say one is "in a meeting" while hes standing in the aisle flirting w customers for sales, then make you wait 1 hr, then switch and say the other is on lunch break ! hoping to exhaust you that you will just give up. their customer desk "geraldine" is a con-artist, they instructed her well how to swing that game - to give customers refurbished / defective garbage at full price & expect you to say nothing. whether you spend $10-10,000, expect to never see that money again. it is BestBuy culture to swindle and deceive ppl by any scam they can, once they get your $$$, its "disappear time!" never have anyone told me of experiences otherwise, even strangers swore that theyd never do business with these professional dirty salesmen. if you think you chose a physical store instead of some online virtual store. in the end you are screwed far worse by BESTBUY because they treat customers like a joke sending them to different store locations when online stores compete harder for your biz since they cannot sell in person. bestbuy set out to do you dirty - if thats what u want, go there ! btw: if you do any price comparison - even their prices are bogus inflated rip-offs. many people dont go through the trouble of comparison ! you will end up suing them later for damages defective products and refusal to refund your $$$, bestbuy pays employees friends and family to post false positive reviews - damage control?

OK so I have purchased 2 Canon camera from here and 3 cell phones. For the most part the employees seem to be helpful..4.5 stars. My complaint is there warranty department. I purchased a extended warranty on my 1st. Camara. I went on vacation in a very humid country and found there was a spot on my photos. I took the camera in for repair....2 weeks later I picked it up and found a finger print right in the center of the lens!!! Are you kidding me!!!! I showed it to the service department. He apologized and assured me the Camara was repaired...well after taking it home guess what?, you guessed it not fixed. I took it back 2 more times and had the same results..as it turns out they are not!!!! Certified to repair Canon cameras. After I threatened them to give me my money back for the Camara and the insurance policy I purchased from them they sent it out to a certified canon repair shop..(it needed a new c mos which cost more than the camera itself to repair.) They had it repaired, I got my camera and it walked away. Buyer be ware...just because they sell you a warranty doesnt mean they know how to repair it or are certified to do so.

So Best Buy is cool. When I say that I mean they accept returns and price match and give free gifts with certain purchases. Thats awesome. However if you want to purchase something from Best Buy youre definitely better off going to another one. This one does everything not to price match and they are rude here. Especially the manager " not sure his name" he is dark skinned and works during the day usually. If I had to guess 9 to 5. I have seen him roll his eyes when the customer is not looking and blows everything off. If you ask for him he will listen and give a smart a** reply then say " Okay sure here BLAH will helo you" then he goes ghost and lets an employee handle you " Or the team leader" so that there is a barrier between you and him for him to indirectly say no. Yes you will get the " Let me ask" treatment. I have been through hell with this place " not due to my fault" and I had WAY better customer service at MILPITAS Best Buy. Stay away, go to another store.

Worst customer service ever. I want to exchange my recent bought MacBook Pro to a higher config model. When I came, there was no one waiting at the return counter, so they started my exchange process. The guy from geek squad helped me get the new MBP I want, and then leave me alone at the counter, saying their people will help me soon. I was waiting on the counter for at least half an hour. No one help me. My wife and my 4 months old son were with me. And my son became fussy after such a long wait. So I asked the guy at the neighbor counter who is helping another customer, that do they have more people to help on return/exchange. The guy was just bitchy, did not even bother look at me and did not even answer my question. So I have to keep waiting. Later on he could not resolve the other customers issue and get another Best Buy people to help on. Just ignore me and my little unhappy boy. I angry grabbed my MBP and left the store. Will never come back here again.
