As of yesterday 1/1/ 2017 I have been keeping a saltwater aquarium and in the reef hobby for approximately five years. I received a couple of gift cards from family members over the holiday weekend and decided to go to Petco and spend my gift cards on a smaller nano reef tank I have been working on. I after the cycle period passed I added a shrimp and a damsel fish to see of everything was ready and they were both living happily for 2 additional weeks before I added fish from petco. All my water primaries are perfect as well as the salinity with no signs of any ick or bacteria or Alvie out breaks. I purchased a bandage shrimp as well as a diamond goby and a clown fish, for my tank and they didnt even last 7 hours ! (60$ later ) I called and I asked the lady I spoke with, she stated to me that there is nothing they can do and its a complete and total loss sorry about that. I mean I realize that the fish they get are sometimes bad orders but wow not even 7 hours and they were completely relectlant to help. I will no longer go to pet co and spend the gift cards. If you want fish go to an actual fish store dont take a shortcut because in the end its going to be a waste of your money and they do not offer any type of a back up on anything I myself learned the hard way. To wear other fish stores will offer some sort of a discount or a group deal on your next purchase. I realize that nothing in this hobby is perfect but really literally seven hours and they were both dead after I complete a total acclamation and a full perimeter check on all of my water levels. In conclusion I was extremely unsatisfied with the customer service I received and the helper on the other and not willing to even hear my story out and shutting me out before I even get to finish what I was saying I will no longer be a customer here please learn from my mistake .

I went there to buy a 55gal tank and about $100 worth of gravel and my two year old accidentally dropped a plastic sale sign off a table (and no it did not break ) I was in the process of putting it back on the table when one of the employees started yelling at my son . Telling me ""you need to corral your child"" like he was some sort of animal. There was no need for her to say anything it was a accident and I picked the sign up seconds after it fell. I left and didnt buy anything which is pretty sad because I am a weekly customer and I spend a lot of money there.

was given a chameleon for xmas from petco 4 days later he got real sick then i decided to return him for their guarantee so that they can take him to the vet and give him proper treatment well their "return policy" is a joke i had to fully return my pet and buy him back when he was healthy today i bought back my chameleon and they informed me they never took him to the vet i was so furious and upset how they dont care for their animals just another dollar sign to them. never ever buy live animals from them any petstore chain.

Its a good store in a great location. Unfortunately like all pet store chains the employees know almost nothing about the fish they keep. Never listen to any pet store employee, always do your research. The Bettas they keep they dont take care of, a few of their other fish are wrongly labeled.. prices are a little high on some things but quite a bit of it you cant buy elsewhere. I shop here often when I do have the money.. like the $1 per gallon aquariums, how awesome is that??

I took my Dog for grooming in Petco. I told them how i wanted his hair cut. Not to used the machine , Only scissors. They told me it will take 4 hours,,, I call them and ask if my Jerky Dog was done with his hair cut. They said No.. It took more than 4 hours. and when i arrive . They cut his hole hair with the Hair machine trimmer. I was so upset.. If you Love your Pet as much i love my Dog, Dont Take your Pet to Petco.... My dog , he is more than that my dog. Hes Family.

Horrible experience at the grooming salon. Terrible costumer service. Said my dog tried to attack her. I have a small dog (chihuahua/dachshund mix) who is not known to be aggressive and has been groomed there before with no issue. We watched as they tried to take the dog out, he whimpered and she said he tried to bite. She was disrespectful and rude throughout the entire process. Will not take my dog their again. These people do not care about animals or their customers.

Customer service is non-existent. After waiting 20 minutes for a store associate to help me get a doghouse off the upper shelves, I got the ladder and got it down myself. A snide employee said "just ask the next time." I told her that I asked four times and no one came. She just walked away. Nutro is frequently out of stock. The only reason I go here is that the other alternative is PetSmart - which is worse. I cant wait for an alternative.

I hated this place. Anytime I call Im on hold for 20 minutes or longer but I usually hang up after 20 minutes. Its so hard to find any help in the store and they make you wait for ever also. Terrible customer service. And they judge you if you want to do something they dont personally agree with..like buying feeder fish

Petsmart in San Bernardino, off Hospitality is far more superior! With more brands, and much more to choose from at Petsmart...this is where you need to go. Here at Petco you can never find anyone to answer questions. I only come here to look around when I go to Bevo and check out the Star Wars stuff.

They are really friendly and do a nice job of getting our pup clean. They remembered that Baby (our doggie) doesnt like the dryer and even gave her a tooth treat to help her stinky dog breath. I think the people are really nice when we come in and drop off Baby and pick her up. Thanks, Pet co!

Been waiting here for 10 minutes while employee is helping someone else who hasnt even bought anything. Bad multitasking. Guy came buy when o was finally helped and said hed check online. No wonder all the physicals stores are closing. Next time Ill just have Amazon deliver my fish for free.

They were very rude when I was looking at the dogs being groomed they told me to leave, and I was just chilling laughing at the dogs. Why are you going to have a glass mirror to look at the dogs when your not even gonna let me look at them. How rude

It is alright, smells really bad and is dirty, Banning store is much nicer and cleaner, Redlands staff was nice but super busy so it was hard to get help, thats how we found the Banning store, wanted to check our their selection, so glad we did.
