Buy a car here but DO NOT buy anything offered in the close portion of the sale by the finance guy. None of his statements will be true. Just for the record, I am not a first time new car buyer. I have been through the process multiple times. For the car buying experience, it was what I would expect. The salesman was a good guy. Doing his job. What is his job? To sell you a car and get you to pay the most he can for it. He was trained in most of the tricks they use (which I recognized), and once I called him out on them he was a pretty genuine dude. Younger guy, I cannot remember his name though. I had a price in mind which he could not meet. So I left. If they let you walk, they absolutely cannot meet your price. But you should always walk, it lets them know that just because you want to buy a car, it is not going to be on their terms but yours. I called him back and we met again. We ended up buying the car for a fair price. I could have gotten it cheaper from a higher volume dealer but I would have had to drive to the east bay to get it which was not worth the time and effort. It was not the easiest and best experience (probably because I was demanding such a good deal) but it CERTAINLY was not the worst experience I have ever had. My advice. Have a REALISTIC price in mind and when you are ready to buy, tell them they have 20 minutes to seal a deal, if they cannot do it, then leave. One of their biggest tricks is to make the process as long and tedious as possible so you will just give in to the little crap to get the deal done and leave. After we agreed to a price, we went to the finance guy (a big baby huey type of guy). This guy is friendly and this is where the dealership will try to make more money off you. And this is where I got duped. I made the mistake of not requesting a claim he made in writing (a cardinal sin in buying a car and one I should have known better). DO NOT buy anything this guy offers. UNLESS you get all his promises in writing. The dupe was: prepaying for service. The sales pitch was, get this and you will have to pay for nothing but gas for 60K miles. Of course I knew this did not include tires and brake pads but we would receive a book in the mail that would have coupons for every service required by the factory warranty for 60K miles. What I got was a book that had coupons for free 5K services but only a discount on the major services required within the 60K mile window. Not only that but their normal 5K mile service includes a tire rotation but with the free coupon, it is not included. Oh and do not lose that coupon book. You lose it, you lose. That scam is why they are getting a low rating. Were it not for that they would have gotten three stars. I complained saying what I was told and was always told the same thing: "that is not the plan, do you have something in writing?" So, in conclusion, you could do worse than to buy a car from this place; be firm, threaten to walk and they will be fair and give you the best possible deal they can (most dealers will at that point). If you are local, they will break even on the car because they know they will make money off servicing that car. HOWEVER, do not buy anything they offer you in the closing portion of the sale. If I had a tape recorder during that session, I would be having a field day with the BBB. That is for sure.

My husband and I are a retired couple Hansel Honda has just become the single worst experience we have ever had. I made an all cash deal by Email for a specific 2015 Honda CRV EX-L year end model with one of their agents, Krystal Morgan. It was a good deal and it included all expenses. Including Destination charges and all in writing in their return response to me as a printed out "Cash Deal Structure" from them. After getting all this in writing we arranged with a friend to drive us the 200 miles to the dealership so that we could pick up the car. We got there and immediately are shown to "the back corner room". Whereupon the "sales manager" Jasmin Bajramovic with whom we had not spoken before, came in. He informed us "I cant sugar coat this", but this deal does not include the $895.00 destination charge". He blamed Krystal Morgan, the first sales agent with whom we had spoken for not getting this right. I told him we confirmed with all agents that we communicated with by Email and phone (Curt Miller and Shane Riveras) that the Destination fee was included and, we, in fact received a printed invoice from them showing it to be. I have the offer they made to me and it is presented as an out the door - due on delivery price that they now wanted $895.00 more for than is shown on that invoice. All of the agents with whom we had communicated had known exactly the conditions of this deal and there was no confusion. To wait until we arranged to drive the 200 miles to the dealership to inform us that they would not honor the deal they had struck is the single most dishonest and reprehensible thing that has ever happened to us. Of course I could not do any additional business with anyone capable of performing so dishonest and premeditated an act of deception so my wife an I left, now requiring our friend to also transport us the 200 miles back home. This is a classic example of "Bait and Switch where a dealer has represented a vehicle to us at a specific price and then has knowingly increased that price when we arrived to complete the transaction. Bait and Switch is fraud and we will have our attorney advise us regarding pursuing this legally as we have copies of all communications between us and the dealership which completely verify the above accounting of events. We have bought other vehicles in the course of my life, but Hansel Honda set a new bar so low I dont expect it to ever be exceeded. Essentially, they lied knowingly to me from the start and caused purposeful physical and financial hardship to my wife and I to arrange to come down there so they could "change" the deal. Do not give any business to Hansel Honda if you have any regard for integrity, they do not have any. We also received a call from Roger Wales, the sales manager who apologized.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a very nice gentleman in Hansels parts department yesterday. Ive been putting off for quite some time getting a splash guard(?), or a mud guard(?) for the underside of my car knowing that this problem is only likely going to get worse. Finally having had enough, I made the call yesterday & based on my interaction over the phone I felt comfortable enough to make the trek over to the dealership to have them look under my car and confirm that I was correct in my description of what I needed. The young lady at the parts counter was very pleasant and looked up the part that I presumed that I needed and offered to order it for me. I wasnt 100% ready to make the leap yet not knowing if Id be doing the right thing, but did point out that if this wasnt the right part that I expected to be able to return it. She confirmed that a return was doable BUT there is a 20% restocking fee (oops!). What happened to Customer Service? (Oh yeah, I didnt go to THAT counter) My car sits right outside in (like) the only parking space I could find, and youre telling me that someone cant take 2 minutes of their time to have a look? There was someone though (Jay? - I dont remember his name) that said theyd put it up on a rack and have a look (that offered a glimmer of hope). So I was directed to bring my car around to the side where someone would check it out. Not knowing exactly where to park while I waited I took the only place that was open - Express Service, and proceeded to wait... and wait some more. There was someone that passed by asking if Id been helped & I let her know that I was waiting for someone. That was the last interaction that I had with anyone. I decided after 10 minutes and no further interaction with anyone to not waste anymore of my precious time. I expect that there are probably any number of people that have had good experiences with car sales, but selling the car is the easy part - customer service for the maintenance would seem to be where this dealership is lacking, and why not...? Theyve already got what they wanted from me, $$$. Whatever - this place is a pretty big disappointment to me.
