Pacifica is home to several large chain grocery stores (safeway, grocery outlet), and a handful of smaller, independent ones. Oceana market is the best of the independant ones. It has a large selection of fruits and vegetable (both conventional and organic). It has a large selection of vitamins and supplements. Lots of good wines. And good specialty foods (a good ethnic section, good gluten free). They have a hot bar and a butcher. The have a small, specialty toy/gift shop inside. The staff is probably the most helpful staff in Pacifica. All in all, its a great spot. Lots of easy access parking. Some items are more expensive then Safeway, but often times its right in line or slightly cheaper.

This market is a strange place. It aspires to be similar to a Trader Joes in atmosphere and try to stock hippy gluten/gmo/bpa/whatever free items, but the selection of brands is limited and prices are high on most of the items for sale. There is also a very strange toy/gift section that takes up a good third of the store space, with plush toys and crafts and coloring books. Almost without fail, if I stop in here to buy something that I need quickly, they very rarely have the item I need, and also dont accept American Express. I do not recommend this market for daily shopping.

Pacifica at its best. Personal, personable, friendly, customer oriented. Every department tries really hard. Fabulous meats. Top rate. The deli has great offerings and hot foods (is sometimes hit or miss in honesty), always using good ingredients. Interesting gift items that surprise you! a toy store! great produce. in the food desert that is Pacifica, great thanks for Oceana Market.

Fancy, over priced. Quality: They have great top-notch foods here. Appeal: They also have the most expensive Kellogs cereal Ive ever seen. If you arent here for something hard to find... go to Safeway. Service: Friendly, there for you when you hit the registers.

Oceana Market has some of the best tasting sandwich. They are simple yet refreshing! They also offer a delicious salad bar options including daily hot food made fresh from their deli! Check it out next time for lunch and ask for dutch crunch :)
