This store is the only one in my neighborhood that has really great fresh vegetables, dairy goods, canned goods, freshly baked breads as well as unique gourmet items like hard to find cheeses and Spanish Chorizo. Like most health food stores it has a host of vitamins and homeopathic remedies. The groove here is great, multicultural tracks are playing overhead and the diverse staff is super friendly and helpful. While it is true the prices are fairly high, Valencia Whole Foods fits the bill when you are too tired to get out to a Safeway, you need that last minute specialty item or staple. You will never regret the quality of the items purchased here. BTW, Bi-Rite is even pricier! Having lived here for many years I cannot imagine how I would get by without this gem.

Bought a little bit of quinoa salad from the salad bar. The cashier tells me its $4.22. I only have $4 in cash and a credit card. Rather than giving out the $.22 he charged me $.60 so I could use my card (min $8). That (most small businesses would give out such a small amount), plus the expensive price overall, plus the expediting tone of the man - says it all to me!

The place very nice, products are over priced as in all whole food stores which is fine. Be careful of the turkish sales person, make sure he gives you brake down receipt and not only receipt with total amount on it. Another sales person american woman was very nice and honest other day when I shopped there.

Valencia Whole Foods is so expensive. More expensive than Whole Foods. But its also so incredibly convenient and I do appreciate their selection of cheeses, kombuchas, ice cream, and other organic options. They have a nice but very limited selection of produce, but no meat.

For a small convenience store, they carry a nice variety of products and organic produce. A little pricier than what you can find at your local Trader Joes or Whole Foods, but love that its so convenient. Plus they also carry my favorite Milkman almond coconut milk!

Hipster bodega in the mission. Nice selection for such a compact space, but watch your wallet (prices are high in unexpected ways). Also, check the date on perishables as they are lax in removing product thats past the sell by date.

I walked to this store this morning to get some breakfast and found it closed. I looked all over the place for the hours and found nothing. Very annoying! There is also nothing posted on the web that helps!!

Very very overpriced with a relatively poor selection. I am willing to pay for good ingredients, and shop at Bi-Rite frequently - but this place is no Bi-Rite and also manages to be much more expensive.

I live a block away from this store. i go there when i have emergency food needs. Today I bought six lemons, Orange Juice, honey, and bread. Total cost? $30. I must learn my lesson.

One of the cleanest stores in the area if youre willing to pay the premium. Lots of organic foods, whole coffee beans, and a nice salad bar.

Small stop for organic and fresh food. Salad bar, good bread selection, good yogurt and drink options.

Very overpriced, medium quality. For the same prices you can shop at Bi Rite which is fantastic.

Not a real Whole Foods (obviously) and feels like even more expensive.
