-great bagel and donut selection, especially if you buy in the morning when theyre extra fresh! -lines can be unbearably long during what I like to call rush hour (5pm on a weekday? avoid it) -this particular safeway location could expand its la croix selection, lafayettes is usually better -also youll have to ring a bell if you come at like 2am -good parking! -friendly staff

Tons of parking. Helpful staff, especially behind the meat counter. In-store Starbucks. Safeways store brands offer extraordinary value and reliable good quality -- O Organics, Open Nature, Eating Right, Lucerne, etc. Specialty Cheese selection is very limited and expensive, so plan on getting cheese from Diablo Foods or Trader Joes.

Only Safeway that cashier told me I needed a California ID to purchase wine/ alcohol. When I asked to speak to the manager to verify that information he declined and said never mind. He acted like he didnt want to check my groceries and barely watched me. I wont go back there!!

I am supposed to get "Just for you " prices and very often Im charged a higher price. I dont have time to go to customer service to get a refund each time I shop. I wish Safeway would get this feature fixed or stop using it. I much prefer Trader Joes but its out of my way.

The Safeway is beautiful inside! Great selection of grocery items. Downside, there is always a line of people at the register! There are 9 registers, and only two are manned on avg at any given time. All the staff are unfriendly at the register as well.

My go-to for normal grocery needs. They even have a nice mezcal in a green bottle that I buy from time to time. Staff is friendly if you are nice to them and not a stuck-up, snobby, self-important Moraga person :-)

They are open 24/7, which is great, and the store doesnt get crowded being in a small town. Lines can get a little long sometimes and I think they are a somewhat expensive (although all Safeways are).

Service could be a lot better and faster. Checkout is slow and on several occasions the cashier seemed more interested in chatting with people they knew than paying attention to the current customer.

Nice store. Fully stocked. Well organized. Reasonable pricing. Has a Mechanics Bank branch inside the store and a Glacier Water refill station outside the store. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
