I would have gave them a much better rate but unfortunately I took my brand new tank to 34 pet shop to get a glass piece installed inside my tank for a basking area for my turtles..I dropped the tank off and a $30 deposit ...I was contacted two days later by Kate saying that my brand new tank had a tiny chip on the corner of the tank. I asked her was it a big deal or would it cause future problems she told me, no I just called to let you know we didnt do it??? I said OK thanks.A couple days later I was called to pick up my tank, I took it home but didnt set it up until a week after I got because I didnt have the filter. I purchased the jebo 839 filter from the same pet store (I spend money with them on a daily basis prior to this) any way after I got my filter I set it up the same day. Around 2:30 am I woke up to a loud sound coming from my bose (speaker system) I went to see what it was and found that water was dripping from my tank. To make a longer story short my tank had a Crack coming from the tiny chip Kate called about to the top of my tank. I had to take almost all the water out and clean the flood. The next day I contacted Kate telling her what happen she basically said that it was like that before they got it..but the thing is the tank had a sticker on the front of the tank from the aquarium company that was removed by Kate, I asked why she did it and she said because she THOUGHT I would like it removed when really it was removed so I wouldnt be able to tell front from back...the chip was in the same exact location of the sticker...Kate said that she will not be taking responsibility for it and even more so because I didnt purchase the tank from them..to sum it up they do horrible business with great costumers and they will never receive another penny from me

The store gave me one of the most confusing experiences I have ever had at any store. My wife and I have 6 chickens, and need a specific type of food for them. We had to normally drive 16 miles each way to Malibu feed to pick up this food which was a pain in the butt, but they sold it for $24.99 for a 50 lb bag. I was really happy when I found the exact same bag at the 34 Pet shop for $28.99, and was willing to pay the extra four bucks to not drive 30 miles! Also, I thought I was doing the right thing shopping at a local store, so whatever, Ill pay the extra 4 bucks. Anyways, I bought the chickens their food at the 34 pet shop **twice** at this price ($28.99). When I came a third time, they told me that they never ever carried this product, despite the fact that I bought it there **twice**, looked at me like I was nuts, and had to special order it. Not a problem, whatever. I put down a non-refundable $20, and waited for them to call. When my order came in, I drove to the store, and they said that it was now $38.99, a full 10 bucks more than what I paid the previous two times at this same store! As well, they told me that if I needed to purchase it again, I had to give them a FULL MONTH to special order it. Anyways, I now refuse to shop there, but luckily found a similar product at Centinella feed for $24.99. Dont shop there. They will rip you off.

Terrible. Sad. I came in and most of their reptiles were malnourished and not being taken care of. Most of their bearded dragons had cut tails, and they were all dehydrated. Their pacman frog wasnt even in the right enclosure. Their temperatures and humidity were not at all accurate for the environment they were supposed to be in. The boas had infections in their mouths (swollen and bleeding), stuck shed, and no proper treatment. As an experienced reptile handler, I asked the workers if they were treating the boas and the lady up front said yes. I asked her with what and she said she had no idea and that they were not being treated (after having said they were), she looked like she had 0 interest in treating them or even in hearing me out about my concerns of the reptiles. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE TO BUY REPTILES. Unless youre buying them to save them from the terrible conditions theyre being put under right now. Really sad seeing them not care about their pets being sold. I took pictures of the terrible conditions the boas were in, and if theres a way to post them on here I will.

Ive went to this pet shop about 5 years ago and the customer service was very bad some things pertaining the fish that I had purchase from them I notice very early that the fishes were getting .some type of fungus on them and white spots on them as well. So I went back to the pet store to explain to the owner what have been go on she says that its probably coming from my aquarium water. When she told me that I knew right then an their that she didnt have a clue about what she was talking about I began to be very unsatisfied with their business and walk out of the store and never return back.

The older people that work here a old man and old lady arent knowledgeable at all on pets. But the three younger adults are awesome. Then they say they close at 7 but close at 630. I get there at 620 and theyre already closed. Then the old man argues with me bc I tell him I walked 20 min. To get here and you close earlier than what you say. So he says I cant return the mouse. Bad service. If it wasnt for these two they would get five stars. How can you own a pet shop and dont know much about the pets you sell. I have a 4 month old snake and he gives me an almost adult sized rat to feed him smh

Very knowledgeable of all African and other cichlids..kate knows just about every answer to all questions...she saved 22 of my fish in my 210 long..would recommend people to stop by and check them out...ask for kate or armondo........they sell alot of nice fish so check them out often cuz stock runs out fast....only problem is that they sell all the good colored up fish fast..nice assortment

Bought 3 turtles within 38hours 1 died replaced it that 1 died 75 hours later Did not replace that one left with 2 now one of the remaining two just died after 2 1/2 months I think they sell animals that are to young.

The pore snakes and reptiles are not treated probably I saw a bearded Dragon and he head scale rot so did the snakes and the people in there are rude as soon I said the animals are in a bad health
