Im a firm believer that the way you run your office and allow your employees to treat patients is a direct reflection of who you are & Im basing this review on the unprofessionalism of her front office (Im only giving them A Star because Im forced to). I was trying to book an appointment for my daughter and let me tell you... they will literally GRILL you before letting you even make an appointment. Are you kidding me? They asked me what type of insurance I had (asked 3 xs) and I mentioned I had a PPO and that I had confirmed I was covered at any Medical Office but she refused to schedule an appointment unless I gave her the EXACT billing address of my insurance, Group ID & Phone Number of my insurance so she could call before I could even come in. Such BS. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever. Completely unprofessional. God forbid a parent without insurance who would have to pay cash were to call. Theyd probably hang up on you or make you email them a picture of your wad of cash. LOL. When I asked if this was absolutely necessary (I didnt have my card in front of me) she said it was MANDATORY or I would never get an appointment. Such a joke. You havent even provided a service but you want to know where to send the bill? Oh, sure... Thanks but NO THANKS. Ill gladly take my business elsewhere. I couldnt possibly get a clearer sign that patient care does not come 1st at this office. They treat you like they expect you to come into their office for services without being able to pay (God forbid!). I would expect this type of treatment in a 3rd world country (You cant pay? Guess what? You wont be able to see loser!!). Jeeze. Take your business to a Dr. who actually places patient care 1st. This place is a joke.

Beware!!! This is one of the worst doctors office ever! They will not value your time, but will charge you for theirs. First time we went there we didnt have to wait too long. But dont be deceived..its their ploy. Next time we went there was for my sons pre-surgery, we waited an hour+. The office always overbooks (four patients in one time slot-front desk girl told me), so you will wait hour+. Staff is unapologetic, and Jotterand will apologize, but continues to overbook (so her apology means nothing). My son had his surgery, and Jotterand wanted a follow-up in 3 months. Her staff scheduled it for 3 months and 3 days after. So the insurance wouldnt cover the follow-up surgery appointment (cut off was 90 days). They do this so they can bill your insurance for an office visit. When you bring it to their attention, they say they will waive the copay. Her Office Manager, Lina didnt think it was her staffs responsibility to know/be knowledgeable about the insurance. When I asked my insurance about the 90 day follow-up, they said it was a common practice, that my doctors office should have informed me. Now I found out they have overcharged me. I sent in a payment on September 30 (they cashed on October 7). When my husband takes my son in for his follow-up (again, waited hour+ in the exam room), they say they need a payment, so my husband pays again. Patient care is not their priority, your money is...do yourself a favor and stay away!!!

My daughter had bilateral tear duct surgery performed by Dr Jotterand and was left with horrible scaring to both eyes and with both eyes still tearing.I took her for a second opinion and was told theyve never seen so much scaring for this type of surgery Im now covered in guilt for not researching provider. I write this review to make you aware that not all doctor are competent and to prevent this from happening to anyone else I feel terrible, Im frequently reminded when Im asked in public "what happen to her eyes" or when I take pictures and I see the scaring on every photo or when my daughter asks me to take it off like if its a scab that can be removed. My daughter has to have surgery again to correct the tearing and plastic surgery to try to minimize the scaring from first surgery. Please parents Do your research!!!!

Dr Jotterand is EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional. My daughter went to this woman and due to the referral did not get in until after her 18th birthday - and when asking about my daughters health, I went to answer a question and she snipped at me "shes 18 - I dont want to know what you have to say" uhhhh - she turned 18 a few weeks ago and has me here as I am a nurse and have been handling her medical stuff since her concussion a few weeks ago and you want to disrespect me in front of her? Not to mention that the only reason she was here (having 20/20 vision) was because she had a severe concussion and having issues with one eye on the side of her head injury. Im absolutely furious and not to mention it took nearly 3 hours to even see anyone with us being on time for a scheduled appointment

I had my adult strabismus corrected by the gifted Dr. Jotterand. It is true the office pre-screens and you have to have insurance before you make an appointment. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Jotterand and finally have straight eyes. I am still dealing with insurance and the fact Dr. Jotterands bill did not reflect my large deductible paid on the date of surgery. I found Dr. Jotterand herself to be kind, patient, compassionate and most importantly a talented surgeon. This was my third eye surgery, the other two were done when I was a child. Dr. Jotterand did a wonderful job and my eyes look nice after the adjustible suture technique was done on both eyes.

La recepcionista una señora mayor es muy ruda, mal educada y prepotente, es una bruja sin escoba, la deberían despedir pues ya no es alta para el trabajo sino sabe tratar a las personas con respeto, posiblemente ejemplo de sus padres o así la trataron a ella, es racista me parece que tiene aserrín en el cerebro.

I had strabismus surgery done with Dr. Jotterand and it didnt make any difference at ALL in my appearance or vision. It was a total waste of time and money. Im VERY disappointed and sad. I wouldnt recommend this doctor to anyone! Not only does the surgery not work, but I felt very uncomfortable at this office. Its in an unsafe neighborhood and the office is very old and ugly. The staff members are downright rude.

I have just lowered my rating from the previous posting (3 stars) to one star. Why? Its 30 minutes past opening and I have gotten the exchange twice. The woman at the exchange has been taking calls all morning due to the office being, ONCE AGAIN, inexplicably closed!! WHAT kind of business ethic does this place have?!? (the 1- star kind)

Dr. Kohara is great and very talented. But, multiply times they were 30-40 min over our Appt time before being seen. Today we were 30 min late to appointment and they refused to see us. We are talking about a 5 year old with EYE trauma. Happy for there help, but transferring to a different doctor that is a little more considerate.
