I heard about this wonderful sausage about 10 yrs ago from a coworker (Alice). We were headed to the area on business with our boss (Larry). He agreed we could stop. So we set to planning ice chests. I had no idea what I was going to experience. The apple chicken sausage was new at the time (as an option in stores) so I decided that would be an option. I chose a couple other options and I believe this is the BEST IVE EATEN!!! I have spent the last 10 yrs hoping to get back there. I have told so many people. Heres the kicker...you dont see much fat at all in any of their sausage. I was almost sickened when I had to eat prepackaged sausage again. "Worth every mile and every bite" I live 2.5 hours away

I am 54. When I was young my Mom would give me some money and I would go to the butcher down the street. The store had sausages hanging from the ceiling. Meat in a glass case. The butcher would take my Moms note and slice the balogna, or salami, or pocket a roast. He was a butcher. Lockeford Meat is a wonderful butcher shop. They will take your home grown hog, your deer, whatever you have, and completely butcher it. They will take your animal and make steaks, roasts, or sausage(s). They have sausages,and more,in the glass case to purchase above and beyond your own animal. Their sausage recipies (they recipies they use to make the sausage(s)) are great! I LOVE this place.

We had several family and friends recommend this place, but said to be prepared for a long wait. The line wasnt too bad. There were many customers waiting, who made several recommendations. We ended up leaving with a little bit of everything. Not disappointed at all!!!! Everything was delicious!!! Next time, even if there is a long line, we would wait. We will definitely be going back - SOON!

THE BEST SAUSAGES EVER!!! If you want a real treat, use their basil pesto sausage for spaghetti sauce. The teriyaki beef sticks never seem to make it home, no matter how mnany we buy. The Hawaiian and pineapple sausages make youre taste buds sing! I used a stick of linguica for my ministrone and the family immediately said they want that recipe every time. Great place!

My wife and I happily just happened upon this shop while traveling from the central coast back to Idaho. We bought some of their linguica just to try it out. It is absolutely the best we have ever had. Only wish I had bought more. I can see why now their little shop was packed with people. I hope they can continue to operate for many years.

Ive not been at this store, but have been eating their smoked Dakota bratwurst for many years at the local Art & Wine festivals these guys show up at! Huge brats, lots of onions and kraut and youre set for only six dollars! Highly recommend this place and their brats!

Ive been coming here for 20 years. I think that says something. During the holidays they have blueberry and cranberry sausages. I love their bratwurst, and on any given day they have a number of different housemade sausages, such as pesto, teriyaki, and garlic.

I love this place. We have made it a tradition to invite buddys over for the SuperBowl and treat the with sausages from Lockeford Meat and Sausage. I live about 50 miles away, but I find it well worth it to make a trip out there every now and then.

Theres usually a line, but that only tells you how good the sausages are if people are willing to wait the extra 15-20 minutes. Come here early if you want to get any meats, less of a wait. They have great stuff here for a reasonable price.

My husband and I plans to buy meat here once a month. Thats how much we love it here! You can also tell that theyre a great place what with all the customers that line up just to buy meat. My fave is their ham hacks and bacon.

I have a good friend that had grilled a variety of there sausages on day. Each time that I tried one they were freaking great, the flavors, spices, and meat quality were off of the chart! That HAWAIIAN has me hooked!!!

I love this place and have been coming here since 1998. Dakota smoked brats are delicious. The giant meat sticks make an excellent snack while driving home. Tiny store, but the staff work fast to fill your order.

Its all amazing we know that... But if you arent local try and come on a weekday or youll be in a line similar to the DMV... But outside. The shops very small but worth the wait.

Great sausages and beef jerky! The Hawaiian Luau and Smoked Dakota were delicious! Good place to stop after youre done wine tasting in Lodi or coming back from Kirkwood.

Best Hawian sausage. They have a great selection of all kinds of sausages. Fresh beef sticks and beef jerky. They also have bacon and marinaded tri-tip.

OMG!!! the Hawaiian and Dakota are the Absolute BEST!!!!! Oh and the Jerky MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Sometimes there is a long line but so worth it.
