I have been coming to the McIvor store for many years, and I have to say that McIvor provides the best customer service compared to other nationwide chained hardware stores. My understanding is that this is a family run business, and the current owner and his son Aaron always patiently help their customers find the best solutions and the proper products at a very reasonable price. To give an example, the wires of my 30+-year-old ceiling light fixture burned out a few days ago, and I was not able to find the replacement parts. If I chose to replace it with a new light fixture, I would need to replace several of them throughout the house. After talking to Aaron, he was so knowledgeable and creative to come up a solution to solve my problem. He even spent 10 minutes to help my put the parts together and attach the wires so I could take it home to connect to the existing light fixture. Best of all, it only caused me less than $7, and my problem was solved. Thank you, Aaron.

Ive been going to McIvors for about 20 years and have found that if you have a project and questions, these guys KNOW what theyre talking about and will help you engineer it properly! Decent inventory that is often superior to HD or Loews, more convenient, too. If Im working on something tricky or needing quality materials or attention, I ALWAYS head over to McIvors. Too bad about other reviewers experience w/ McIvors staff, it is definitely the exception.

Ive lived near McIvors about fifteen years. They have a remarkable inventory. Their staff is very knowledgeable with lots of home-owner maintenance experience. They can be a little popular, and/or short staffed, so you may have to wait for service. They give good, clear directions and answers so customers are always keeping them busy. You may have to wait but its far less frustrating than multiple trips to the big box stores.

Love Mc Ivors Hardware - Always, always helpful. They are knowledgeable and have a great selection of the most often hardware necessities and dont mind saving you a buck or two if it will perform as expected. As someone else said for every dollar spent you get a dollar of advise and then some. If you own a home in the area they probably know more about the plumbing & windows than you do.

Ive been going to this place for 6 months ever since I got a job near it and Id have to say this is the best quality hardware store Ive been to in a long time. Theyre extremely helpful and are very knowledgeable. Customer service has always been quick and friendly. Props to them for maintaining this and in the hustle and bustle of work its always a delight to drop by.
