This OSH seems to be where the disgruntled and downtrodden find jobs. Ive been here more than ten times at this point and can only remember one positive staff experience where someone honestly seemed to want to help me find what I to fix something in my house. Here is a great example of what I mean. I went in today looking for a few small things and wanted to get some keys copied. Im walking down the rows and see someone with an OSH shirt slowly pushing a cart. I ask if they copy keys and he looks at me and just says "Isle 14", I thank him and head off. I found what I was looking for and then went back to the isle and the machine was there; but there wasnt anyone around or a way to get help. So I waited while I located the blank I wanted, and then started looking down the rows again. I found the same guy as before and asked if there was someone who could help me with the keys. His response "oh, Ill do that, Im the only one here who can". Really? He couldnt have said that when I first asked him about the keys, or even taken me over and gotten the key copied? No, just made me walk around and have to find my own help, who was the person I talked to in the first place. Ive seen arguments among staff, Ive seen what I think was a manager, perhaps a shift lead, wandering around very loudly telling people where they needed to get some work done, and had one cashier who giggled through our whole transaction because "you look just like an old version of my friend, beard and all, its funny". All in all they still have stuff that I need and use and where the staff can be tired, grouchy, or completely unaware of the store around them at least you can track them down (unlike some of the other homecenter around).

Orchard Supply in Dublin is having a moving sale for40to70% off I recently looked at it a craftsman tool at Orchard and at Sears it was a hundred and $19 I took the the tool off $119 shelf and took a to the cashier and they charge me 119 saying well there price isnt the same as other orchards so obviously they marked up the tools 40% asked about my other products that were advertise 40 percent they said somewhere 30 but couldnt tell me which ones were extremely rude I have never been treated this bad at an Orchard Supply I spend a lot of money there at my local Orchard Supply which this is not BEWARE VERY SHIFTY

The new Pleasanton store is very nice. They have a great assortment of merchandise. Excellent selection of gardening tools and supplies. I like that I can go there and buy soil or groundcover bark and they load it for me. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. Much more pleasant than shopping at Home Depot for everyday sorts of hardware/houseware items.

Orchard has most if not all of the things you need from a hardware store chain but it just feels a little more mom and pop than the larger, more corporate chains. We have an apartment not a house so our hardware needs arent as extensive as a homeowner but we have had good experiences the few times weve gone into an Orchard.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Many items are discounted because they are moving to Pleasanton in 2017. I had never been to this chain before until I noticed they had some decent prices on Google Express for the light switches I was looking for.

l usually buy at the local store, however they did not have the item I wanted in stock so I decided to buy online and when it arrives I will pick up at the store.
