We ordered a sofa, recliner, accent recliner, and bed for my son from Ashley Furniture in Concord California. As a side note the accent recliner was a discontinued model so we ended up purchasing the floor model. The salesman said that it would take 1 to 3 weeks for delivery for all items. It ended up taking about 6 weeks for the delivery. This delay is understandable. When the products finally arrived the sofa and bed were both damaged. The plastic that is meant to protect the sofa was actually glued to the seat cushions. When the delivery guy attempted to pull off the plastic the leather actually started to tear. At that point they stopped and placed it back on the truck. The bed, model Embrace, has two sets of drawers that we purchased. One set had scratches on the edge of the drawers. The bed color is a dark brown almost black. My mother in law walked in on the delivery guy and he was coloring in the scratches with a sharpie. At that point she stopped him and took some pictures with her phone. The accent chair was not even on the truck. The delivery guy said that it was on back order. In reality it was sitting at the Concord store waiting for them to pick it up. I guess it was input into the system wrong. Everything was okay with the recliner and that is now our only family room seating until we get this mess resolved. I now get to spend the next month on countless phone calls trying to get their mess straightened out. As for the store, they are absolutely no help once you walk out of the store. All they have done is direct me to the customer service because they are not authorized to do anything and the manager never seems to be available. Before you buy from Ashley think about my experience. Here is a recap. 1. Out of 4 items that were to be delivered, only one was acceptable. This is a 75 percent error rate. 2. Someone in administration had to input the order wrong into the system, someone in manufacturing had to place glue on the sofa, someone in manufacturing or delivery had to scratch the bed, and someone in delivery tried to hide the damages by coloring them in with an ink pen. This is not an isolated issue, rather a problem throughout the organization. 3. If a product arrives damaged they reserve the right to repair the damages. So don’t think they are going to order you a new one and replace it. I will most likely get a refurbished unit even though I paid for a new one. 4. Customer support will give you two options, neither of which is acceptable. 5. It is now 7 days later and I am no where closer to getting what I paid for. In fact, I have yet to receive a call with an update.

This review is based on Ashleys delivery/warehouse. I bought from them twice and twice was screwed by the delivery/warehouse. The 1st time they delivered all my furniture except for my bed which they said i was told was on back order. When the rails was available for delivery i was then told the bed was out of stock. After threatening to return the whole order they found a bed to complete the order. I was hesitant on purchasing something else from them but despite my better judgment i order a table and chair set with matching buffet. Once again the delivery team came with all the pieces but no screws to put the table together said they would come back the next day with screws. They came back the next day with the screws but the base and bottom didnt match said they would have someone call me to figure out the next step. After a week of waiting for someone to call i called them and they had to send out a technician to look at the top and base and discovered they were not a match. So i had to wait another week for them to exchange the whole thing. I contacted the store to ask for a refund of my delivery fee and was told i could only get back half the fee cause they have to charge something for the delivery. Ashley furniture has beautiful furniture pieces and you can furnish your entire house with their pieces. The salespeople in the store are excellent and very attentive to your needs(except when you want a refund). The warehouse sucks and because of them I will never by anything from them ever again

Unfortunately I have to change my review from two weeks ago. It turns out, once Ashley Furniture has your money, they no longer give good customer service. First of all the people who delivered our furniture were so unprofessional, If I was home alone I likely wouldnt have even opened the door for them. Then our entertainment center was damaged so they said they would have someone out 3/31 to fix. Well 3/30 came around, no call for timing. So I called the store, I was put on hold multiple times, then taken off hold but still not spoken to, whoever was on the other end of the phone was speaking to someone else. She then told me I had to call their customer service line to get the timing of my service...what?! since when is it my job to call and find out our window? But fine, I called, and sat on hold for 45 minutes. Never got through. I tried calling on 3/31 and sat on hold AGAIN for 60 minutes and never got through. Of course no one showed to fix our wall unit. I finally talked to a manager who was nice and ordered a new piece for us to switch out. But seriously...this has been such a hassle. I was very impressed with them when we were shopping around and wanting to spend money...once they have it, its onto the next customer. I am completely appalled and will never shop at Ashley again...oh wait they gave me a $200 gift card for my troubles...great.

My wife and I ordered a bedroom set from the Concord, CA store last March. It arrived within a week, so they kept their word on that. The guys assembled everything, but did strip out some of the screws on one of the dressers. This caused the drawer to not shut properly. He tried to repair it but you can obviously tell the drawer isnt straight and has problems staying shut. I was forced to move due to the military and so when I got to my new location the local store there informed me that they can not honor the warranty since the stores are independently owned. I didnt find it odd they are independently owned, but the warranty/extended warranty should all be under the same company. I called back to the original store and they advised me to call the corporate headquarters. Corporate told me to call the warranty place. The warranty pace told me to file a claim on their website. I still havent heard back from them in a little while, just too much running around and no one is talking responsibility. Once they get your money to store has nothing to do with you. I will not be buying from this place again.

Customer service is horrible! Bought our furniture and after 3 months of waiting, it arrives. Ashley representatives puts the bed together and we find out they brought the wrong railings. Instead of eastern king they bring California king. Gentleman say the office we call you and we make note of error. We finally try calling the store and they give us run around. No one answering phone. Now we are going to attempt calling everyday until someone helps us and try to make time to go to the store In the meantime, I have box springs I cant use because the bed railing are wrong. Very disappointed in this place. Its like dealing with car salesman. Once you pay your money and get off the lot your on your own. Look at Ashley furniture concord for a last resort if you are shopping for furniture. There is a reason the majority of reviews shows this place below average in ratings. As the saying goes, Where there is smoke there is fire.
