While most of the post about the carts were valid the blame was made on a company that has nothing to do with parking lot it resides in. Many parking lots are privately and separately owned by a business. Yes the parking lot does not have many cart drop-off" locations, but the problems are on the customers, and the parking lot owner, not Ralphs. The owner has hired a guard to help with the rule breakers (its privately owned, thats why there is no smoking in the food court, get over it you smokers) I have found that the people in that particular area of Carlsbad make no attempt to place the carts near or in the cart areas. The locals enjoy placing them right next to your vehicle so it can be damaged. They dont even find an empty space, I watched a man driving a nice BMW slam his cart in to mine, and left his trash in the cart and even on the ground. All the customers care about is themselves. The parking lot consists of one way lanes yet the customers go the wrong way, and speed. Yes the locals speed like mad, blow through the stops (clearly marked on the ground), nearly hit a few people, only to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks. The sad thing is that these "wrong doers" are adults. NOT KIDS, they are aged from 30+ and have an air of self entitlement. I avoid the store just because of the customers. Now about the store. The store is absolutely beautiful. The prices are a little high, yes, but we are in Carlsbad, not Chula Vista. The staff was nice, and the cashier, treated my son and I wonderfully (maybe because we had the same name?) THE BATHROOMS WERE EMMACULATE!!! I didnt feel like I had the risk of getting some STDs just while using them! Its a shame i have to give it 4 stars. Its all due to the citizens of Carlsbad.

I used to go to my neighborhood Ralphs because it is very close to my house. But when I wanted to feel truly wanted and appreciated I went to Vons. The employees called me by name, said hello and do you need help to take your groceries to the car. The special attention meant that they didnt talk to other employees and check when they would have a break. Then Ralphs remodeled and the store is beautiful and someone figured out how to treat customers and they copied Vons. There is even a greeter to say hello. Life would be perfect if Ralphs had figured out that people need a place to park their grocery cart after the car is loaded with the over priced Ralphs products. Yes, overpriced, but the store is close to my house and the store is so large that I can get my walk while I shop. Now-the cart problem.

I have a medical condition where I cant go under fluorescent lights. The only way I can get groceries is if someone shops for me, if they are delivered to my house, or if the store is willing to take my card from me outside the building, ring up groceries, and bring them outside. I called about the third option since Im traveling (3,000 miles away from home) and am all alone. They said it would be no problem, so I walked a few miles all the way down, called back, and suddenly they couldnt do it for me. What a waste of my time!

The employees are quite helpful, especially in the self-checkout lane where you might struggle when finding items without barcodes. I usually come here for dry goods, but they also have a good selection of produce and meats. If youre looking for a particular cut of meat though, you might want to come early to make sure you find it. I usually am unable to buy beef shank here coz its gone whenever I visit.

I have been a loyal shopper for may years at Ralphs. The selections are good, the store well stocked and the help is always courteous. But I cant stand the DOGS in and around my food. Two weeks ago, I saw an owner yank his dog away when he started to lift his hind leg. Yesterday, I saw a lady with two dogs in her grocery cart. Stop this madness. NO DOGS IN THE MARKET!

been there a few times. they have everything you need. the service is amazing. I even called on the chance of them knowing the name of another business in the same shopping center, and they actually sent someone down there to get the name and phone number of the place. absolutely amazing service. thank you ralphs

The staff is courtious, but the store Director is a PIP! Ive never seen a Manger berate a employee publically in the manner this lady does. I grew up in retail, and my father would have fire this woman on the spot for treating the employees in the manner she does. Ralphs would be better off with out her.

best ralphs you will visit...they have plenty of help....you will not wait long to get checked out....they have everything...but somewhat on the expensive side unless it is on ad...huge parking lot....be careful of the wild ducks when driving..they have adopted the parking lot....

I love ❤️ this store its like cheers the bar (everyone knows your name) The store is clean and well stocked. But its the employees that makes the difference they go out of thier way to make your shopping experience nice and easy!!!

5/26/14 by far the best out of any Ralphs I ever been to, Nick and Dustin completely went out of their way to help fine what I need it I had a very nice experience at this store thank you again for your kindness

Sadly Ralphs has become too "modern." I no longer get ads from them, now were supposed to use their app; but that doesnt easily tell me what is on sale. I used to go there a lot, but now not so much.

A nice enough Ralphs. Its kind of dark inside which isnt great. Prices are on the high side unless you use their loyalty card. They also have self checkout, but it doesnt work all that great.

The staff is always great and helpful. The deli service staff make great sandwiches too. They are currently renovating so it. May take some time to find where everything was moved around to.

Customer service can be lacking, but this is a huge store with a lot of different departments and wide variety of choices.
