Don’t Ever Get Your Vehicle Serviced at Putnam Toyota! I took my Camry in for a simple oil change and I left with a quote of over $500 to repair something that their tech damaged. I took my vehicle to my own mechanic and it was confirmed that that damage was originated by their tech by over tightening the oil plug using their power tools, which then stripped the threads of the oil pan. The thing that REALLY agitated me was the fact that their “service advisor” said that the plug was already damaged, which I know for a fact that it was not because I previously personally changed the oil myself and I know I didn’t over tighten the plug to the point where it I would strip the threads by hand, and also my oil NEVER leaked, and after their tech damaged the oil pan by stripping the threads, when I brought my vehicle home, I noticed the oil was severely leaking through the damaged plug. My mechanic showed me the damaged threads on the plug and on the oil pan, so I know the damage was caused by the overuse of their power tools when tightening the plug. Also, if the damage was already present, it should have been Putnam Toyota’s responsibility to call me first (before doing the oil service) to let me know of the issue to tell me that the oil pan needed replacing, not tell me after the oil change was completed and left dripping. It was completely unprofessional to blame the customer knowing that the damage was caused by their inexperienced tech, and then trying to have the customer pay for the error of THEIR employee… that’s totally unacceptable! I have been a loyal customer of Putnam Toyota for many years, but after this incident, I will never go back to purchase a vehicle or for service. These guys are completely dishonest and will not take the blame for their own error, but would rather make you believe that the issue was already present and then try to stick you with a $500 bill to fix the issue that THEY caused. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

I apologize as I meant to write this a few weeks ago! It has been on my mind as Mr. Darren Yu did an excellent job, and the guilt of not writing a review for him would bother me tremendously. I dont normally write reviews but his is well deserved. I accompanied my parents to look for a car, with the idea that we were going to purchase a Subaru Forester as the new family vehicle for road trips and such. After our test drive, we decided to think about the car as we had lunch. It was a good car but to match all the specs my parents wanted would put us well above our budget, but we were still ready to purchase. As we headed back to Putnam Subaru, we decided why not try the Prius V since we were already in the area, the new cost was around that price, and we talked about the car before...Once we walked in the door we were greeted by Darren who was very professional and friendly. He took us up to see the cars and since there werent any of the models we wanted at the time, we test drove the 5. To our pleasant surprise he was also very educated in the specs of the car and responded very friendly and politely to my parents many questions. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed. We were charmed by his charisma and knowledge of the product and were ultimately sold. I would recommend Darren to any of my future Toyota buying friends and family. Full stars and more! Btw, the nifty coffee machine in the waiting room is a very nice touch!

They say that the 2 most hated professions in the world are car salesmen and attorneys. So, you may say thats why my husband and I (both attorneys) were able to connect so well with Jeff H., internet Fleet Manager of Putnam Toyota. However, I think my 100% positive experience at this location can be attributed solely to Jeff H. When we arrived at the dealership this past Saturday, we had no intentions of driving out with a new Prius. Yes, my husband spent hours into research and we were well informed consumers, but we were just going in to take a test drive. But Jeffs personal touch turned our test drive into a new car purchase. First and foremost, he was so friendly and down to earth. He answered all of our questions and offered helpful advice from his own experience as a long-time driver of a Prius. Second, he made the sales experience feel like a conversation between friends rather than employing the usual sales tactics or pressure to get us to buy. While we waited for our financing paperwork to be completed, he regaled us with anecdotes about his extensive concert experiences. The 4 hours we spent at the dealership felt like minutes! We felt that Jeff H. treated us fairly and with respect and the entire experience was 100% positive. I highly recommend Jeff H. if you are in the market for a Toyota.

This is my second purchase from this prestigious dealership. My first time was back in 2011 when I got my pre-certified 2009 Corolla S, and this time I got my beautiful brand new 2016 4Runner SR5 Premium. The Excellent experience and the great customer service I received back then, brought me back to this place, and guess what, I had even much better experience this time. The staff here never let you down. ABDUL ASALATI was my salesman this time, this person is one of the best salesmen I ever met, hes super friendly, very knowledgable and extremely patient with all my boring detailed questions! He guided me through every single feature in this truck, then ended up with offering me the best price in the whole Bay Area for this specific trim. Many thanks Abdul. Another person with Putnam Toyota Family that Id like to thank is the cool Finance Manager DAVID PROCTOR. He was kind enough to explain thoroughly every single package he offered me, and he made the whole transaction very smooth, easy and really fast. Both Abdul and David made my day and proved that Putnam Toyota is the best. I would definitely buy my next car from this awesome dealership, and of course I will continue bringing my Toyota vehicles to do the service at Putnam. Putnam was the only dealership that had the exact Tacoma I was looking for. Going in a late Saturday evening I was not expecting to walk out with the car and was ready to defend myself against pushy sales people and people with half baked knowledge about the brand new model (had been out less than a week). Darren Yu happened to be my sales contact and he was really knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He worked very hard to make the deal happen and I walked out with almost a sale (there was a technical glitch) that night. The next day he followed up after fixing the problem and we sealed the deal. When I showed up at the dealership, the car was all prepped and ready to go. The finance manager (unfortunately I forget his name) was a really nice person. Offered me the add on products but did not push me to any uncomfortable level. Very quick and personal. No hidden fees or last minute nasty surprises. Darren called me up a few days later to ensure I was happy with my purchase and helped me setup a service appointment to deal with a warranty issue. People like Darren make new car buying a pleasure (except on the bank account LOL). Mr. Putnam, with people like these you have a great team. Keep up the good work!
