I usually dont write review. And yes this is my first review of my life. The reason of writing this review because there is no where for me to complaint about the lack of professional and customer service that Albany Subaru offer. Here is my experience and hope will help you guys if you are planing to go to this location: On 12/23, we made an deal with a sale men for a new car, and i put down a deposit with my credit, since the sale man told me that i will be getting the car the next day by noon. So we went home with excitement. The next day around 12:30pm. No one contact us, so I call. and guess what!. Another sale person told me that the sales person who was helped us yesterday was not in and told me that I wont be getting the car on 12/24. Okey, no one told me that. So I left message to the sales person who helped us on 12/23. And he called me back (12/26), saying that they wont be able to get the car that I wanted and that he didnt know that the sales manger didnt call me. And they will refund my deposit. Okey!. whatever, so I waited and knowing that it is holiday transaction will take extra days. I called my bank on 12/29 to see if there is a refund coming in. And the bank told me that no, not any refund. So I called Albany Subaru again. Guess what they told me, they hadnt process my refund on the day I called (12/24 & 12/26). They asked my card info again so they can refund. Okey! that is just no comment. I gave them my info. I call my bank again 12/30 noon, bank told me there is no refund coming in. So I call the dealer again to request a receipt of the refund transaction to be safe on my end. Guess what! I had being calling them since 1pm. No one wanted to return my call, their excuse is that they are busy!. Finally, I called them almost every 1hr and finally they transfer me to the sale manager. the sale manger told me that the refund went through this morning (12/30). (of course i know it is not true) I asked him to email me the receipt after he got my email, he hang up on me. It is 4:25pm. So I called back 15mins later (because I didnt get any email), and ask when I will be getting the email. The sale manger told me " 4 0 mins (four, zero) mins" yes he spelled out 40 for me, then hang up again. Any one who are thinking to do business with this dealer, good luck!! I hope I can get my money back soon. p.s. I had also asked the receptionist for their financial person (who suppose to do the refund) s direct line, since she hadnt reply my calls, guess what she told me : " oh sorry, we dont have direct line for each person, we only have one line and we transfer your call". Fair enough.. I think if i told them that I want to buy a new car, they will be super nice. Clearly, they dont care you, when u ask them to give your own money back. 50mins later: no refund receipt email, called again. the receptionist told me that the sale manger is left for the day! eeeh... excuse me!!. Now im on hold again! Wthat the......

I bought my car from here the last week of July 2014 and have been procrastinating this review ever since, but it is well deserved so it needs to be done! I bought a Fusion Energi and the salesman was Don. I started my search at my local dealers around Sacramento and they all sucked. I was lucky to have anyone that knew anything about the car, if they were willing to give me the time of day to start with. Don not only knew everything about the car, but he was the ONLY one to show me how to use all the features on the test drive (the EV modes, the park assist, adaptive cruise control etc). So right off the bat he was light years ahead of everyone else. After the test drive he noticed the check engine light was on, and since it was a Sunday he wanted to keep the car and have the service department look at it on Monday. He said he would try to get me the car by Tuesday, but would only promise Friday at the latest. OK sounds good. I wasnt in a hurry to go anywhere else after my epic failures elsewhere LOL. I got a call on Monday saying a part was broken that was 2 weeks on back order...oh no! I said OK at that moment. As I mulled it over, I knew I wouldnt have piece of mind with this car (unfounded as it may be) and called on Tuesday to see if the long shot of doing a dealer trade on the same model with the same options was possible. He said OK and I got a call on Wednesday that they found someone to do a trade with. Not only did I have the replacement car delivered to my work over 100 miles away, but he also threw in the lighted sill plates for free for the trouble. (so he actually did meet his original promise of "by Friday" after everything after all!) They definitely didnt put their bottom line ahead of me walking away happy. Don and one other employee came to deliver the car 100+ miles away plus the sill plates retail for about $250, not to mention there is no guarantee the price they paid the other dealership to do the trade was the same price they paid for the car I originally bought. It actually didnt stop there. The charge port ring in my car went out after a few months and after shooting an email to Don, he set me up with the manager in the service department that was familiar with the electric vehicles and that was taken care of without any hassle as well. If I buy another Ford, this is where Im going. Hell, if don goes somewhere else I will probably find him and go there! Also, the service department has its own google listing so not sure why people are posting service center reviews here.

I went into Albany Ford Subaru ready to buy a used vehicle I saw online earlier this year. Frankly, it would be easiest to list all the things that went wrong with my car-buying experience with them: • I called ahead to make sure the vehicle was available, they confirmed it was. Yet when I got there after a long drive, it turned out the boss had taken that vehicle for a trip to Tahoe all weekend. • Even without a test drive, the whole paperwork process took several hours when other dealerships take minutes to come up financing options. • They had promised to deliver the vehicle to my home since I was unable to drive home with it that same day but later attempted to back out on this promise. • When Ken, the dealer, arrived more than 30mins late to our appointment to sign the final contracts and turn over the car, he had the indecency to get upset with me for not sticking around to wait longer for him because I had a school exam I had to get to. Keep in mind he didn’t even have to drive all the way to my home like he promised, we were supposed to meet halfway. • When I finally test drove the car, they thought I wouldn’t notice an extra 2,000 miles then what was advertised online. Because of this, all the contracts were incorrect but the dealer still wanted me to drive all the way back to Albany to sign the corrected contracts because of their mistake. I don’t think so. • The oil change message turned on the same week I sent in my SECOND payment, and when I called back about this, their manager refused to take responsibility stating “it did not need service when it was sold to me.” What about that trip to Tahoe and those +2k miles unaccounted for?? For a $60 oil change, Albany Ford Subaru earned themselves another bad review. They were lucky this particular car sold itself because their lack of customer service, punctuality, and trustworthiness is absolutely shameful. I love my car, but hate that I bought it from this dealership.
