I must say that my husband and I were treated poorly the1st time we visited Mckevitt Alfa Romeo. I am not sure what his name is but his desk is the first desk when you walk in. Unfortunately he thought we were wasting his time. Not his exact words, I know it was a little late in the evening and they close at 6 but all I wanted to do was see if my husband really liked this car he has been talking about all year. We left and came back a few weeks later and met with a pleasant young lady that was brand new and knew nothing about the cars. As we walking to your car we met Robert the manager. I guess they do not have many employees working for them and the managers have to do paperwork at the other building sometimes. We spoke with Robert and found a lot of common ground with him. He apologized that they were shorthanded and we talked about everything but buying a car for about 20 minutes. Then he offered to work with us directly if we were still interested. My husband told him we were just dreaming, but we exchanged information and Robert emailed me thanking us for coming in. While we were in Rome I decided that this was going to be the surprise I had been looking for all year for my husbands birthday. I went to their site and chatted with someone online and asked for Robert to contact me because I did not have his information with me. Long story short, I got my daughter to find it for me and text Robert only to find out that he is no longer working for them. I was a little upset at this point and expressed that to him.Robert said not to worry and he would make a few phone calls and call me back. He did and we could not be happier. We had to travel a bit father than I would of like to, but that kinda worked in our favor. Robert was able work a deal out for me and I was able to do the paperwork via FedEx and surprise my husband and son on Sunday. They had no idea It was wonderful. Thank you Robert even if you do not work for them. I will be calling you for our next car.

Prospective McKevitt Fiat or Volvo Buyers: Steer Clear! Rude, demeaning sales rep, poorly run Dealership...If you do Dont Get Kristean... Long story short, todays escapade at McKevitt was nothing short of a disaster. It all started when the general manager yelled at me, for no reason at all, claiming I made up my annual income and was out to scam the dealership. The sales associate (Christian) yelled at me and ordered me to leave their lot. He then went as far as saying he would call the police if I didnt leave. I was completely taken back by Kristean; especially since this was supposed to be the most exciting purchase of my life (buying a car that I had saved years to pay with cash...) His claims were neurotic and completely untrue. He ordered to see proof of funds; which I showed and he still didnt believe me. At the end of the whole exchange, I felt verbally abused and was completely demeaned. I hope the Owner of McKevitt sees this and follows up with me because at this point an apology is in order. For those of you looking for quality cars I would go to Fletcher Johnson or the Fremont Auto Mall, it will save you the time and their customer service ultimately earned my business. The best part was I called Kristean; back to share my frustrations and he wouldnt even apologize.

Happy New Fiat 500c Owners! My wife has been hinting she wants a 500c convertible for months and months. Our old 1990 Civic was on its last leg so I held out for long as I could but figured it was time so started on my research a few weeks ago. I contacted all 3 Bay Area Fiat Dealers online and all the price quotes I received were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I found Kristean at McKevitt Fiat in Berkeley to be the most easy to work with. He was never pushy and always got back to me promptly. I had a trade in and wanted to do a 3 year lease. Kristean was the only person who took the time to answer my dozen plus emails promptly. Everyone else just kept telling me to come in and wed handle all the details when I was ready to take a car home. I prefer to work everything out ahead of time and Kristean had no problem with that. We handled the credit application and trade in value over the phone and I knew exactly what my payment would be. They had the color combo my wife wanted and it was detailed and ready to go when we arrived to do the paperwork. I love that this place is close to BART so dropping it off for service wont be a problem. McKevitt Fiat gets two thumbs up from our family and if you are shopping for a Fiat in the Bay Area be sure to contact Kristean.

What started as a fascination for FIAT 500e leading me to lease one has turned into a frustrating experience. On the day I picked up the car from the dealership I noticed a crack in the windshield, the Sales and Service staff at the dealership quickly helped schedule the windshield replacement. This is when it was identified that the VIN # of the car I was in possession did not match the paperwork of the car. After corrections to the paperwork on the car lease, I was promised by the dealership that the correct VIN # will be shared with DMV and there wont be any more hassles. After 3 weeks I received the license plate and registration from the DMV and it had the incorrect VIN#. I called the dealership and was told the issue will be fixed, I even opened a case with FIAT to get help. It is over 3 weeks now and no update on fixing the issue. This has become a frustrating experience and sloppy customer service. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue and what was your experience and outcome. Thanks. 7/8/2015 - Still no response to share update on what was done to fix the issue or even a call to apologize for the inconvenience caused by this goof up. Talk about Customer service or lack of it.

Negotiating to buy a new car is a bit stressful but Justin was engaged without being pushy, and it didnt take a great deal of back and forth for us to come away with a deal (on the new vehicle and our trade in 11-year-old MINI Cooper) that we were very happy with. They had no problem with us test driving three different models and stuck around until 7pm on a Sunday to close the deal and get the paperwork taken care of. We settled on a 500c Abarth, and although weve only had it for a couple of days, its a hoot to drive, and more car for the money than a replacement MINI would have been. Knocking off one star for a poor service experience. Took the car in in January with steering problems. They couldnt find anything wrong with it. Gradually got worse until the car essentially became undriveable and they finally discovered a loose bolt. Fortunately I didnt completely lose control of the vehicle on the freeway in the meantime.
