Wow I read some of these negative reviews and it looks like the statements are more personal than professional. My review comes from two different prospectives. I am a longtime former employee, and a customer. First of all let me say that Owner/Manager Fred Jr. is one of the most passionate people I know, both personal and professional. Fred is extremely passionate when it comes to customer service, honesty, and integrity. Freds mission for SWS is to provide an excellent experience for every customer who contacts or comes in the store. Employees are not only screened for knowledge of product, computer operation, but also there ability to patiently listen to customers needs. I know for a fact that poor customer service is not tolorated. Some of these complaints baffle me because it appears they very likely could have been rectified with a little understanding and better communication. My experience shopping at SWS has always been pleasant. Even though I am a former employee, I show patience when entering the store and seeing they are very busy. Employees are trained to make contact with customers, but not smother them into high pressure sales. One persons review noted that he was not being taken care of and noticed several employees were alegedly standing around. Employees are expected to help stock merchandise, and at times they leave the service counters to do so. Its not unheard of to simply ask for some help if you feel the salesman is not currently with another customer. SWS is a full service computer electronics store. Fred Jr. personally oversees the service department, and also constantly reviews products that keep SWS ahead of the curve in an industry that is constantly changing. Although offering his customers products at reasonable and competitive prices is a priority, Fred Jr. also makes sure to quickly cease carrying any products that tend to be cheap quality, with high return rates. SWS is very deserving, and appreciative of your business and they will strive to make sure you are taken care of in a professional manner. Fred Jr. and the staff understand that customers have choices. Give SWS a chance to earn your business, and you will likely become a repeat, or in my case a lifetime customer after you see what a pleasant experience you had.

I had an issue I couldnt figure out myself so I decided to take it to the boys at SWS. They charged me 50$ to figure out what was wrong and give me an estimate of how much it would cost. I ended up doing the job myself after they told me exactly what was wrong. They also cleaned out my PC (it was pretty dusty) and held it for me for about 5 days. Since they did such a good job with my first visit I decided to go in for a quick clean up for another PC I was going to give to my brother. I went in and talked to a gentlemen named Eric. He helped me out with all the questions I had, about building PCs as well as some concerns I had with the PC I took in. He talking me through all my questions and told me if I wanted I could wait for it to be cleaned, that he would get started right away and it wouldnt take long. He referred me to some PCs I could use while I wait in the store (I was able to study a bit). He called me up and told me that my PC was fine and cleaned it all up nice and on top of that added some screws I was missing that if not replaced would eventually cause a problem in my PC, free of charge! I was very happy with this and started to walk out with my PC. At the door I was getting ready to cover my PC with a sweater since it was raining but without asking one of the employees packed the PC in some bags so it wouldnt get wet. I didnt even ask for them but he helped out. I didnt get his name unfortunately but I appreciate the gentlemen with the spiky hair and glasses who helped me. I then got home and tried to do a full system restore on my PC and ended up messing up somehow. I panicked, I honesty didnt know what I was doing, so I decided to call SWS and ask for Eric. Lucky he was there and he called me down and walked me through the whole process on how to reinstall windows. He honestly saved me a great deal of time and money and I greatly appreciate his outstanding costumer service he went above and beyond for me. He walked me through and I was able to fix my computer. He even told me I could call back if anything else occurred with my PC. I greatly appreciate the boys at SWS and highly recommend them. It might be a high price for diagnostic but your paying for quality and efficient work.

I recently landed my first contract to produce CGI visual effects for an actual budgeted and distributed Hollywood movie. This work doesnt make its way to Tucson often if ever, so it was important my career and Tucson in general, to get it right. I web-ordered a high end computer from a out of state and well known vendor that specializes in computers for this kind of work to handle the extreme workloads feature film production puts on machines. Anyway, the machine, which came weeks late, from the other "high-end" vendor blew a mother board after one crashing/freezing week of trouble. The shot were due in one week so there was no time to send it back and make my deadline. I called a big electronics in Phoenix and was put on hold... Then, I called SWS in big hurry and they hustled for me immediately helping me think through all of my options. Computers of my specifications are not often available anywhere in Arizona and never on a moments notice. Two employees from SWS, stood out and stood up to the plate, spending extra time and energy with me, even skipping lunch. The helped me buy and customize one of there Phoenix high-end systems that could handle the workload and deadline. These employees were Vlad Averkiev and Kristian Gonzalez, they knew every part, piece of what I need and they all worked together. Within a two hours I walked out the door with the fastest and most stable computers I have ever used for this work for small fortune less than the VFX specific machine manufacturer charge for the same hardware. This machine is still humming away crunching away at 8 gig VFX files, writing/reading TB sized simulations and rendering feature film quality 4k digital film frames day and night, with not one hiccup. SWS literally saved the day for me. In fact, they helped this major production go out in time as they scheduled editing based on my deadline. I would recommend to any professional doing high end work in Arizona to visit with these guys before ordering something out of state or buying a slick fruit based system for a huge mark up. I have been passing on SWS, Vlad and Kristian’s info to other production professionals and small business startups all week.

My situation is particular, I will say that first. I am sure these guys are the first to go to for parts, networking, and general questions/advice. I had an accident with my laptop and the touch screen shattered. A stupid accident but I can live without a touch screen and replace it myself, which I informed them of over the phone. However, due to being a dufus in general, my hard drive had become irrevocably fd to high heaven. Now, I dont know much about computers. But I do know enough to be able to replace laptop screens and to be aware that, unless the motherboard is fried, a hard drive can be replaced. I took it in for some "professional" advice. It was decided (after having a "professional" in the "back room" take a look at it for a whole 3 minutes), after parading my shattered screen facing every customer in the store, that it was unfixable and that I needed to buy a new laptop. I held my tongue an said, "wow, that really sucks huh?". All they did was try to sell me some device to save my data to transfer to a new laptop. I zipped it up and walked out. Now, in their defense: the store it was bought at under warranty ALSO decided to decline replacement due to "accidental circumstance", which I kind of expected anyway. Now, to their detriment: I took it to a small east side technician(who will go unnamed) who works for a small private shop(which will go unnamed) my family and I have trusted for years to see what we could do. After taking the back off and testing the hard drive he said, "no big deal". A cool $120 later I got my laptop back with no touch screen :(..., but with a FASTER solid state hard drive than what it came with originally. So, SWS. Cheap parts and every accessory you need. But I suspect they generate shop revenue from freaked out college students who know even less than I do about computers. Should you take it there for fixing? I wouldnt.
