I come here at least once a week and I have NEVER experienced such bad customer service in my entire life. My fiance and I bought about 40$ in groceries(wasnt a full shopping trip, just a quick pickup of things we ran out of) and when we picked up everything we needed we went through the self checkout. When we walked up to self checkout there was a long long of people waiting, also 5 out of 6 checkouts were just waiting for the lady to come and type in her password or whatever so it was holding up the line. The lady was chatting with a co worker and was distracted. After noticing that there was people waiting for her she came back in kindly went to each self checkout and assisted all of the people who are waiting for her. And then once a self-checkout opened she told me in my fiance we can go to that self-checkout. My fiance and I go halves on the groceries so I was going to do a transaction and then my fiance was going to do a transaction right after me. My transaction ended up coming out to about $12 and I didnt want to break a 50 or a $100 bill so we decided to just put our groceries together and share the bill and I would give him cash afterwards . We felt rushed by the woman because me and my fiance were trying to figure out the easiest way to pay without having to break my larger bills .After her coming up to us multiple times saying things like Dont forget to scan that, dont forget to scan this I had grabbed a bottle of wine we were going to purchase in scanned it we were waiting for her to come over and assist us for the bottle of wine she came over and told us" do you need me to scan your water for you?" (Which we were going to scan last because it was two heavy crates of water bottles) and also said "you better scan those Dino Bites" (which were the last three things in the cart after the wine). She said "dont ask me for help until you have scanned everything in your cart let me know when you scan everything and then and then call me". Overall she was very rude and my fiance and I deeply felt that she was being racist because she was watching us the whole time when there was at least 20 other people in self-checkout and kept insinuating that me and my fiance were purposely not scanning things that were in our cart. It made us feel very uncomfortable considering I had had hundreds of dollars in my wallet at the time and this lady is working at WinCo. She shouldnt have been judging us by our appearance because it made us feel very upset especially my fiance considering he is obviously Mexican. I asked her her name and she gave me attitude and continue to say her name was Stephanie. We visited the store from about 6 p.m. to 7pm on a Sunday. Do not know if we will come back, what a shame!

I love WinCo because of the prices and the bulk bins but the last couple of times Ive went in, Ive had to deal with rude cashiers. The first time I got to the line and when she was scanning my bulk items I didnt realize I needed the code for the item as it was my first time, (I also assumed shed know the item as Ive got family who works in a store similar to this and she has to know all of the SKU numbers for produce) and so I apologized and repeatedly told her what the item was and so she stopped looking to continue to scan the rest of my items and come back to it. By the time she found it a couple minutes later she kept giving me annoyed looks and having a lot of attitude and then she tossed my item on the conveyor belt. I paid and then just walked away. She didnt tell me to have a good day or anything. Which I thought was so rude. I work in customer service and always try to tell everyone to have a good day even when theyve made me mad or annoyed. My second time, I got annoyed because I didnt realize they didnt accept credit and the cashier got annoyed with me and said we dont accept credit you have to pay cash or debit. It says so right there on the machine. Well I didnt look as I didnt know. But I gave him cash and in my annoyance he asked me if I had loose change as he was too lazy to give me change. By the time I looked and was able to say yes and to give me a second, he had already gotten my change and said nevermind I already cashed you out. Then why not tell me?? I hate the customer service Ive received here and I also dont like the fact that whenever I go there are only two registers open at max. I dont know if Ill be returning

Ive lived all over the country. This is the best grocery store ever! Best prices and selections and great customer service. ..usually. Ive experienced rude workers at night. Not as bad as late night Walmart workers but still. If you dont like working at night find another gig. Its a 24 hr operation! I hope they never change and keep doing what theyve been doing. Whatever their philosophy is, it works. Ive been shopping Winco since they opened in Temecula Ca many years ago. Now I shop in the Surprise Az store but not regularly because its 15 miles away. I only go up there now if I have lots to buy or if Im in the area. One other con is they dont accept credit cards.

We have enjoyed Winco since it opened however this is now the 2nd time we have had worms in our pantry since shopping at winco (never prior to that) weve now been told that it is more than likely the foods we buy from the bins at winco, our (bug guy) says its becoming common as the dried foods etc in the Winco bins contain worm eggs and they hatch in the warm/dry cabinets and we should store our things in the fridge... weve decided to no longer buy the bulk bin foods from Winco

Had everything and nice bulk. AND I mean this in the WORST way possible this place is the Walmart of food, uncomfortable. All red meat was looking on the brink of rotten or not cooled enough or just plain low quallity. Everything else meat wise just looked low quallity. Even some brand packaged red meats looked semi rotten and off color. Draws some serious attention and questions.

My first visit was confusing. The nice aspect was that there are several brands of most products. I did notice a few items that were significantly MORE EXPENSIVE. Then you get to pack your own groceries (nice) while youre stressing about the following customers waiting for your conveyor lane (not nice). I rather doubt that Ill have a second visit.

If you "know your prices" you will find great deals! Their selection of imported cheeses and meats is incredible, and the prices are outstanding. We drive to WinCo in Surprise all the way from Goodyear twice a month because in between the WinCo prices, and the fact Surprise doesnt have a food tax, we save enough money to enjoy a nice dinner out!
