This review is for the training services only. Any other comments on the store is how it affects my experience in training my dog. I have a boxer mix, probably about 9 months old. It quickly became apparent I was in over my head, I had no idea how to train him properly, so I signed up for the beginners class at Petsmart a few months back. The trainer I was paired with, Reba, immediately demonstrated she really cares about the dogs she works with, something I notice every week in one form or another. And the most important thing: I now have a well behaved boxer puppy! I am halfway through the three package deal, and already my relationship with my dog has been transformed. I knew when I got him it would take a lot of dedication and love, of which I have plenty, but it turns out I dont know how to train a boxer puppy. I want to be able to take him hiking, but he got big enough last spring that I couldnt physically contain him any more, and had no idea how to calm him down. Right away Reba spoted the problem and explained what to do. At first it was simply sitting calmly in a room with other dogs. Now he sits when I yell for him to from the other side of the yard. I couldnt be more pleased with the progress of my training at this store. A large focus of the training is that he can do it in public, in a relatively controlled environment. Im 34, not a very large woman. Max is a 50 lbs plus boxer puppy. Reba has taught me how to be completely sure I have control over him in real situations. Reba is teaching us how to do it inside a store where people come knowing that other people have pets there. It is like the dog park, in that people who dont like pets dont go there, but there is an expert on hand, and employees who are pleasant. Plus, while Im wandering around the store practicing with my dog I have the perfect opportunity to find bargains on treats. I usually find some..... In summary, I deliberately chose a breed I could go camping and hiking with, that is smart enough to learn manners in public, and can eventually be a constant companion. I chose well with my dog Max, and the relationship we have developed with Reba is beyond what I ever could have hoped when I signed up last spring.

Horrible experience. Called the grooming department. Wanted to get my pup her nails trimmed and grind. Told me if I was a new customer to bring in her rabie info. I am from out of state so I didnt have the paperwork, however had her rabie shots and last vaccine done at vetco. Ashley over the phone told me to go to vetcos portal and I would be able to get the info they would need. My girl had her rabie vaccine in January of this year. It is stated on the form with the rabie vaccine. When I arrived show them the firm on line. After about 15 minutes I was told that they wouldnt take my girl back as there wasnt an expiration date to tell them whether my girl had received the one year or three. I was turned away. Not only did my gas get wasted in going to them so was my time. There is a rabie received form with the date she received it. That was not good enough. Will not be going to petsmart again. PETCO definitely now has all my business

Sadly disappointed when after picking our dog up from the groomers she looked great and smelled liked feces!??? They tried to say it was her ears that needed to be treated until I had them smell her back and side and they agreed that she did smell but couldnt pinpoint what it was and this is after she supposedly had a bath. Aside from her anxiety every time we pull into the parking lot this is the deciding factor to finally go elsewhere after we just spent $62.00. Oh and when you have said you bathed my dog and she smells like feces I dont expect attitude back when I ask about it.

Very unprofessional. Rachel has a bad attitude. When she took our dog today she said "How is Grumpy"? She did not trim his hair under his chin liked my husband had specifically asked. When my husband picked him up the hair under his chin was not cut. The receptionist said she was at lunch and he could wait. Rachel had him for 4 hrs. already. The comments on his Paw Report which was written by Rachel said "he was rotten but got the job done! "Thank You". Will not bring him back and we have always taken him to a PetSmart. One bad "Apple ruins the cart"!!!

To be honest I was uneasy leaving my dog Duke at the groomers after reading some of the stories on here but, I am absolutely amazed at what a wonderful job they did, Duke didnt come out of the groomers shaking with a panic attack or smelling like he defecated on himself; best part is I am now finally able to play, cuddle, and love my dog without hives :D thank you to the young lady who washed, brushed, and did such an amazing job Briana (I believe was her name). Ill defiantly be coming in at least once a month for both of my dogs

We have had the best experience with this Banfield. We have taken three of our animals there and have been in at least every two weeks for six months now (new puppy, hot spots, etc.) and every visit has been a good one. It is at times busy but if there is an emergency they are always upfront at the reception desk instead of leaving you to wait (like our last vet). Our animals even enjoy the trip, which is saying something.

The groomers are horrible, my dog gets scared anytime he steps through the door. The staff is very rude. An employee held my family member hostage at the register after the grooming to "ensure we would pay". We werent allowed to go shop for anything else until we payed... I am going to take my dog somewhere else to get groomed and I may even switch to Petco. The only good thing about this place is Banfield.

Very unprofessional environment. Poor attitudes of staff. They are openly complaining about customers coming into the store and speaking to one another about what they dislike. Tone of voice and body language with customers was horrible. If you dontike your job please quit, otherwise customers ate what keep you employed, so work on the customer service and professionalism. Thank you.

Took my dogs to get haircut. Waited in line for 10 minutes. Then Petsmart informed me their shots were expired. Granted I should have looked, but so should they. It only takes a couple seconds. Then a large female (person) came into the grooming salon and almost knocked me down with the door. Then she proceeded to crowd in front of me in line. A couple employees were quite rude.

I love getting everything my dogs need here. Associates are always helpful and polite. Only bad thing will never ever take my small dog to get groomed there again. It took 4 hours. For a small dog!!!!! After I got him, he was so scared and slept the rest of the day. And it was like 60$!!!!! The girl with dreads and pink hair mistreats the animals, glad she is gone.
