I came to hobby lobby to purchase some hanging garland and hooks, in order to decorate my patio with faux vines. As I was looking at the hooks, I heard them come on the intercom and announce some kind of code and the section of the store I was in. I selected my hooks and went to look at a few more items, which is when I noticed I was being followed around the store by an employee. I have tattoos, piercings, and a large beard, but have never stolen anything in my life. I was very upset to be profiled and decided to just buy the hooks and leave. When I exited the store, there was a Scottsdale police officer and pavilions security waiting outside. As I had done nothing wrong, the said nothing to me but watched me walk to my car. Luckily the Michaels next door had more attractive garlands at a better price and the associates were very nice and helpful. I will never return to any hobby lobby after this afternoon when I go to return the hooks.

For a faith based organization, be wary of the staff and their attitudes. You may think youre being friendly but if they are not in a good mood it shows! Prices are higher than other stores, and it takes forever to ring up your items since its all done manually. What year do they think it is?

Very helpful staff & @ the checkout you can pull up their 40% off coupon on your cell phone which is great! You can find everything you can imagine there @ reasonable prices. Let your creative genius run rampant here. Love this store. I just wish it was open on Sunday.

I was going to spend my wedding budget for decorations which is equal to about $5,000 at Hobby Lobby. But due to them hating womens rights and the new law that they are "in effect" a religious organization, I will now be spending my $$$$ at Michaels. :)

I enjoy their yarn variety and a couple of other spots... But now that Ive found out their ethics on womens healthcare I will be thinking again when choosing a craft store...Michaels...JoAnns...online for sure!
