I was in your scottsdale quarter store for a 11:00 AM appointment with your geniuses. I had to wait until 1145 before we had gotten any assistance. I was there with my Cousin who was visiting from New York whos family has 15 to 20 apple devices in their house hold. I am an ex Apple Care employee. So i know the exceptions they are able to do. We went to get her IPhone 4 serviced due to WIFI not finding any networks or connecting. The phone was out of warranty which is understandable. I had asked for a customer service exception on getting her phone replaced due to her phone being in out of the box condition. The apple Tech Kelly McDougell had said no and I then asked for a manager the manager that had come to speak to me was Lisa Sanchez. Her attitude and demeanor was very poor and disrespectful. I had her look up my other repairs to confirm that they had granted me these type of exceptions on phones, ipods because she had said that no such exception exist. SHE LIED TO ME BECAUSE YOU HAVE GRANTED EXCEPTIONS BEFORE. She then had the audacity to tell me that the phone was out of warranty and she was unwilling to assist me further and would not even negotiate on price. She then aid that these products break over time so then the commercials and product quality that the apple brand advises the American public about is a lie according to Lisa Sanchez. According to her your products are only able to last a year at most because thats all the warranty covers for. this is ridiculous so thank you APPLE< LISA SANCHEZ AND KELLY MCDOUGELL for ruining my cousins vacation and allowing her to leave your store in tears with out a operational phone. They were unwilling to reactivate her phone after restoring her phone to factory settings. The phone would not activate due to no WIFI connection. I had to spend 1.5 hours of my own time to get her phone working through ITUNES. not only was this abusive to one of Apples customers it went against Apples customer service principals. This was not the ultimate customer experience that was expected from APPLE. After this poor experience I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR PROMOTE THE APPLE BRAND IN MY LIFE. I WILL NOW BE A LOYAL MICROSOFT CUSTOMER BECAUSE MICROSOFT HAS ALWAYS TAKEN CARE OF ME WITH SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES.

this was the 4th or 6th time bringing in my computer in 2-3 months and it hadnt worked for that whole time. The first time I took my mac air in the workers took my computer in the back and then after a while they came back and told me they couldnt fix my computer in store. So , To there suggestion I coughed up the money to replace my 2 year old mac book air. And then they told me they could put my info from my old computer to my new one... so I left my new computer with them for a few days and then they called me and said I bought the wrong computer....how could I have bought the wrong computer !!!the worker helped me out. So I returned that computer and just went with a iPad Pro, coughing up more money. And this whole time my old mac still wont turn on. So I used my iPad Pro for a while but it wont do some things I need for work so I decide to take my old mac in once more and they take it back into the back out of my sight and come back and tell me it wont turn on and something is wrong with the mother board so they show me how much it would cost to replace it and I ask if they can just do a data transfer they say they cant , I go back a different day that week and another worker says they can do a data transfer into a external hard drive that I buy from them... so I buy that and they do a data transfer no problem which I thought was weird that they could do a data transfer without getting my computer to turn on! And then I go into the store last night and the worker right in front of me pushes two or three buttons and the computer turns on!!!!!! No problem he runs a simple diagnostics and says my computers fine just needed that reboot. Well how come I had to spend almost 2000 grand for the mac store to simply push 3 buttons. And I want to know why they didnt try and turn the computer on in front of me before ,what the crap did the workers even do in the back of the store with my computer!! Well needless to say Im pissed that this happens and I wonder how many people theyve taken advantage of there.

I have an older Mac desktop that I took to the genius bar because it would no longer access the internet. With an appointment set up I still waited about 10 minutes for someone to come over. She then did some work to tell me that I need the operating system needs to be reloaded onto the computer to fix the glitch. However, I would need to take my computer home, order an updated OS, and then I could bring my computer back if Id like them to install the OS. I asked if I could just pay the price of the updated OS on the spot and have her fix it without all the extra legwork. Even though they have the OS readily available and she admitted they could easily physically do it, she wouldnt. She could not provide a good explanation as to why theyre not allowed, and it just made everything seem like such a hassle. In checking out some of the newer products the sales staff seemed nice and willing to answer questions. The employee greeting and directing customers at the door was very courteous and offered to help me out with my computer when I pulled my car up, since I had an infant strapped to me, but he also got distracted and the help never came. The impression I get is that theyve become so comfortable in their success that they dont feel as compelled to provide mind blowing customer service anymore. When I bought my computer at Chandler Fashion Square (when it was the only Apple store in the valley) I had never had customer service quite that good. I cant really place it above average these days, which would be a failure compared to five years ago. I still like Apple products but will likely look to use a different store.

After my wife went to Verizon concerning a battery problem on her Iphone 4S. She was told to go to the apple store to get a "fix" or replacement for her phone at no charge to her (They said that it would save her the time of not being without a workable phone.). Her phone would not hold a charge. She was at the apple store twice yesterday and again today, because they said they had to go through some procedures before replacing the phone. None of the procedures worked, and they told her that they didnt have any replacement phones. It would have to be ordered, and they didnt know how long it would take. Her phone is under warranty and insured. They told her to use an upgrade from one of the other phones on the account to go to an Iphone 5. Bottom line, either buy a new phone or use someone elses upgrade or wait an indeterminate amount of time to get the phone replaced. I personally called Verizon, who immediately apologize for the hassle from apple, and at no cost to us at all Fedexed a new phone at their cost without any postage or hassle to us at all. Youll notice that I wont give apple the respect of even capitalizing their name. Verizon was courteous, and stood behind the product without any hassle or "gyrations" on the part of their customer. I find it ridiculous for apple to alienate a customer. Obviously, Verizon did a good job of standing behind a product that they distribute, but dont own. Shame on apple!!!! In the beginning Verizon was trying to help my wife to have the least amount of down time. apple dropped the ball.
