Stay away from Fix and Play if you want to avoid a headache. I took my x-box in because my picture wasnt working. The self-righteous manager goes off on me after he "repairs" it complaining about how I took it to Play and Trade previously and they didnt use his "10 thousand dollar equipment" to fix it. He treats me like Im an idiot for using Play and Trade, and goes on and on about how he used to work for Play and Trade and then decided to open up his own shop because hes just so much better. Only when I got the system fixed at Play and Trade it worked for another 2 years. When I went to Fix and Play it only worked for a week and then started having the same problem. Looks like his 10 thousand dollar equipment "directly from Microsoft" isnt worth the money he paid for it. So I ask him if hell look at it again and fix it, since whatever he did to it when he "repaired" it obviously didnt work. Well of course hell look at it again... as long as I pay to have it repaired again. Never mind the fact that he agreed to repair it and never got it working in the first place. Then he explains to me that he wont give me a warranty because I previously took it to Play and Trade and "everyone else uses hair dryers and glue to fix game systems - and once they do that they ruin the system." Oh really? I told him Play and Trade fixed it before and he knew they used glue and hair dryers on the thing but swore to me that it was fixed now... but now hes telling me that once Play and Trade got to it they ruined it and made it unrepairable? But that of course didnt stop him from "repairing" it anyway and chargin me for it. Oh and did I mention it took them a week to "repair" my xbox after they told me theyd have it ready the same day I took it in? The place is a dump. They do shoddy work. Next time Ill take my system to Play and Trade and let them use their hairdryers and their glue... cause guess what - at least what they do ACTUALLY WORKS. This is the last time Ill ever step foot in Fix and Play. Dont go near the place. Youd be better off dumping your money down the toilet.

I took my nes in for a 72 pin connector to be replaced which they quoted me $25 for. I figured whatever, if itll get me up and running go for it. I brought it home and continued to have problems. I cleaned all the games thoroughly so when I pulled the games out and took a q tip to them, they picked up significant grime. Not to mention the cartridges were oddly difficult to put in and get out, which I attributed to a new 72 pin connector. It never got better or loosened over time. So I ordered a new 72 pin connector from Amazon and took it apart and installed it today. There were a few screws missing from inside the console and once I removed the "new" connector they put in, I noticed many pins were bent and the motherboard contacts were filthy as was the "new" connector. They didnt charge me any taxes so even though they said they were going to replace it, and I paid them $25 to, if it was a new part there should have been tax. Once I installed the new 72 pin from Amazon everything works great and the cartridges do not provide near the same resistance coming in or out. So I wonder then, what exactly did I pay $25 for if you didnt clean anything or replace anything? **Update - Will be going to the better business bureau if they cant take the time to respond. ****Update #2 I also brought in a SEGA Genesis to have repaired that they told me was deader than dead and asked me if I wanted to donate it to them for parts. Well, guess what I just got working this morning after a simple fix? I threw it in storage for such a long time because I figured I was hearing the word of an expert and took their word. This place is a joke and should be shut down. BBB here I come!

Was getting quotes for a repair on a 3ds XL at first was quoted 60 dollars for a top screen repair. When I went in was told it would be 100 dollars to repair. Now if you go to Nintendos site to have it repaired they charge you 80 and shipping and handling to repair the screen. Aside from that purchasing a new screen is roughly 20 to 35 dollars and takes about 30 minutes to do it. So youre paying them 80 to 65 dollars for 30 minutes of work. I wanted someone else to do because taking it apart is simply but assembling back together properly isnt something Im confident in. Im a live streamer and I build computers and a lot of the information they were feeding did not ad up. They repaired a ps3 for me as well that I guess wasnt done properly due to it shutting off after an hour of gameplay or usage. its simply not being cooled enough and you need a "$3000" machine to repair them because youtube isnt right. Granted I never went to youtube for my information on how to repair a ps3 my sources are more reliable than a youtube "how to" over all they were a great place to have things done in the past and very helpful but now a days believe they over charge for soome things not all. purchasing a used 3ds from gamestop is actually a better idea, you can get a 3ds XL zelda edition for the same price they are charging to repair the screen. Just go to the company that owns whatever youre trying to get fixed if anything they will give you a new device all together for cheaper than what this place is offering to repair. I will make a vlog about this and refer people to other sources for better prices and reliable repair and or replacements.

My experience at this store is truly mixed at best. The prices for some games are alright, for example Metal Gear Solid 3 was 5 dollars which was perfectly justifiable. However some games like Shenmue 2 on Xbox was 15 dollars, it did not have the manual nor did it have the green case or even original cover. I was really disappointed there where also a few Gamecube games that had reprinted covers, and talking about the Gamecube the game selection was severely over priced. Games like Wind Waker and skyward sword where more than 50 which i did not agree with especially since the covers were missing. With that being said, several other games had very attractive prices like the previously mentioned MGS as well as Half Life 2 on Xbox. Game selection is limited at best with Xbox and PS2 dominating the store, followed by 360 and PS3 games later by Gamecube. Followed by the more classic games including SNES, NES, Genesis, a small collection of Master System, Atari, and Dreamcast and Saturn games. Aside from video games theres also a lot of DVDs which are also all adequately priced 5 to 10 dollars. Now what about systems, this depends greatly, I personally remembered several system like SNES, Genesis and Dreamcast, in recent times they seems to be gone and is stacked to the brim with PS3s a and 360s along with a lone Super Famicom(Japanese SNES) as well as several Yui Gi Yu cards which i think are personally out of place and take up room but thats just me. SO overall good store some of it stuff is overpriced but with everything else super cheap it makes up for it recommend it especially if you live as close to it as I do.
