Very clean and safe, not like other outlet malls! This is probably the nicest outlet mall I have ever been to. This is odd for me to say, as I am a very picky shopper; I definitely dont settle!!! A lot of the items they had were also in regular stores I have been to recently, so it was like shopping at a regular mall, not an outlet. You cant beat the prices! The Nike store is excellent; they have something for every sport from track to tennis. The Juicy Couture shop was very nicely laid out, as well as the Gap Outlet store and the Old Navy. The Old Navy had many of the items the regular Old Navy store had near my home, but at a sales price. It also seemed a lot neater and more organized than most Old Navys. I didnt find anything for myself there, but I did get some things for my husband. Old Navy is not for women who have a womanly shape, it is more for those that are straight from top to bottom. So ladies, even if you are a size 2, but you have hips and bosom, you might have the same problem as me!! The Liz Claiborne store did seem a little "cheaper" than usual; you had to dig to find nice stuff... but excellent prices! I got a gorgeous snake-skin bag regularly $75 for $25!! When I come back to L.A. (lower Alabama), I will definitely shop at this outlet mall again!

Yearly tradition is to find outlet mall to do all-night black friday shopping with my grown kids. Tanger Outlet Foley has always been one of our favorite ones to shop. We shopped from 11:00 pm until 8:00 a.m. and had a blast! Best stores and customer service were Eddie Bauer, Van Heusen/Izod, Bass Outlet, Gold Toe, Journey Kids, Vanity Fair, Direct Tools, and Crazy 8. Great Deals and Great Customer Service at all of those locations. We were VERY disappointed that some stores were not open passed midnight and that Starbucks even closed then -- how crazy! We had to go across the street to Waffle House for coffee. We shopped at Gulfport, MS outlet one year because all of their stores stayed open all night. There was no info that stores would be closing this year in Foley. We shopped at Polo, Brooks Brothers and J. Crew but customer service was subpar. Deals were good at Brooks Brothers -- but lacking in demeanor. We LOVE black friday outlet mall shopping. We may go back to Gulfport though if stores in Foley close at midnight again. We travel all the way from Jackson MS to find good outlet mall shopping each year. We had a great time continuing our tradition -- Thanks for the memories!

Direct tool offers factory sells returned and refurbished tools at good discount. The however is the stores in that mall are not real outlet stores and prices are imaginary. A cable TV show called Adam Ruins everything did a study with dates of back up info that found the name brands dont make that many things that people dont want or didnt buy at retail stores. The items sold in the outlets are made specifically for them. In some cases the retail store buyers are a separate group of the major brands, not in close alignment of the outlet buyers if they even talk between themselves. Prices in the outlets list prices as compare to, instead of as in our regular store. They would like to sell the compared to prices but the value is not as high as the regular stores. I know some people will read this and say otherwise, however they need to check the web and see the show I mentioned above. Become educated before you say anything. Be smart. Enjoy the outlet stores but remember no one or manufacturer could possibly make that many mistakes in production and still be in business.

The outlets were offering a promotion where if you spent $50 on-site at any store, you could go to the customer service office and show your receipts and get a $10 Tanger Outlet gift card. I completed my purchases and went to customer service. The employee requested my Drivers License. I said I was just there to pick up the gift card. He said "We have to scan your drivers license into our system in order to process the gift card." Im very safe with my personal information, so I refused. I said "The terms and conditions of your promotion say Show your receipt and get a $10 gift card. They say nothing about taking my drivers license number, address, email, and phone number." He said "You can take that up with management." Management was very understanding and gave me the gift card without obtaining my drivers license number. This is very poor form by Tanger Outlets to have an employee not adhere to the published T&Cs of the promotion. Management made it right, but it was a disappointing experience overall.

We visited the Tanger Outlet in Foley AL on August 18. All of the stores were clean and all of the clerks we had contact with were very polite and helpful. My complaint is this: I received a coupon booklet with discounts but most had a high minimum purchase amount in order to use them. I also received some "extra" coupons because I signed up online and these were for 20-25 % off. To my dismay, when I tried to use these at Kate Spade and Old Navy I was informed that the store doesnt honor these particular coupons. Even though the stores were listed on the back of the coupon. I was a bit embarrassed when I was at the counter and thought I was getting 20% off an expensive handbag and had to pay the ticket price. Granted, it was less than regular retail, but I did not get the bargain I thought I was getting. This put a huge damper on my shopping experience and I will not sign up for these in the future as I feel it was a waste of my time.

With so many options of different stores to go to, this is a place for anybody who likes to shop. Everything is pretty much in a big circle with a smaller circle in the middle, all filled with stores. Because it is kind of a big circle, it is sometimes hard to remember where you parked so make sure you take note on which stores are near your parking spot before you take off! The complex is clean and inviting and there are plenty snack and drink machines all around. If you are a little hungrier there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from within a short drive. Most of the complex is covered so you will be in the shade or out of the rain except for the part where you run from you car, seeing how the parking lot isnt covered. All in all, this is a great place to spend the day checking out the stores and shopping around.

I got some great deals but was somewhat disappointed in most of the prices. I found out from one store that they are not a true outlet and that everything they carry is specifically made for the "Outlet" store. If you get emails from the "regular retail stores you can actually get better deals. The overall experience was great. The outlet facility was clean and most of the stores were well stocked with merchandise (just be sure you are getting the deal you think you are.) You could pay to become a member and got a coupon book with some pretty good coupons. Quite a few of them had a long list of limitations however. As long as you know the price the item would be at full retail and know about how often that retailer runs specials you should do fine and get some good bargains.
