St Vincent de Paul does good Im not sure if its just the proceeds that go all to their cause which is giving vouchers for food and providing clothing to those in need. However, besides books theyre way overpriced. Childrens books are $0.50 and regular paper backs are $, but I saw many shirts (that even had rips in them) for $17.99 for example; and that is just way too much for a thrift store. They also had a beautiful table by a local Craftsman but it was $5,000! they do deliver and have a huge showroom of furniture, but in my opinion the furniture was very yucky ...but its there if thats what youre looking for. A lot of okay finds if youre willing to reupholster and refurbish.

I bought my bedding set there before my freshman year at SSU and never experienced any problems with it. They carry many items that I have thought to go back for, but typically do not, such as: fine glassware, old video games, music cassettes and CDs, t-shirts, and books (once passed up a first edition Harry Potter book and discovered it had been sold upon my return!).

Lowest prices on high end furnishing, sometimes fine art, china, electronics. There is something beautiful, or useful every time I visit. Watch for senior discount days when most things are 40% off. I go once a week, have fun shopping, and always find a treasure.
