In the past, I have known about this place for a million years or so, maybe even went in with a friend or two to get some xtra cash from some scrap pieces of gold. I always felt nervous and basically embarrassed to be there, until the present day... When my mom died and i was faced with a ton of responsibilies I couldnt afford to mess up I found myself heading to coin and jewelry ALOT! I can see how the already nervous feeling one may have going into the shop could lead you to think that the guys who run the place are a bunch of jerks. Keep in mind they arent there to analyze your life, they are there to get you thru it, temporarily and of coarse financially. What started for me to be a place I could borrow money to get me thru my tough times, has turned into a place my kid and I turn to not only for a loan but to check in with some of the best "shrinks" in the business. Dont be fooled by theyre "smugness" they just buy and sell a part of your life, on a daily basis and have seen and heard a thing or two from every situation ever known to man. Id be called a lot worse then "smug" if I worked there. Give the people in the front the benefit of (your) doubt, they do it for you, EVERY time you walk in their door. All i got to say about this place is, they saved me in more ways then just with a little $, They are truly invested in my life now (literally) as I feel I am in theirs (literally) I LOVE THEM ALL (For the most part) Give them a chance or better yet, dont! They wont go broke, trust me

I had never been to a pawnshop before and felt nervous but the staff here were so friendly and professional. I just had some old jewelry: a broken chain, old earrings, and a ring from an old boyfriend, and I got over $500! I was just going to throw that stuff out! Im so happy now - I can get my little girl something nice for Christmas. To those people who criticized this place because they didnt pay what the mall "accessed" their jewelry was worth, I say "grow a brain"! Of course they wont pay what you paid at a retail store - the retail store ripped you off. To work that out, look at the price of gold, work out your jewelrys weight, and then calculate how much it actually cost to make your jewelry. I am sure it would be nothing like the mall charged you. I am really happy to have made some extra dollars from my old junk!

I have been going there for years & their professionalism has always been up to par! Now every one expects millions for some thing these guys have to judge by market value & their clear judgement its a BUSINESS and they cannot place value on emotional value! Now I can say all the floor guys are one of the coolest people Ive met and have had laughs always placing my visits on the bright side even if Ive been down & out on my luck these guys make the transaction & outcome always to my benefit where I say I been to many PAWN SHOPS and they are by farthest the BEST HANDS DOWN

I am an experienced coin collector and have bought and sold coins for many years from a number of different dealers. I have never been treated more disrespectfully and rudely in my life than I was when I recently visited this establishment. The owner is obviously intent on ripping off his customers to the greatest extent possible, and is sarcastic and obnoxious. He apparently styles himself a great coin expert, though he knows very little, other than how to be rude to people. Steer clear unless you enjoy being belittled and mistreated.

I went over to this store today in attempt to sell a necklace of mine and I can honestly say that I have never been treated so rudely in my life. They are very smug, and the building smells disgusting and looks dingy. For the smugness they exude, they could actually have a nice establishment to back it up with. The man who assisted me today proceeded to THROW my necklace on his little scale and treated me like dirt. Never go here.

These guys have always been helpful and willing to answer my questions. Their prices are reasonable and in line with major Internet dealers and Ebay. Theyve even beat other dealers on occasion. Maybe the smugness some of the other reviewers are complaining about comes from their reactions to people who dont bother to do basic research on the items theyre trying to buy or sell, in which case youre just wasting their time.

This place isnt for you. Rude arrogant and over priced. Staff have no manners and lead by a half pint who thinks hes superior and Mr know it all. If you want a friendly place to spend your hard earned money and enjoy the hunt as well as the collecting, find another place. If this place was the last coin shop on earth I would quit collecting.

This place will pay you the lowest common value possible. They always try to justify their price they offer by telling you how you overpaid for a designer name for gold, silver, etc. Bottom line is metal id metal and they pay horribly low whether its jewelry or clump of gold. Bottom dollar and thus a cellar rating.

I took some old coins and some small amount of gold jewelry there for appraisal. The were very straightforward about the process, explained how values were assigned, and were very professional and patient with me as a first timer.

wouldnt go here as they rip you off and are pretty smug. changed prices when I started asking questions and they knew I wasnt a sucker. be careful. plenty of reputable coin dealers so dont have to deal with shysters.
