Specialty Pets is great! Ive been there on multiple occasions, and never had ANY problems of any kind. All of the employees are excellent! They know their stuff (about EVERYTHING animal related,) and if they dont know something, theyll find out for you. One time when I was there, one of the customers wasnt sure how to put a product that they had purchased together, so the (only) employee took the time to show the customer how to put the complicated instrument together, piece by piece. Ive made plenty of purchases (food, animals, toys, etc.) and never had any problems. I even had to bring back a small animal once, and they took him back and found a better home for him that same day. No one else can beat their prices. I dont know why you would go anywhere else. They are definitely the furthest thing from "irresponsible idiots."

We bought an acrylic tank that was shipped to us and we followed all directions from a company that was not Specialty Pets; by all means we wish we knew of Specialty Pets located at Nitro, WV before we ever did what we did. We had spoken to Phillip and he sent Dillon to our house to see if he could get our tank up and running. Dillon was so professional, polite and accomplished what he was sent here for. We would like to give them a great big thank you for our appreciation and of course cant wait to visit there location (it will probably be within 24 hours). I am very excited to get our tank decorated and to look for our future fish.

this shop was awesome! they always have something unexpected. i loved the large selection of fish and plants. everything seemed well cared for and happy!!! also this is the first pet shop ive ever been in that didnt smell like a pet shop, no odor when you walk in the door. i would suggest this place to anyone looking for exotics...period.... largest selection in store that ive ever seen in a local shop. very impressed and cant wait to go back.

Awesome staff well worth the drive from anywhere! Fish selection hands down is amazing even if you want something rare they dont have in store they will order it for you. Definitely recommend these guys
