I entered the store looking for a leash for a puppy I was just to pick up from a breeder. It has been awhile since purchasing a leash since my current dog is 12 years old. I kept going back and forth to the different displays trying to pick something that would work for the puppy. There were two sales associates in the store. They totally ignored me the entire time I was there. Never asked if I found what I needed or if I have any questions. Customers entered the store after me and the associates jumped to help them. I moved to another aisle looking for other items and one associate was clearly wandering around with no customer. He still didnt acknowledge that I was even there until I went to the counter. I asked him why he did not greet me when I came in. He answered that he was trying to show a chinchilla. Then the two associates began a conversation with the customer that entered after me and was being helped. They obviously knew that person. I dont often place bad reviews but the salespersons need to be trained in customer service. All customers- not selectively choosing to help who they know and not offer any help to others.

I have been coming to this place for 3 years since I moved to the area. It is one of the only places that I can buy the type of dog food I like. However, I work crazy hours and sometimes get there 5-10 minutes before they close only to grab a bag of dog food and go. Here lately a young man that works there has been shutting the place down 5-10 minutes early every single time I go up there. So not only is it a waster of my time to go there and not get the dog food I need but then I am forced to go to Petsmart to get the kind I need. I called my mom since she also goes there a lot for her 2 dogs and the animal rescue she helps out in and she told me she had run into the same problem. She works an hour away and rushes to get there just like I do at the end of the day. I dont think its right to close early every single day when the sign clearly says they are open until 7. Something needs to be done or I will take my money elsewhere.

We just left Saluda after looking for things for our snakes. Their king snakes water bowl was full of mold and green algae, definitely not cleaned regularly. Dead fish in almost every tank, dead hermit crabs falling out of their shells. The chinchilla is in a wire cage with no hiding spot and exposed to people touching it. I made myself leave when I heard the cashier selling antlers to a customer. Antlers break dogs teeth-Ive been a vet tech for 14 years and have had my own dogs tooth broken with an antler so I learned my lesson the hard way. This pet store was great when it first opened and has gone way down hill. We will not be going back. I urge the management to get things under control and hire knowledgeable employees instead of high school kids. The animals are not properly taken care of. Its pathetic. At this point Id rather spend my money at petco and petsmart.

They carry really healthy dog food here. The Victor brand dog food we buy from here really brought our rescue Shepherd-Collie back to a healthy weight and helped give him an excellent coat! Its a little more than the "big box stores" but lasts us forever because theres no fillers. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, too, always willing to assist! Youre always greeted with smile and genuine hello when you walk in and they even carry the big bags of food out to your car for you! Its a rare level of personal service that you dont often find in todays shops that makes this gem of a store a pleasure to visit.

Very disappointed in the quality of the state of the animals that were being sold. They were all in awful conditions, especially the fish/reptile section. The only thing this place has going for it is the massive amount and variety of pet supplies that can be found there. Hands down the best place for pet supplies, but NEVER for buying the actual pets.

Have any dog food you need. We use Taste of the Wild as my Presa Canarios breeder started him on it and weve stayed loyal, which is only $30 for a 15lb bag here. Very clean, employees are all friendly and the bunny cages and fish tanks are clean and healthy. (doesnt even smell like they have them either huge plus for a smaller store!!!)

We are lucky to have a pet store with this many specialty items. They can order anything you need, if they dont have it. Their dog food selection is great and their prices are usually the same or less than online, discount places.

They have the best brands of pet foods, my dog has food allergies so I always go here for his food. They have great treat selections and you always know what youre going to get. Clean, healthy pets. Never had a problem!! :)
