I visited PetWorld on Sunday 6/26/16 around 12 in the afternoon and was disgusted by the cages the animals were in. The cages with the puppies and kittens were filthy, there were feces and pee in every cage except for one. One dog was actually laying in his own pee and two other cages had diarrhea in them. It was obvious that the animals had not been taken care. There were three employees there, one was stocking shelves while the other two were carrying on a personal conversation behind the counter about how the one women "had to pick up her boyfriend at 3 pm because his license was suspended because of bull$!#*". Not only are they not taking proper care of the animals the are also carrying on conversations like this in front of customers. Also in the reptile area there were also bearded dragons grouped together that they had a sign on the cage that said they can be aggressive. This is not the first time I have been in this pet store and seen improper care for the animals, I hope this review reaches someone higher up and changes will be made. I only gave this pet store one star because I could not post without giving a rating.

People who work there are so rude and dont bother complaining because the boss is rude as well. They had just gotten a shipment of fish in and there were fish in bags on the floor. My boyfriend went to go pick one up to look at it and a guy name chris said dont pick them up, took the fish and set it on the shelf. Thats fine but then when my boyfriend asked him a question on what type of fish it was he completly ignored him and walked off. If you dont want people picking up your fish that are sitting all of the floor then have a sign. I get it, when you have a shipment come in it can be stressfull but theres no reason to be rude, thats how you lose customers! Wont be going back to stoor and dont recomend going there. There was one lady who was nice everytime but it sucks that other people have to ruin it!

I love this store the animals are lovely even though the people can be rude at times but the animals are very clean and dont smell.Like most animals do in pet stores.But one day as i went in the store their where about 4 girls together about 12 years old .This one girl went to pick up a dog but she dropped the dog luckly she did not drop the dog high enough to hurt the dog. As she went on to pick up another dog thats a puppy takes the puppy up to her shoulders SHE DROPS HIM the dog screams so please make sure you keep track of you children and make sure they know how to hold a dog the correct way without dropping them,Its nice the store lets us hold the dogs i dont want to lose the privilege of that because of parents not teaching their children not to respect dogs.

I bought a bearded dragon here on Saturday. I knew he wasnt well when I purchased him, yet the employee never said anything to me. He didnt even care or tell me how to take care of it he just sold him to me. I paid $214.00 for a sick, malnourished animal (and yes, that is a discounted price!). I took him to the vet that Tuesday, and he was severely underweight at about 200grams. Full of worms. This place doesnt know or care about the care and well being of their animals. If you buy your feeders, animals, fish, or puppies from here, DONT! TAKE THEM TO THE VET, and find another pet store! My bearded dragon got to know love for the first time in his life for the week he was here. Dont set yourself up for heartbreak. Buy from a breeder.

Visited on 12/19/15 went to see the guinea pigs. We saw this adorable Abyssinian, she didnt try to run at all when I petted her so I picked her up and noticed she had nails about 3 inches long, was losing her hair and had pea eye. When I had mentioned to the clerk that we own four guinea pigs and that our vet says its not good to have that long of nail or losing that much hair, she responded with "oh thats the one somebody left in a box on our door step yesterday." Why would you put a potentially sick (by her looks deathbed) guinea pig out for sale for $37.99? This poor guinea pig never walked or made a noise when we touched her. Upon receiving her they should have immediately got her to a vet not try to sell her.

Love this place. They sell puppies from local, trusted and established breeders. The staff has always been uber friendly with me and my child....who likes to pet everything in the store. The place is clean, clean, clean and does not smell like dog piss, unlike some other puppy places. Im on the hunt for a puppy to purchase and the staff was extremely helpful in finding the right dog for us. So a year later now in 2017, we found our puppy! A beautiful, healthy, well adjusted yorkiepoo. Shes been a wonderful addition to our family and my daughter just adores her. The staff at PetWorld was wonderful through the entire process!

Been a customer for years, however will no longer go back after last trip. The prices on dog food not great, they raised there price and the number of bags to buy to get 1 free was 10 now is 12 and I was at my 10th bag. So not only paid more but could not get my free bag. Thats bad business, and wil cost them more by ripping there customers off. IF THEY WANT TO GO UP ON THE AMOUNT OF BAGS YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE TO GET 1 FREE, THEY SHOULD WAIT UNTIL YOU START OVER!! SO NOW I HAVE TO BUY 2 MORE BAGS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. THERE LOSS OF $50 - $100 A MONTH. WHAT A POOR BUSINESS DECISION ON THERE BEHALF!!!

We went to find a bird, we went to PetSmart, petco and pet supermarket. When we went in to get our new bird "Ember" we didnt initially see what we wanted. A very nice last asked us if we needed help. I asked specifically for a lovebird. They had one just out of the nursery. We are super excited. He is beautiful and sweet. The people in the store were even carrying him around in the store while they had him. So when we got it him he was more used to people. We are so very excited and the people were awesome.

***LOVE PET WORLD*** Best Pet Store in Florida!!! Worked at Pet World 2001-2002 before I left for College. It was my Favorite job. I can honestly say that they take Ultimately the BEST CARE of their animals Out of Any Pet Store. Cages are Cleaned Very frequently. All Animals received proper Nutrition and Care. No animal was ever neglected. The Veterinarian is Extremely thorough Health Examination. Support Your Locally Owned and operated Pet Store

Stopped in looking at goldfish. Saw multiple tanks with very bad ich- large comets just bobbing around all covered with it. Several other tanks had dead fish, tons of cloudy water- I really dont understand how a pet store can look like this, very disappointed. When I told the girl behind the counter there were sick fish she said " I know thanks!" like I was joking...Obviously the employees have no knowledge about their animals and proper care.
