If you are considering signing for an account with iaai to bid on cars take me adice and dont do it. The insurance Auto Actions is not a business to trust or seek support when you need it. They are not gonna help you with anything. All iaai cares about is your money and they are known to be very greedy and unscrupulous with various dishonest tactics and schemes to get you to pay money, and a lot of it. I made the mistake of becoming a iaai member almost a year ago. And to this day I regret it. I shouldve sticked with Copart. Copart are far better and have good customer service and can actually help if you ask for it. Not iaai. The schmucks working for iaai dont give a rats asss about you or your problems. First off, if you bid on a car and win it, prepare to pay up to 100% more on top of the winning bid with all kinds of outrageous fees. Unlike Copart, at iaai you will pay tax after all the fees are added. At Copart you only pay tax on the bid amount. The buyer fee at iaai is a lot higher than Copart, so even if you iniatially thought you got a deal on a car you just won after you receive the invoice with the amount to bve paid your smile will immediately disappear. Then there is the storage fee scheme. Its their biggest rip-off. Copart will charge you only $20 a day and will not charge you for weekends or holiday. The fraudsters at iaai will charge you almost $30/day for evry single day weekends included. Why? Cause they are greedy bastards. Remember I said they dont care about you? They attempt to squeeze as much money as they can out of you. This company is a RIP-OFF. Oh, I forgot. If you bid on ca ar online youll pay up to $70 extra for that. They fancily call it "internet bidding fee". I dont get it. Are they losing any money or does this rase the cost of operation if you bid online? Of course not! Its a way to get you to pay more. The outrageous buyer fee and loading fee were not enough. Again iaai knows how to trick you into opening your wallet and paying them more and more every time you dont pay attention. I have yet to get a deal on a car. None of the cars I bought at iaai so far were worth the money after I paid through my nose with all the fees added. I could put up with their ridiculous buyers fee but why charge me almost $30 a day for storage and for all the weekend days? Wasnt one day enough? Copart never did that to me. They never charged me for weekends. Yeah, try talk to them. Even the manager at the Tukwila location didnt give a damm when i complained about such injustice. Nahh, I am sick and tired of these idiots who dont care. I made a promise to the smart-ars lady manager at the Tukwila iaa that I will not renew my account if I am charged storage for weekends and will not pay the $200 annual fee. I can do better things with that money. I advise anyone to stay away from iaai Insurance Auto Auctions. You dont waana deal with fraudsters. If you really feel the need to buy a car at an auction you will be better off getting it through Copart. Copart are just as much a bunch of sorry-arsses big money operation but they are not as greedy and unethical. In other words if you want to know what its like to be ripped off and kicked in the stomach go with iaai. Trust me. Save your money and dont lose your mind after some junk that you could easily find on craigslist for a lot less money. And with a clean title.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are soooooo rude there its unbelievable. Literally was told by a girl there, I think her name was Sara as thats the name on my fax sheet that came from them, that "Um are you going to listen to me?" "Are you going to let me speak now or do you want to hang up" and was told I was rude all because I told her I already faxed them the parking ticket. I couldnt believe the attitude it was completely obnoxious and disrespectful I cant even reiterate it correctly it was just so rude, honestly never been talked like that by an employee before in my life, it was ghetto and unneeded. It seemed as if she just wanted to fight with someone and it didnt matter what I said. Management should take care of this as I see its been said by almost every other reviewer on here. And on top of it I was transferred three times by all rude people and this was just because I needed them to fax the new owner info to the municipale court for a parking ticket I received for a car i sold to them 1 years ago, which by the way they refused to do at first. I am very concerned there is illegal and fraudulent business being done here so Im in the process of talking with my uncle who is a lawyer for the pentagon, I plan on reporting them to the court and to better business bureau. So these people should really learn respect because they messed with the wrong family

Not the best communication when you call them, but the ladies in the office were VERY nice, and even helped me with tracking a car that was on its way to the yard via flatbed, by calling dispatch and even the driver himself. The guys in the yard were accommodating beyond expectation, even though they were scheduled to be closing at the time that my car arrived. The car is part of an insurance investigation and I needed to film them unloading it at the site. They worked with me and everyone I talked to was super friendly and ready to help. They thoroughly explained how the car would be "held"until the insurance company released it, and assured me it would be off-limits to everyone. If they found a way to communicate more effectively with people regarding cars being towed from non-affiliated impound yards for insurance claims/investigations, then I would give them five stars. I had to make multiple calls to ensure that I was contacted when the car was going to be towed, and the call center personnel were rather rude. They REALLY pressured me to release the car before the engineer had completed his investigation, and then once I did, they took an extra day to get the car. A "hurry up to wait" scenerio that cost me a day of work.

I personally havent experienced IAA like other people on this review list have, however, I found that the customer support through a woman named Nancy was superb, she was on point, responsive and very thoughtful about my questions and I was able to get what I needed within five minutes. But because I havent actually bought anything at IAA I cannot give them a full 5 stars, although if their service was even half as good as Nancys then it is fully deserving of 5 stars.

10 years I buy cars from IAAI, but after 2014 , 99% of my biussnes i took to Copart because its redicules all day waiting for ur car , at Copart 15-20 min you gone with ur car. At IAAI if you get lucky 3 hours minimum wait for ur car. If you call carhaulers to pick ur car or tow company , they hear IAAI Seattle answer hell NO. I like Nancy she is the best there, i will miss her but for now on i will stick with Copart.
