This is THE best Optical shop I have every encountered. They get a six star rating , if there was such a thing. I just picked up the third pair they have made and they have all been great. I am a person with numerous serious eye diseases so my recommendation really counts! They have a huge selection and all of the frames are delicious. Nicole and Cindy are super nice and Nicole has the best eye for finding frames that suit me. I have a strong prescription and the high index is too expensive for me; yet they were perfectly willing to accommodate me and grind the lenses with polycarbonate plastic. Because I chose polycarbonate over high index the glasses were ready in an hour and a half!! This is unbelievable, I am used to waiting at least a week. I tried on many, many frames and Nicole took photos on my digital camera so I could see what I looked like. I have had my new glasses for 3 days, and they are my favorite glasses of my whole life! (and I started with glasses in the third grade and now am in my 50s). I cant recommend them highly enough and their prices are much more reasonable than Lenscrafters!!

Refused to fulfill a prescription for reading glasses that was only a few months old, even though I became disabled and couldnt come in for another appointment. I had bought a $600 pair of regular glasses before the disability, which they refused to fix, even though its a minor repair, advising us to go across town to Ballard for the minor repair. I am homebound and my wife is about to undergo extensive radiation treatment and they could have made things easy on us but refused to help with an insignificant problem no matter how little effort it would have taken. (Also, they originally argued with me about which frames looked right when I was pretty sure what I wanted.) I want to recommend this place -- great location, they do work quickly, pleasant otherwise -- but they just dont seem to have their heart in pleasing customers and solving problems for them. Very disappointed in my recent interactions with them and will be seeking new glasses elsewhere when I am able to.

I dont understand the complaints about this place or Dr. Tom. I have had my eye exams and purchased glasses (at least 5 pairs) at Davis for years (more than 10) and have never had a problem. Never. Dr. Tom is very kind, has a good sense of humor with a professional attitude, answers all of my questions, and, if I cant decided "which is better, 1 or 2" I say "again, please" and he will go back and forth until I choose, or both of us say "there isnt any difference."

I have gotten glasses from Davis Optical several times and have always been pleased with there service and quality. My current frames have been through hell and back and still look great. I have taken glasses there to get repaired on several occasions and after they feel like new. Tom, the owner, has always been very helpful. The exams by Dr. Tom were excellent. He was very patient and answered all my questions. Cant beat new glasses in 1 hour.

Ive been getting my eye exams, glasses and contacts from Davis Optical for years. I have been very happy with their service and quality. The ladies at the front desk are very helpful finding the right glasses! They have a great selection of name brand frames...and where else can you get your glasses in an hour. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

After my Mothers glasses were stolen while visiting from out of state, the staff at Davis optical went out of the way to help her get a pair of glasses quickly. The staff was exceptional and made a stressful experience more bearable.

The Dr. is very professional. The receptionists are super nice and helpful in helping me find the perfect contact lens and glasses. They always go out of there to help me with my insurance problems.

I only had to pay $80 dollars and wait 3 hours for a pair of glasses but when i got them looking at things straight on was fine but things in my peripheral vision were somewhat warped
