I have been going to Columbia Vision Center since it opened and have never had a bad experience in all the times I have been coming here. I have seen some of the bad ratings about the front office staff and am not sure what to think about them as I have never experienced any unprofessional or unfriendly behavior. I see Dr. Hua for my annual exams and I buy my contact lens and glasses here as well. The annual exams are great because she has the newest equipment which means no "puff of air in the eye" test (which I hate) and no dialation which is fantastic when having to return to work after the appointment.I have a hard time speding a lot of money on glasses as I wear contacts most of the time but I knew I needed some new glasses and wanted to get some cool stylish ones. This place has a great selection of frames and I have never seen anyone else wearing the ones I have which for some reason makes me happy. Anna helped me pick out my new glasses and she was very patient with me. After having my heart set on ones that Anna pointed out were not shaped right for my face, I deferred to her professional opinion (after I spent several minutes pouting like a petulent child) and began looking for another pair in their selection. Anna must have pulled out over a hundred different frames for me to try on and waited patiently as I hemmed and hawed over them. With her help I found the right shape with the little extra style design that I wanted. They are perfect and I get comments on them everytime I wear them. They also will ship your new contacts to you if that is more convenient for you! I highly recommend Columbia Vision Center!

The eye exam I received was prompt and thorough. Dr. Hua explained each part of the exam carefully and I feel confident she knows what shes talking about. After the exam, I did feel a little rushed into buying a pair of glasses. Ive bought glasses there before. They do have a cool selection of frames, and the staff is really helpful in making suggestions, but the prices are high. They did take the time to walk me through my insurance coverage, which was very helpful, so I knew exactly what I would be getting in to. As I said, I have bought glasses there before, and theyre great about servicing glasses after purchase. I came in about a week after my initial purchase to check the fit and they took the time to really sit and adjust them (and re-clean them) for me. They definitely offer a lot of personal attention, which is great. The only drawback is the price of the lenses and frames. Its a downtown location, so its to be expected somewhat, but there was still a little sticker shock. In the end, Id recommend the service there, and Dr Hua for the exam. For glasses, theres a great selection, its just a little more expensive than other places.

This company is not to be trusted. They knowingly submit fraudulent claims. I stopped by to look at frames and wanted to know what the cost was. It was expensive but not overly priced. I asked if they take American Express and they said no, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. I went to another optometrist that takes AMEX, when they submitted the claim it was denied. Columbia Vision Center submitted a claim and took the money! I had Regence Blue Cross call them on a three-way line and they first said there is no one to talk to, then they said there is an office manager. She stated that I have the glasses, when I told her I never ordered glasses, she said “Oh, I see, we made a mistake.” Regence asked for them to send the money back. She said it would be processed and takes 2 weeks. This company is not to be trusted and should be avoided.

My experience with this office leaves me a $300 conundrum to deal with because I had my lenses done somewhere else. I presume all these good reviews stem from the automated rating email the office sends after the office visit. Let me be clear, only the vision in one of my eyes changed, a little bit, and not since 2008 Most expensive first: 1. 2 lenses in glasses that are wrong because she wrote the prescription wrong. 2. Requested a copy of the RX 3 times and every time it was different 3. Contacted them for another exam because it was obvious the sample contact was really wrong. 4. She wanted to investigate the contact fitting -- I said no, re do the exam. I cant believe she wanted to attribute a clear vision error with a contact. Im 36 and wearing daily contacts religiously since 24.

I like the selection of frames offered by Columbia Vision Center, which trend very stylish as compared to a big box like Costco or chain. So if you looking for something more unique this is the place. For an exam, I do enjoy the staff, they treat me like they see me all the time and it is yearly or so. Very flexible hrs and good location. It is a more intimate relationship with clients as opposed to going to other stores that either have a take a number approach or not that interesting in service. When I was there they did a free adjustment for a walk in, very nice customer service and selection of glasses.

Excellent place to get an eye exam! Fast, friendly, and a great location! Best of all, 6 months after my appt @Columbia I was ordering glasses from a cheap, online site and I was in need of my prescription. I e-mailed Columbia and asked if I could get my eyeglass prescription. I assumed that like other places theyd make me come to their office to get the prescription, and try to convince me to purchase glasses from them. However, I was most pleasantly surprised when, less than 4 hours later, I received a response via e-mail with my official eyeglass prescription AND my contact prescription attached!!!

Dr. Hua and her team are wonderful. I go out of my way to come here because the service is spot on. Two personal anecdotes of how CVC impressed me: 1. I am in love with the frames I got here! Anna patiently helped me pick them out as I tried on more than 10 different pairs. When I found the design I liked but they didnt have the color I wanted, Anna brought me her own pair to try out (because, good taste). 2. They made it super easy for me to purchase a years supply of contract lenses over the phone, and had it ready the same day for my husband to pick up on his way home from work. Definitely recommend!

I have been and will continue to be a very pleased customer of Columbia Vision Center. From the day it opened to its present location; Columbias staff have offered a great selection of services & frames from which to choose. You truly get what you pay for; in this ever growing economy of buying it cheaper off the Net somethings you just need a personal touch. Columbia Vision Center; from Dr Hua to Anna to the rest of the staff - they are a wonderful group to deal with. Always pleasant & friendly.

I have been getting my glasses and prescription sunglasses at Columbia Vision for several years. The doctor is thorough and explains everything. The staff is great and particularly helpful in selecting a pair of glasses and the selection is good. I always get compliments on my glasses. I cannot say enough about the service here. I no longer work in the Columbia Center but I keep coming back to Columbia Vision. I recommend it highly.
