I tried to install new RAM in my computer and my system went into a boot loop. I tried following a few instructions online and they suggested resetting the CMOS. I tried this, it didnt work and I took it to Computer Love on the suggestion of my friend (They replaced his busted motherboard). They performed the same CMOS reset in front of me when I dropped it off, and that did not work. I left it with them on Saturday and they came back next Thursday saying that CMOS wipe fixed the problem and increasing the RAM voltage in BIOS (which I told them had to be done with the new RAM). This seems pretty long for fixing such a simple problem. They also said that Windows did not boot and they might charge more to fix that. It turns out that the boot order was messed up and this confused Windows(Literally the first youtube video I searched for the error fixed it in a couple of minutes). Overall, if you dont want to touch your motherboard, Computer Love maybe good, but Im sure they can do a better job.

It was like taking my computer to a friend. I walked in, terrified that the screen on my macbook suddenly went black and stayed comatose after every reset attempt under the sun. The owner heard my story, diagnosed the issue before all of the words were out of my mouth, and was online looking into the best way to handle the situation. Turned out my specific laptop was blessed with a bad graphics card- an issue that affected all of the macbook pros for a 6 month period back in 2012- and Apple is having the company that made those cards cover the cost of a complete logic board replacement. Essentially, with only my best interest in mind, the owner sent me out the door with instructions to go directly to Apple to get the repair done for free which would have meant a $300-500 repair job for Computer Love. Doesnt get much better than that. Thank you guys enormously for this, your honesty and willingness to truly of help speaks volumes about how you run your business. Cheers to you.

If you need data recovery, maybe this is the place for you. If you need real help, do not bother. Four days and five trips to their shop and neither of these two guys bothered to listen to what I said was the problem. I wasted so much time and energy here the refund cant even begin to make things up to me. And the rudeness when it was all over... Im the customer pal. When I call you and tell you that youve wasted my time, the only words out of your mouth are, "Im sorry. Youre right. A phone call could have solved this." In the end, you couldnt fix the problem, though you claimed you worked on macs. If youd run the test on day 1 that you should have, we could have spared each other a lot of headache. And you wouldnt be facing a 1-star review. I will never shop here again.

Yes, indeedy, they did get my computer screen from out of the black and showing the desktop. Unfortunately before going in, I didnt look it up online because the next time this happened I found in 5 minutes the solution online. What "Computer Love" did wrong, was, without asking me, to remove my Norton Security System, to which I had recently purchased a new subscription, and Computer Love installed "Avast" in its place, telling me Norton slowed down my computer.... Now I get pop ups from Avast constantly, tricky ones that i have to read, trying to get me to "Upgrade." No, I wont be returning to Computer Love ever again.

This place is amazing. Great A++++ service and prices are wonderful and fair. The owner even walked me through a few things over the phone to help me out before I brought it in at no extra charge. Work was quick. My macbook works great and I couldnt be happier. You should go here for computer services, you wont be disappointed. I talk to someone almost weekly about this place and I was there once about 7 months ago. Youre missing out and paying more by not coming here. On Monday morning, Matt responded to the email I sent early Sunday morning, quoting me a very reasonable price for installing a new keyboard both labor and parts. I showed up on Tuesday around noon with my laptop and the new keyboard which I already owned. He installed it for the price he quoted for labor, and it was ready before noon on Thursday. Great service, very reasonable prices, and a nice guy. Im glad both be and his business are in my neighborhood of Capitol Hill.

I highly recommend Matt at Computer Love. Ive had two experiences there with two computers, which were both positive. I find him to be really upfront, and he doesnt do any pushy sales stuff. His rates are surprisingly reasonable for the heart of Capitol Hill. He charged nothing to diagnose my computer. Fast turnaround, too--my computer was restored in 24 hours. I am not particularly computer savvy, and he did not talk down to me or make me feel like an idiot ;)

The staff has always been friendly and are willing to answer any of my computer questions (no matter how simple they might be). really great person. I checked in today evening for my laptop shutting down suddenly by heat. He sprayed near Air out part of the laptop and asked me to comeback if I find issue with cpu fan.Like a magic it cooled down no hot air no csgo competitive cooldown now..Thank you computer love.He didnt even charge me. respect to you sir..

Brought in a new laptop, ram, a harddrive, they installed the add-ons for $50. A few weeks later the extra hard drive stopped working, they took it, fixed it, added some foam around the hard drive so it wouldnt move around and get loose again. They were responsive, polite, did good work. 10/10 would return.

I highly recommend Computer Love. They were able to diagnose my laptops problem within a business day and the diagnostics were free. The owner is direct. Hell give you an honest, knowledgeable opinion and not waste any of your time or money. Computer Love is your best bet for quick, no-nonsense service.

Unlike local competitor, which wanted $50 just to look at my laptop, Computer Love offers a free initial diagnostic. In my case, this told me that the failure of my USB port problem was most likely a motherboard, which would have cost more than laptop cost to begin with ($250). HIghly recommended.
