Summary (TL;DR)- Buy from a brick and mortar Microsoft Store and you will be placed in the hands of some of the best reps out there, but no matter what you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THE ONLINE MICROSOFT STORE. Some of the most friendly and communicative reps I have seen since a long time, which drastically overshadows the few errors they make in the specifics for deals available in the store. Im knocking off 3 stars for a suggestion I followed- buying from the online MS store, which I did and have had the pleasure of dealing with a different set of reps who unlike this store seemed to have stemmed from the bowels of hell itself, with 1> consistently providing wrong delivery dates, 2> stalling (for 15-20 minutes per question), 3> refusing to allow communication with someone who can assist with my order which was placed with express shipping not even being shipped a week after being placed, and 4> suggesting waiting for 24-48 hours for a specialist to get back to my case (didnt do so even after 3 days past the day the specialist himself said he would). 5> false assurances of "personally monitoring" my case (4 agents have told me that, which means they will get updates about whats happening, but nothing more)

I have attempted to have a good customer experience 3 times now at this store. I often precede my visit with the trip to the Apple store first. Then I mosy over to compare the experience. I was not greeted at the door each and every time Ive come in. Once, my son and I attempted to use the Wii but had trouble and no one came to help even though we stood looking and raising our hands. My son even jumped up and down to get attention. Another time, I asked someone for help as Im in the market for a new desktop. I waited 20 minutes and no one ever came over. The store wasnt even that busy. When I walked out, 2 door workders in their 20s were busy talking to each other and didnt even acknowledge me. Im bummed because Im a PC user and really want to continue to like Microsoft products but I increasingly find I rely on Apple more and more and because of the customer experience I am likely to keep moving into their camp for products.

I am a current Apple Macbook Air user and decided to switch to the new Surface Pro 3 because of its new features. Purchased a Surface Pro 3 last 6/20/14 when it released and two days later, it wouldnt turn on after a full nights charge and day one update. Returned the tablet to the U Village store and spoke to the lady manager named Danielle. She made it appear that it was highly unusual and suggested that it does not ever happen. Gave me a replacement unit and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. She did not even reassure me that this would not happen again. Needless to say, I am not impressed with their customer service and support. I am now worried that my replacement Surface Pro 3 would do the same thing.

I must have had bad luck and got service from a friendly but not knowledgeable person. I brought my unopened Surface to buy Complete Protection as instructed by Microsoft Help. The salesperson took my money. took my email address and was told thats all I needed. I asked how was the protection going to be applied and was told since they have my email address thats all. Havent received any emails from store. Now Im trying to get the protection applied over the phone and thats taking over a week and still waiting for resolution. Not convenient for me to go back to the store . Definitely a training issue for an employee.

The worst thing about this location is the crowd and parking kerfuffle that happens. Once you are parked, it doesnt even seem like the restaurants here are that great. So come here to shop, and leave to eat. This was exactly what I expected from a M$ retail store. It has a look like a the new interface of windows 7. It was cleanin a darker side of the apple store kind of way. I couldnt help but compare them. Their employees were modeled the same way, however they are selling 3rd party hardware except for Xbox stuff and then software. It was like a the best part of Best Buy, but in a more manageble way.

Had a screen that cracked on my Surface Pro 3, that I bought from this store. I had bought coverage, but they couldnt find it. After a lot of problems on their end, they offered me a brand new Surface Pro 4 without any charge. On other occasions they have been extremely helpful, including replacing a broken pen. HOWEVER DO NOT buy your computer ONLINE. My sister had worse problems with her Surface Pro 3 that she bought online. She doesnt have a local store and online support has never fixed her ongoing issues. Shes spent so much money trying to solve them. But this store is GREAT.

My experience with this Microsoft Store has been great until I went to upgrade my Windows 8 laptop to Windows 10. I was told by one of their agents that this process will take up to 2 days and then I will be called to come to pick it up. Unfortunately, that was in the case and in fact I waited 4 days and didnt receive any phone call from them so I myself called and asked about it! The shocking thing was that they told me they havent yet started working on it!! So I decided to come to the store and pick up my laptop without even upgrading it because I had work to do!

Thank you too Annie who works at the Microsoft store and Stephanie as well for coming up with a solution to a problem I was having. I was having to leave the country in two short days for a family emergency and I needed to start Surface RT Chargers in order to Skype in the classes that I was going to be missing for almost a month. With their help I was able to get what I needed in order to not miss any of my classes. Thank you so much it was a total Lifesaver I couldnt believe the level of customer service satisfaction that I was given here.

Calling the Windows Store is a throw back to customer service inadequate levels that existed in prehistoric times. You are held forever on a message that loops endlessly with horrible repetitive music and sell, sell, sell messages. While other retailers let you know how much time you have to wait and have call back features, MS has not caught on with the modern age. It makes one want to go to a competitor store or switch to another computer company. Horrible service frightens one from buying their products.

I went to the store without an appointment and was scheduled 45 minutes later and glad to have it. When my appointment time came, there was no record of it, other people who had just arrived were seen and worked with in a cheerful, helpful manner. I finally relayed my displeasure to the tech at the table, who gave me the most cursory and non attentive directions while he worked on his computer. I have been to this store before and this was not indicative of the previous informative and helpful visits.
