Warning: this is going to be a novel. A couple of months ago, my cat spilled a full glass of water onto my laptop keyboard. I naturally panicked, turned it off, turned it over, dried it off, everything "they" say youre supposed to do. I left it upside down, off for days and tried to turn it back on. It turned on, but the fan sounded super loud and the trackpad wouldnt work. I turned it off just by pressing the power button - it didnt need me to hold it down, it was so done with me. I had to travel for work, so a couple of weeks later I brought it to eBits for a $50 diag. They got back to me after a couple of days saying they needed to replace the keyboard/trackpad and would clean the water/corrosion off of the interior, including the logicboard, for $250 total ($200 at the end because they subtract the diag fee), which I agreed to. All of this was done over the phone - I recommend that the consumer request that they email the details that they just agreed to, and I also recommend that the company start emailing their customers details of the agreement. This is where things got dicey. I was told theyd have to order the keyboard so it might be a couple of weeks but hed call me when it arrived and then hed call later when my laptop was ready to be picked up. A couple of weeks pass and I dont hear about the keyboards arrival, till one Sunday I get a call that my laptop is ready to be picked up. I walk to the store and see that Ive been charged $500. Naturally, Im not willing to pay double what I was quoted. I dont get to leave with my laptop, and Im of course confused and irritated - Im a grad student with limited money but great laptop need. A few days go by playing phone tag with the technician I originally talked to, with managers trying to tell me through the technician that I mustve been confused (this did miff me a bit) or that they could take off the new keyboard but then my computer would be functionless. At one point they told me that they hadnt put the new keyboard on but they did have it in stock so they could just not put it on for me until I approved the $500 charge - but, mind you, I had seen the new keyboard installed on my laptop that Sunday and I had had to wait for them to order it, so it was never "in stock" until I visited the store. Finally I talked to the acting assistant manager who explained that they had needed to replace a part of the logicboard - something I was never told and was never asked for approval on, even though they had record of my "approval" during the couple of weeks I was waiting to hear about my keyboard - in addition to replacing the keyboard. He took off all labor-related fees so I ended up only paying for the hardware, which I do appreciate. The whole time I was trying to be very understanding - I mean, I understand that there are costs related to this technicians mistake that need to be covered by someone, but I was just not willing to take on all of those costs as the customer who was "guaranteed" to pay the quoted price. I ended up still paying almost double my original quote, so their 5-point price guarantee is definitely not a guarantee and I recommend to both sides of these transactions to get everything in writing. Especially since I was never asked for approval of the logicboard replacement. However, I still give these guys 4 stars. The technician was great and very apologetic during the whole process, despite miffing me off a bit by trying to appease me with fibs. The acting assistant manager was absolutely awesome to talk to, actually explained things, and worked with me on the pricing finally. They ended up fixing my computer, like hello thats great. I ended up getting a fixed logicboard and keyboard for, quite honestly, a price that Apple or anyone else wouldve gouged. The owner was even nice enough to throw in one of those phone battery packs for free, which I truly appreciate especially since its a $30 value. All-in-all, I would absolutely take my gadgets to these guys again - but, I would demand to have everything in writing!

I went to this place thinking that it would be cheaper than sending my laptop out to geek squad or something to get it repaired. Boy was I wrong. A DC Jack repair was what I brought my laptop in to get repaired for. I was told it was going to be around 100 to 150 dollars to get replaced. As I talk to the guy in the store, he seemed like a very knowledgeable person so I believed him and dropped my laptop off and gave him the okay. After they diagnosed my laptop, I received a call naming my price. They told me it would be $270 to get it repaired. I asked why and they told me it was because of my motherboard and it also needed to be replaced. At that price, it seem about right to get a DC Jack and my motherboard replaced. My laptop was ready to be 3 days later, but I got NO call from them saying so. I had to call in myself 2 days after it was ready because they were too lazy to inform me that my laptop was ready to be picked up. I though, oh well, as long as I get my laptop back, Ill be happy. Get there and I find out that all they did was replace my DC Jack, like they said but did NOT replace my motherboard as well and the price still came out to be $270. That is ridiculously over priced and easily twice the price geek squad would have charged and almost three times the amount had to pay compared to if I sent it out to Illinois to get my DC jack replaced. Way too much money for such a simple operation but I wouldnt be able to get my laptop had I not paid the price, so I did. More problems after I got home? I believe so. I turn it on and speakers dont work. It seems like they werent able to put everything back together correctly and as I took my laptop apart to plug speakers back in, I found that I was missing 6 screws. Not necessarily important to making the laptop work but it just shows that they have a bunch of high schoolers in the back fixing all the computers. That is just sub par repair. Pros: - Fixed what I asked them to. Cons: - Prices are easily twice the amount it would take to send to Geek Squad. - Lacks communication to the customers. - Doesnt do what they set out to do. - Cant put a laptop back together correctly. - Lost screws. - Hires minimum wage high schoolers to do their repairs. - I paid for a DC Jack and a Motherboard and only got the DC Jack.

"I never write reviews and I am sorry this is so long but. JESPER SAVED MY LIFE. I lost my phone and had to go back to a shattered iphone 3g. I continued to use it but the screen was completely crushed and I could hardly see anything. I took the phone in to get fixed for a really great price and they were speedy and had the part. It was amazing, they completely fixed the phone so it looked brand new and I didnt have to wait long at all. I paid, and thanked them and as I was on my way out, I DROPPED MY PHONE again in the wrong place and the screen cracked a little bit again. My phone has been dropped a million times before and never cracked but, I got it at the completely perfect angle and my heart dropped into my stomach. Needless to say, I was distressed beyond belief. long story short, I had been without a phone for the week before I got the shattered one and just gotten the older one fixed. I took it back in and was in hysterics. The part I appreciated beyond belief was how understanding and kind Jesper was. He showed me so much compassion that I felt like he was family. He offered to fix it for me for a great price and had it back to me SO QUICKLY. He knew how impatient I was about being phoneless and he express ordered and extra part so I could get my phone back THAT much faster. I am SOOOOO grateful for his amazing service and efficiency. Great quality and price but more importantly, his genuine concern. I will never forget the kindness I experienced at eBITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
