This grocery store is busy from about 3pm until close, but you seem to never see enough cashiers checking out customers. Also the express is not express when there is at least 5+ people waiting in line and it takes one person about 10 min or more to be checked out. The individual express checkout was better. A lot of changes need to come about to get customers checked out more promptly than what they are. Ive come across a supervisor and checkers who have went out there way to help me find items on sale. I would last encourage folk who work at grocery stores to learn there store, where items are, and if theyre on sale or not and to not tell customers I dont know, but instead" I dont know, but Ill find an answer for you!" When dealing with customers, one should not demonstrate a nonchalant attitude!!

The store manager was very rude and not helpful. I have a Safeway gift card that has money in it and activated but every time I try to buy anything in the store the card is declined and says "error". When I went to the manager to help solve this problem, she just told me its been like that and maybe its not activated. When I told her that the card is activated and I was able to use it for the first day and hasnt been working since then. I also told her that I called the number on the back of the card to make sure I had money in it and I do. She just said "oh I dont know then" and started checking out customers at the cashier. The mere disinterest to help or even offer to look into the matter from a store manager is not only disrespectful but also portrays the store in a negative light!!!

Been going to Safeway since 09/03/70. Selection of items isnt as varied as it used to be. That said, if its a food item, youll most likely find it at Safeway. They r open 24/7 & has a pharmacy. Deli just so-so but produce is excellent. My primary complaint about Safeway is they basically cater to younger people. I happen to b under 5 feet tall and their top shelves r all but unattainable for me. The Milk section is downright dangerous. I can reach everything at QFC & before long Im going to have switch to them permanently, despite the cost increase.

Every time I come here there are two cashiers and lines of 8 to 10 people each. The staff always looks and acts either tired or incompetent. I spend more time in line then I do shopping. Prices arent bad, but they arent worth the the hassel. I have shopped at Safeway for the better part of 20 years in multiple states and after seeing the overall quality of everything decline from freshness to variety I will no longer be shopping at any Safeway.

This is the go to spot in downtown Renton usually. Good hours - used to be 24 hours back in the day but they are now 6am - 2am which is still pretty good hours. They have pretty much all your basic grocery needs which is nice - the people that work there are always the same faces (maybe due to the times i come in but i swear they never leave). Decent prices and always got what i want even for late night cravings. So they get the job done.

Quality, selection, and price are all reasonable, but not outstanding. The staff has always been very friendly to me and provided great service, but they are frequently understaffed, particularly at night. I dont think Ive ever seen them with more than two checkout lanes open, and have waited 10+ minutes to pay on more than one occasion. Otherwise, this is my preferred grocery store in Renton.

They took out the self check lines and didnt add any staff so now the lines are consistently very long. The cleanliness is what you would excect from a downtown Renton Safeway (the other day I went in there and the bathroom was closed to clean up heroin needles). The staff is always friendly and helpful and it is a relatively large store. Management needs to get more employees in there.

Was came in to get produce and capers for dinner. Very well labeled isles. Ver nice staff. Terribly labeled produce. I would say more than half of the organic produce had unmarked prices and many of the regular produce was unmarked. Left with alot less produce than I was shopping for Because I was uncomfortable buying items with no price.

This safeway is always clean and well stocked. I have had wonderful experiences with the cashiers and other store team members. There never seem to be enough checkout lanes open though. There are always long lines to check out. They also took out their self checkout stations. I frequently go here and always have a positive experience.

Its a nice large & fully featured Safeway, but it doesnt seem staffed well enough to avoid some very long lines at the checkout. They either need more staff, or even better a set of self-check stands. That said, its a Safeway and that means lotsa good stuff at great prices, not to mention a full bakery and deli department.

I love Safeway! This one is so big, never crowded and everything is easy to find. I did notice that a lot of the prices have gone up... But it is still affordable. Plus, all the cashiers are nice! And so are the courtesy clerks! Thank you all for doing a great job! This is my favorite grocery store! ^_^ ♡

Its just a regular Safeway, nothing crazy special. I dont have anything bad to say about it though. The staff are pretty personable, friendly, and reasonable. The selection is good and the parking lot is spacious. Definitely consistent with what I hope to encounter at any Safeway.

Items are akways stocked and neat in all departments. I like that the pharmacy employees always remember me by face. and ask me follow up questions on past conversations. The store manager is also real nice, professional, and he is quick to address concerns if any.

Safeway is my go to grocery store; from the U Save app to the gas rewards I prefer Safeway over any other grocery store. At this Safeway, be mindful of your surroundings after exiting your car no matter day or night; break ins are not so uncommon.

Its a Safeway so good selection, and good prices. This place however has long lines at the register (no self checkout, they took it out too much theft), and be mindful of your bags/purses people have been pickpoketed here recently.

Well laid out store, gas stop. I have to say the employee that I told I had fallen on some ice in the parking lot showed no concern and was not willing to help direct me to someone to assist me. Poor care and concern

Safeways right up the street really nice little store to go to some good people work there its got a GameStop Pizza a little take out restaurants its right on the bus line for the F line in King County buses.

If you like waiting in line for extended periods then this is the place for you. Typical to have 2 or 3 checkers taking their sweet time as lines go back down the aisles. Go across the street to QFC

I love going into this Safeway I go there every morning before going to work all the employees are very friendly however on 6/23/17 there was a huge rat running around the door of the store.
