I do laundry every weekend next door to this Safeway. The first time I did it, I told the laundry manager that I was going to head to the Safeway for some groceries and that Id be back in 10 minutes. She laughed and said good luck with that. Sure enough, after picking up my two items, I went to the front only to find that there was only one lane open, and there were 2 people in line with carts full of groceries. 5 minutes later, I was still in line, and the line had expanded to 5 people. The cashier called for backup, but it was still another 5 minutes before I was able to leave. And that was in the early morning, when it wasnt even busy. Ive come to find that my experience was par for the course. There is only ever one cashier at the register, and they take forever to call for backup. I began reminding the cashier to call for backup and the backup would take forever to show up, if at all. After my experience today, waiting in the single line for 15 minutes while neither backup cashier appeared, Ive decided that Im going to drive to Fred Meyer instead. This Safeway desperately needs to get a self checkout, or have someone manning the quick checkout lines. Im not the only one with this experience - check the other reviews!

Will never return to this store. I know grocery stores in general dont provide training to baggers anymore. Why thats the case, Ill never understand, but clearly at this store they are actually taught to not even use common sense. Either that, or they are told to be deliberately disrespectful. Arrived home to the find the following in our bags: a 5 lb bag of rice plus a 4lb tub of peanut butter on top of 2 bags of chips. Another had 2 large bags of frozen chicken breasts on top of cereal. Another bag had apples/produce in with raw meat!! I will shop elsewhere (suddenly, the stores that put the frozen food in with the dry goods dont seem so bad.....) - Oh, how I long for the lost art of grocery bagging!

10/15/2014 Madelyn, is amazing! As I was checking out she noticed that I was purchasing some meat that was old and told me about it right away - then when I was leaving one of the bags of groceries did not make it into my cart and she brought it out to the parking lot to look for me! I am so grateful for her help today and I also want to mention that I am a long time customer of the store and she has consistently been pleasant and helpful! Yay Safeway for having incredible staff!

The store says its 24 online and on the store. I went there at 2:00 am and theres people in there stocking but a sign on the door handwritten saying there closed from 2-6. I just drive half an hour and am very very upset Thanks Safeway I just wanted to add that I did talk to a kid there that night and he did say the reason they shut down the store was because of some issues they were having with some thieves trying to rob the place

This is for the jamba juice. Usually I have a great experience but today not only did it take an unnessary long time to be served but there was also people behind me waiting. Then when I finally ordered, i ordered two larges, both were very runny, kinda like soup. Also one was supposed to have granola, and it didnt. It wouldnt be a big deal if it was smalls but two larges is alot of money wasted.

Relative to the surrounding Safeway in the Eastside, this is the worst one. Expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes at the checkout line. They never have enough cashiers and the employees dont seem very happy and dont smile much. They all work though and are nice, at least the shelves are stocked too. Ive been here at least 6 times and the checkout portion had always been the most frustrating.

The U.S. Bank in this Safeway is the Worst bank ever. Rude tellers, and extremely ignorant. One week they act one way then the next week they act totally different. They dont follow through with anything they say they are going to do. Ive never been treated worse at any bank , ever. Definitely wont be opening an account there or recommending that anyone else open an account with them .

Drew and Giseppi are absolutely the best management staff ever! They have customer service down to a tee. I have been coming to this store for years and even now I liven in kirkland but I go there. They remember my name, and they are always willing to help me find something. They even ask about my family and recommend good places to eat. Love it!

Safeway is full of nice people waiting to help you out. There is a wide assortment of food. The hot foods section is pretty good too, but the serving sizes have gone down over the years. The employees are great; theyre on their toes and fast when you ask them to try to find something.

Can have decent sales for card holders and the store itself is small but nice. Good selection of organic produce & dairy. Service is not great (always a line, no self serve, not great at packing a grocery bag, and rarely put items in cart for you) and maybe overtaxed.

Ive never given a 1 star review before but this Safeway merits it. Thier management is horrible. There are never enough cashiers and the lines are insanely long. Exoect a 20 - 30 mi ute check out regardkess of the day and time you shop here.

I have consistently had bad experience with a certain cashier. He is rude , unhelpful and the behaviour sometimes is dependant on how you look. I have found other employees very helpful but just for this one guy, I would not go there again.

Horrible lines at checkout. Nice people working here, but it appears that management has decided to chronically understaff this location. Our household is switching to QFC, because even though its further away, its actually faster.

Some of the items i usually buy were more expensive than i am used to, but i was happy that they carried a good selection of produce and vegan meat substitutes (including things some other stores have stopped carrying).

Employees are nice and selection is average, but they could really use some more staff or self checkout lanes. No matter what time I come here, be it 10am or 2am, there are always long lines to check out.

Its usually crowded since fred mayer near this store is closed for renovation. and there are less number of billing counters open in evening even though its crowded. No self billing counters

Need to have a self check-out counter. Usually post evening only one counter is open and there is a long queue for that. You end up waiting for 10-15 mins at times just to buy 1-2 items.

Long lines every day Update: another super long line this morning at 10:15 AM, I hope this Safeway goes out of business now that the Fred Meyer across the street is back open.
