This place is a joke of a store. They are so busy and so understaffed that they cant even clean up spills. Either their beer cooler stopped working or someone dropped something, but there was a huge puddle of water or alcohol on the floor and the single safety cone wasnt anywhere near the spill which caused me, and the pregnant(!!) checker I told, to slip in it and fall. She said they have the store on cameras -- I bet they can find it! They are lucky they dont get sued! Dont bother trying to get anything from the deli or express either -- on a previous trip last week, 5 of us stood there for almost 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged we were waiting -- yet there was a girl less than 10 feet away that was aimlessly using the slicer. She turned around, saw us, kept right on slicing. Worst store I have ever been to. Thank God theres a QFC, Trader Joes and a WinCo nearby instead.

Had an order in advance for a Hello Kitty birthday cake. Just got a call today (the Birthday is tomorrow) saying they dont have Hello Kitty. I am not upset they didnt have it but more upset they let me know only a day before the birthday. Its something they should have made sure they have at least a few days before making the cake. I was lucky Albertsons had it and is able to do make it on short notice. A similar situation happened to my sister in law, I dont know if it was this Safeway or another one. She ordered a Tinkerbell cake and on the day of the birthday when she picked it up, they didnt make the same Tinkerbell cake she ordered. They told her they didnt have it and made a different one. They never called her to let her know, because she had no time to look anywhere else..she had to buy the cake she didnt order. I would go somewhere else for birthday cakes.

Showed up at 12:56 am on 11/22/16 and got some snobby broken English dark haired older lady guarding the door. As I approached her her first words (as she stands behind the door) we are closed!! She yells!!! Im like what??? Its 12:56??? How are you closed if your business hours say open until 1? She goes we are closed!! Again!! With no explanation!!! Im like are you kidding me ?!?! And I told her that is bull*** she replies with I was going to help you but now Im not! I was super confused. 2 seconds ago you told me you are closed and told me to leave ...and once I told you it was bull*** you are going to help me ? Get real now. Fix your store hours please. If you wanna close at 12:56 put 12:56 on the door not 1:00am. And teach your employees how to communicate with people. Especially the ones with broken English.

I live three blocks from this hell hole! They just built apartments across the street. The intersection on 320th makes it a terrible place to visit. Not easy to get into, crowed as $#@& you know what I mean. Ghetto, Im from the ghetto, but this brings a new standard. Safeway doesnt have enough employees to run the business. Lines are long, cashiers hating it! Id rather drive 10 mins to F.M. and get groceries and look at chicks in Yoga pants. The store layout is awful... makes no sense. Maybe Safeway should look into Lean+ practices. Lean out your store! Its weird how this store makes money? Bye Felicia!

Uptight "security"! saw well mannered black gal being not so kindly escorted out just for being parked for..reasons yet theyve always got the loitering teens and others out front and nothing said. A couple deli women I guess are too afraid to smile one gets so easily mixed up and yet so petulant about "how I place my order" EVERY TIME!! Also, unnecessary intercom "messages" on more than a few occasions! Additionally if they could place items amd racks, etc so that youre not constantly banging into them and knocking stuff off of shelves always helpful too, im SURE theres some way for improvement here

This store is always busy. Short on workers at registers. I went in and on my last visit I was waiting in line forever with my kid who was getting impatient. A worker comes over and opens a new line she calls the man BEHIND me over to her and helps him. By the time I FINALLY got to the front of the counter they were out of what I needed. I asked for something else and got home only to find out she did not even put the one thing I needed her to get for me in my bag. Beyond pissed. I sent someone else back to get what Id paid for.

This is the absolute Worst Safeway Ive ever been to. They do not care about good customer service at all. Many of the employees are rude and incompetent. When asked if customer service is important to them I got a snotty sholder shrug and the flippant remark that "I can go somewhere else if i dont like it, thats my choice" I worked at a Safeway for many years and customer service was a top priority for the company , but not this particular store Yes it is my choice and I choose to take my buisness elsewhere from now on.

The store was dirty, the customers were rowdy, and it seemed like half the employees had visitors. Only stopped in because I needed a late night pharmacy. They had most (but not all) of what I needed, but the pharmacist behaved as if he had zero time for us. His advice contradicted the orders given by the doctor and he was literally throwing our items into the bag as he was getting us checked out. Will probably never return anyway as I was just passing through the area. Would avoid if it were a regular option.

Placed an order for a birthday cake for my son. I have been having a horrible month and that cake meant a lot to me since he has been my rock. I went to pick it up and they had nothing for me. No record of the order at all. The store manager offered to discount another cake for the same price but the few they had were more for kids or ugly. My son ended up with a birthday cupcake. The lady in the bakery apologized and I know it was sincere but overall I wasnt considered a valued customer.

I like the deli counter in this store. The employees are always friendly and polite. They even care about the quality of the hot deep fried items and wont sell anything that might be getting dried out. The stores beer prices are a bit high, even at club card sale price. The cashiers are hindered a bit by the slow card processing equipment, which probably they get blamed for. In any event, they are friendly and engaging. 4 stars because of the beer prices... otherwise great!

Goodbye Safeway. I will not be returning. Your prices are high, your service is poor. This store closes one of its entrance at a certain time of night and they never have enough cashiers. In the past 20 visits or so Ive never waited less than 20 minutes at checkout and there are always at least 5 unused checkout lanes. I predict this chain will close all locations in Washington within 5 years as other companies innovate and out-perform them. Sad.
