This use to be my go to Nugget until the female cashier with the teal streaks pulled me off to the side because she wanted to talk about something. Surprised by her request I abliged. I was so thrown off when she said that employees have asked to please stop saying sexual remarks at them!? I asked politely to what she was referring to but she didnt want to say in order to protect the employees?? (From who, an honourable veteran who served this country) I felt so embarrassed and confused I didnt know what to say other than Ill simply do my shopping at the Nugget on the other side of town.. If I have ever disrespected anyone of the employees at this Nugget or made them feel uncomfortable in anyway my sencierest apologize. I always enjoyed coming here because I could sit down at a table to eat breakfast and nobody would bother me and my service dog. Im so disappointed but I appreciate everyone who was kind and professional. ~Warmest Regards

Simply the worse service that Ive received so far in Davis. I was going to return some unopened baby formula that I bought two weeks ago from the store. They did not accept the return although I have the receipt and proof of purchase. Their website says "If it’s not the highest quality, it doesn’t belong in our stores. That’s one reason for our almost unreasonably lenient return policy. If you’re not happy with a product you purchase in our stores, simply bring it back, and we will replace it or give you a full refund, no questions asked. We hope our guests never have to use this policy, but we’re happy to provide it." Actually the manager, Eric Lam, asked questions and refused my return! He did show little patience. The return policy listed in their Website is simply NOT true. I will never go to the worst ever Nugget again!

Best grocery store ever! Ive been shopping at the Nugget since 1999 and there is no equal. The prepared food is restaurant quality, the specialty food is vast, the produce and meat are the freshest you will find at a major grocery store. The beer selection is awesome as well. Honestly though what I love most about the Nugget are the people. All Nugget locations I have been to have friendly and genuinely kind people, but the Covell store is unsurpassed in the level of high quality staff. In a world filled with unhappy workers its refreshing to go to a store where people look and act happy to be working. Part of my daily unwinding from work is a trip to the Nugget. Love this store!

Nugget Market, or as some like to call it the (newJ w/pinkies up) is an upscale supermarket in line with Whole Foods, just with a more local feel. If you look hard some of their items are cheaper than their competitors, especially in the area of pre packaged foods and non-perishables. This spot has a really nice take out counter with a bakery, hot foods and salad bar, and a juicery. Its bascially all one could want in a supermarket. If cost isnt too big of an issue for you, come shop here

You get what you pay for is epitomized by Nugget Market. They have an amazing selection of food, wine, cheese, olives - everything. Tons of fresh made breads, salads, and other local deli items. Almost every department is the best in Davis - meat, vegetables, dairy - everything. Also, they lent us some carts to use for a thanksgiving food distribution at our local church. They are simply great here. Expensive - ish, but good value. They also take Apple Pay.

Favorite grocery store in the world so far! Awesome sandwiches and coffee bar. Great selection of unique snacks and alternative foods, in addition to the staples. I havent found many stores where you can get both out of the box and "normal" food in the same place, which makes it an easy one stop shop for me. Its better than Whole Foods in terms of both selection and prices. Only down side is that you cant find Nuggets everywhere!

Although Nugget Market is definitely on the pricey side and I rarely go; sometimes quality food is worth the price! Nugget Market not only has a healthy selection of foods and products, it also has a fairly unique selection of them. Their sandwich/deli is what keeps me going though. The sandwiches are a decent portion/size for around $8 and they taste amazing! Its so convenient to be able to call in and order as well.

A great selection of groceries at decent prices. You can go buy safeway brand and it might be cheaper (might!) but youll be missing out on the quality. Great fresh bread, great deli department, good Chinese kitchen. Make your own salad bar and 6-8 fresh made soups to choose from. Good selection of desserts as well. Great produce along with a good fish and meat selection make Nugget my favorite place to shop.

The hours are good, from 6am to 11pm. I like the coffee and juice bar. It includes all the smoothies and juices that I can imagine. If that isnt enough, you can go to the produce section and take your selection to the juice bar where they will juice your vegetables and while you wait. The prices are as low as any other grocery store off your selection is not from the deli part of the store.

I no longer live in the area, but Nugget Market is one of the things I miss most and I take every opportunity to visit. This is truly one of the best managed grocery stores Ive shopped in. I cant say whether I love their deli (and their amazing sandwiches), bakery, cheese case, meat department, or beer selection most. I have never had a bad experience here.

This Nugget is pretty awesome. Its the better one of the two that are in Davis. It has a juice/coffee bar and the full on salad bar/ hot foods area. They have a great selection of cheeses and wine. Theres always helpful people to give you samples or to give you advice when youre overwhelmed by the selection.

Fabulous friendly staff, expansive selection including bulk foods, imported goods and organic foods (more than any store other than the CO-OP.) A deli, bakery and coffee/drink spot to die for. This is, by far, my favorite grocery store in Davis- Trader Joes and the Davis CO-OP are my other go to markets.

Best Grocery Store in Davis. Huge store, very well decorated and welcoming. Prices are usually going to be higher than what youd spend at Target or something, but the produce is noticeably better. Produce not quite as good as the Ikedas fruit stand on Mace & I-80, but its great for the location.

While it can be expensive, Nugget offers a more local variety of health conscious foods compared to your average market or Whole Foods. They have a large ready-made food area and a large amount of options. Theres also a large amount of seating inside the store as well as in a patio area outside.

Nugget is very good for meats if you can get a good deal. For instance, I got some Filet Mignon for about $8/lb vs the normal $22/lb. But in general, their prices are a bit more than Safeway or other grocery stores. I still like it though because the people are nice and very helpful

Quality foodstuffs, but their prepared food selection is smaller than Whole Foods and to my taste the salads are sub-par, though sushi are pretty decent. Kudos for bread quality, hands down the best in town. Sandwiches are also very decent. Very friendly customer service.
